Pretty decent place to grab a spicy chicken sandwich or fish sandwich meal that comes with fries that are seasoned and a drink of your choice. Plenty of parking available in the private lot. Service was good as well, although I asked for no cheese on the sandwiches they added cheese hut gladly remade them without cheese. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Ambiance gives of burger shack, kinda a hike in the wall but in a good way. read more

Went for 2 medium milkshakes and 2 fries and it cost me over 27.00, I wouldn't mind if it was good, but my chocolate banana milkshake didn't taste anything like chocolate or banana, and the fries were soggy and cold, don't waste your money. I'm always up for good burger and decided to try this place on a whim. Parking is limit so you might have to park on the street. There's nothing spectacular about their building and it looks a bit rustic. But I don't think it has any real bearing on the food quality. I'm always up for a good burger. Their menu has a good variety of choices. Tolling the nice I decided on their chili-burger combo. In my opinion, it's the chili that truly makes a good chili-burger. The chili here wasn't bad but neither was it tasty. I definitely had to add some mustard and pepper to my burger. Now the fries were pretty darn good. Sorry Coke folks, but this is a Pepsi house. Now prices here are still trying to stay down as compared to everyone else who are raising theirs. I'd like to try some of the other menu items. I'll come back again if I'm in the area. read more

This place is a fried burger joint. They serve everything from burgers to fried shrimp baskets. I like how they serve crinkle cut fries and Pepsi products. The fries were good. This place is just a neighborhood stop. There's no bells and whistles. It is what it is but the food is good. It's not the best food in town but it definitely is a nice spot to stop for some regular American food. The service is fair, the food comes out quickly and inside it is clean though it has a drive-in feel. their milkshakes are very good. It is one of my go to so whenever I just want something sweet. I'm giving this review four star is because it has a nostalgic place in my heart but also they have been the longest place to stay open at that location aside from when it was country club drive-in. I've had to eaten here at least fifty times since moving here three years ago. Never has let me down. You can have it delivered and it's perfect. I sometimes go in at lunch and pick It up, good. I am a burger lover and I usually get the double bacon with cheese. Very well priced My bestie gets the jalapeño Poppers. No complaints from her. This is a perfect burger spot to me. This place is fire and anyone who says different doesn't have good taste in a burger. Highly recommend the pineapple shake as well. Haven't branched off into other options but may do the shrimp dinner next time. Real 209 joint and you are welcome for me plugging you in. Been here a few times for a quick meal. The hamburger, french fries and onion rings are always tasty. The bun is always fresh and the burger is loaded with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The have a colorful picture menu posted on the wall so you can get an idea of what to order, The area maybe not be for everyone located in the country club area, east of i5. You can sit inside or outside. It appears a lot of people come through to pickup meals during lunch hour. . Staff are friendly and service is good. The burgers here are awesome! The burgers were nice and juicy,I recommend getting the supper bacon burger.The fries were ok,they were perfectly made but needed better seasoning. This place poses a huge health and safety risk to customers as it does not advertise that there is only one functional fryer. They also fail to post or even mention this fact or the fact that as a result the same oil is used to fry everything listed on the menu that is fried. What this means is if you have any shellfish allergies for example, and order fries after shrimp were fried in the same fryer, you will have an allergic reaction like my brother did which incidentally resulted in a trip to the E.R. What I find pathetic is the non chalant attitude taken by the employees when I called and brought this to their attention. I will definitely follow up with the health inspector and the department of public health to review this business so other individual are not affect by such haphazard business practices. read more

