Called for service through American Home Shield on July 14th, they are the preferred electrical repair service, this was the 4 th appointment request, they promised to show up, NO Show, again, wasted over 7 hours waiting and our attic fan is still not working and AHS still charged us $120 for the service call. 44 days is a long time to wait for a service call. read more

I don't like to beg anyone to take my money...I had an appointment for home repair with an Electrician and he didn't show up or call. I reached out a couple of times still no response. I let my fingers do the walking (Google) and found someone else. The price was more than double. I said well I hate to beg people to take my money and I will see if I can get the other person to respond. The guy on the other end said I'll do it for that price. Washer and dryer died within seconds of each other (both had full loads) so I really needed immediate help. Sent an SOS to Super Electric and they sent an electrician out within the hour. Edgar discovered that a fuse had blown and he replaced it and gave me a new wall socket as well. Great job! Very personable and efficient. Initially, I would have given this company a better review. Michael came out to our home and replaced several sockets, evaluated 2 sockets with boxes needing replacement (the bottom edge of each is broken) and checked out a location for an outdoor socket placement. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and a discount and set up an appointment to return to replace the boxes and add the outdoor socket. He picked the time and date. It seemed odd that he didn't have the parts to replace the boxes, especially since I had given detailed information about them over the phone. We have a Lowe's about 2 miles away, but there was no mention of running over there to get the needed parts. He did seem concerned about the return traffic that he would be driving in. Today, he did not show for the appointment. I called the office 40 minutes past the due time and left a message. At a little over an hour after the due time, Michael did call back. He apologized and offered another electrician through the same company who was at that time a lot closer, but who still had another hour before he would be free to come. For his own excuse, he said the traffic was bad on the bridge, but he hadn't called to let me know. I stayed home to take care of this today, and I really needed to be elsewhere taking care of another problem. While the estimate for the work was reasonable, and I could have had another electrician arrive in an hour, that electrician would likely have been here past 5 PM and might have arrived without the parts needed for the repairs and installation and possibly unwilling to get the parts locally. I would have had to reschedule again. I am frustrated that my time wasn't respected. The sockets that were replaced are working fine, so I am giving this company 2 stars instead of none. read more

Super Electric really stands out from the rest - at least in Vallejo. I own a manufatured home where I started to experience an array of strange electrical issues - power coming and going, power strips shorting out, the TV shutting off when the fridge cycled on (and they use separate circuits!), light bulbs in several fixtures blowing out repeatedly, etc. I needed to find an electrician quickly, but soon found out that some firms simply won't service a manufactured home (WTF)! Another who would needed 24hrs to come out! After several unfruitful inquiries, I called Super Electric. They had no problem servicing a manufactured home and they gave me a same-day appointment. After hearing my layman's discription of all the weird issues, the gave me a blanket price with a promise to come as many times as needed to solve the problem. I agreed although at that point I was honestly skeptical that there wouldn't be some 'gotcha' once they arrived. (Other firms typically charge a nonrefundable site visit fee plus a diagnostic fee which may be applied to further work done by them). Long story short, Super Electric arrived on time - they identified a couple of inside issues involving the neutral wiring. The initial corrective measures did make a difference, but they told me that the outside utility pedastal would likely need to be examined if problems returned. Sure enough, by the next morning some (not all) of the previous issues had re-occured. One call had Super electric back out to me that day - they found additional issues with a loose neutral wire in the pedastal. However, regulations require contacting the mobile park management before doing any work on a utility pedastal. That meant Super Electric had to come out to me for a third day in a row - which they did! Finally with park personnel and the electrican from Super Electric the whole electric service connection to the meter & breakers was replaced (at no additional cost to me) - and all the weird problems inside went away!!! I can't thank Super Electric enough for living up to their word! They did return as many times as was needed and there were no hidden 'gotchas'. Couldn't make something like this up - if you need a reliable, honest electrician in Solano then call Super Electric! read more

Very positive experience with Super Electric. Called them at 9 30am on a Saturday morning when I was having a possible breaker short in my electrical box. Michael called me back within an hour and scheduled someone to come out later in the afternoon (could have been much sooner but I was going to be out). I was looking for someone asap to come install 9 phone jacks. I talked to Michael (I believe he is the owner) and said they don't really work on low voltage jobs but that he would do it. I was so grateful since I needed someone fast. So on Monday Demetrio shows up very nice and respectful young man went to straight to work and even picked up after him self. The next day AT&T comes to set up a dial tone and told me the wiring was wrong from them (Super Electric)that they messed up and now AT&T wanted to charge me extra to supposedly fix what they did wrong. While this was going on I was on the phone with Michael and he coached me through the whole thing on what to say to AT&T.... It wasn't his obligation to do so but he helped me save some money that AT&T wanted to take from me. He then sent Demetrio again and in a matter of 1 minute he fixed the problem that AT&T wanted to charge 300 dollars extra for. Very professional is all I can say. I am in rural Vacaville, got solar panels on the ground three years ago from a company that doesn't exist anymore. Early this year I had a leak in the ground and someone trying to help digging for the leak broke the connection between the solar and the house. I called different known electrical companies and they either gave me an appointment in one month or were not interested on the job. I called this guy randomly from the yellow pages and he came the same day, rally late (like 7 pm) but he did. he went to buy stuff to the Home Depot and came back, even later, but he worked late at night, he finished close to midnight.He not only fixed the connection of the solar to the house, but since he touched it my elctrical bill went really lower, even lower than it was after the solar was installed. I was paying my annual charges to PG&E like $1300 (NEM charges or whatever,) this year I paid nothing.He charged less than I expected and took care of some lighting as well. I fully recommend him and I hope he is available if anything electrical comes up again. read more

I learned about Super Electric through Yelp and am really glad I did. When I first contacted Super Electric I left a voice mail message and had a call back from Mike within about 5 minutes. I was very surprised when he quoted me a price for the work over the phone even before seeing the job in person. He had one of his guys come out the same day to check out what we needed and we scheduled an appointment for the next week. We needed to run the electrical for an overhead light in one room and for a couple of pendant lights in the kitchen. His guy arrived on time and completed the work quickly and did really good work. The price was very, very reasonable....in fact less than we were expecting to pay. We needed a new light fixture/chandelier and extra chain for another room and he gave us a recommendation to find what we were looking for. His guy came back a second time to install that fixture once we had it and again we are very happy with the work. I will definitely use Super Electric if we need this type of service in the future and will recommend to others. My home was built in 2004 under strict lighting laws, so the builder chose to install recessed lights that could only accommodate PLC 13-watt florescent lights that plug in instead of screw in...in the kitchen! I think my cell phone generates more than 13 watts of light! I was fed up with cooking in the dark so I started to look for new light bulbs. After realizing that these light bulbs do not come in higher wattage amounts and that I could not simply change the light bulb, I looked for ways to change from the plug in to the screw in light, but then it turned into a job for an electrician since the wiring needed to be changed. I started searching on YELP for electricians in my area and read some great reviews for Super Electric. I gave them a call, and told them my dilemma and hesitantly asked how much they would charge to convert my kitchen lights to LED lights. Not only did Michael quote a fair price, he also gave some great advice as to where I can pick up my own conversion kits for an excellent price! They were even available for same-day service, but we scheduled an appointment for the next morning. Dario arrived on time, finished the job in less than an hour and removed garbage from the premises. The lights turned out amazing and I don't have to cook in the dark anymore!