In a nutshell: Food 3 out of 5 Service 3 out of 5 Cleanliness 1.5 out of 5 For explanation keep reading. Food was okay. Burgers were a bit dry, but not bad. Veg seemed fresh. Fried chicken was surprisingly crispy and juicy (including breast) if not a little too sweet. The people working there were more or less friendly and helpful, but devoid of personality. Not a problem I suppose, just a nitpick. I'm not one to complain about restaurant cleanliness, and I'm actually known to throw caution to the wind for a good looking meal. However, this was a bit much for me. Besides the fact the the inside of this place seems to be covered in a layer of grease and dust, the cockroach that crawled across the counter while I was ordering before running back and hiding under the counter was a bit much for me. And then there was the bathroom that had a giant dead cockroach on the ground, and no soap. When I went back in and told an employee, they offered me hand sanitizer. When I declined and insisted on soap (on principle at this point), to his credit, the employee at least went and put soap in the bathroom. All in all, if you're in a pinch, and you aren't queezy about sanitation, this might be an option. But if it's a Wednesday or Friday you should really just go to Victory Grill on Monte Diablo for a far superior experience. read more

I tried their special and the Pandan texture was hard and tasted old like it was refrigerated for a while. I don't know if they're cutting corners or what happened but I don't think I would go back here anymore unfortunately.

My hub's, daughter, niece and I went here for breakfast on a busy Saturday (yesterday) for the first time. I've heard about this place but never found the time to stop in. The lines were out the door but the patio had seating. An eating patron told us to claim the table and go inside to order. Once inside we ordered. The food came out as hot in HUGE portions! From my daughter's BLT to my omelette breakfast! Tasty, hot and SATISFYING. DO go early on a Saturday because after 12 it gets crowded. DO sit outside because you'll probably find a table faster. read more

Wide variety of foods! Something for everyone here. Good food, reasonable prices. Really sketchy, which I like in a burger joint. Big juicy burgers, large selection, and tasty hand-dipped style shakes, reminds me of the old fashioned drive-in that I car hopped for in high school. Come on people. They were rude not only to me but the people who ordered behind me the burger sucked fries were hard not crispy but the Pepsi was cold good job people. Keep acting like a Dick to your customers and you will sink yourself no doubt. Save your money go somewhere else this place and people don't deserve your money screw them. read more

In fact, I like when the mayo, ketchup, and sauces start mixing together and dripping a little. That's part of the experience! But what I cannot stand is a burger so overloaded with sauce that you can't even taste the meat. This burger got it right. I ordered the one with the cheese skirt, and that alone was worth the trip. They pile cheese around the burger on the grill, cover it, and let that cheese melt and grill into this crispy skirt around the burger. The cheese wasn't just cheesy either. It had a slight salty, seasoned flavor that made it pop. The crispy edges were basically an extra reward for clogging your arteries. And then there were the fries! They weren't advertised as seasoned fries, but there was definitely something going on besides potatoes and salt. Maybe it was the oil. Maybe they season them before frying. I don't know. What I do know is dem' joints was GOOD! The atmosphere added to the experience. It had the feel of a family-owned spot. I came in shortly after 1:00, so I may have missed the lunch rush. The young man who took my order was courteous, and everyone seemed comfortable and friendly. It even looked like some friends had stopped by to bring the owner a special dessert. It felt less like a corporate restaurant and more like a neighborhood spot where people actually know each other. Great burger. Great fries. Friendly people. Good atmosphere. I'm actually headed to an event in Stockton, and I'm already planning to stop back by for another burger on my way home. That probably tells you everything you need to know. It's still the same building at the corner of Waterloo and N. Filbert st. and they have their own parking, which makes it easy to stop in. The chalkboard menu has been replaced with a digital menu, but all the old favorites are still available. Really, not much else has changed. They offer all day breakfast sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, additional sandwiches and some delicious fried options including multiple options of fries. They're also known for their milkshakes. The team here greeted us right away and gave us time to look over the menu and snap some photos before we placed our order. On this visit we ordered a small Rocky Road milkshake ($7.75) and a small is still a generous sized milkshake. I split it with my friend and it was plenty for both of us. One thing that makes their shakes special is that they blend them into a thick shake, but add an extra scoop of ice cream on top. This way it's nice and cold and you can scoop it or let it melt as you drink from the bottom of the shake and the thick consistency lasts longer. Stopping in reminded me why we love this spot and that I need to visit more often- especially for a full meal so I can enjoy their burgers again.
