My coworker said his friend had used this company to rent from before, so he called them up to work out a deal to rent a Polaris Rzr for a half day. We ended up paying $220. We pulled up to the side of the road and the dude had his truck with the Polaris waiting for us. We signed the rental agreement and he gave us the rundown on operating the vehicle and showed us the map and what trails to away from. He said just to text him when we were 20 minutes out and he'd drive back and wait for us. I forget his name, but he was very nice and knowledgeable. The whole experience was amazing and it was such a rush to be offroading in that beast of an ATV! All four of us had plenty of time behind the wheel and the scenery up in the mountains was breathtaking. We drove through deep water, mud, did donuts..this thing was unstoppable! The rain came and kind of put damper in things...Rain hitting you in the face at 40mph stings a bit and the girls were cold, but we toughed it out for a few hours and still had a blast! Definitely call up New Heights Rentals if you're in the Salt Lake City area and want to do some off roading. It's one hell of a good time!

Pretty good outfit. We decided to take our kids on a 4-wheeling adventure over the long holiday. We…read morecalled a couple of other rental outfitters and Peak was less expensive. Other places charge five dollars for helmet rental, $50 for early pick up or late drop off and or overnight fee. Peak offers free helmet rentals. They also had a much better return policy allowing us to return the equipment the next morning. We rented a Kawasaki Teryx which seats 5 which I was able to pull with my 4.7 liter Tundra. When we got to the yard the equipment was on the trailer (which is included in the rental) with tie-downs looking ready to go. There was a little bit of a snafu locating the key and making sure the oil level was good. Turns out the previous renter had dropped it off just that morning and the machine had not yet been checked out for damage by the time we were to take it and go. Jeff the mechanic checked it out before we left, so we hooked it up and away we went. I had asked Miles where we might go and he recommended the Skyline Wasatch trail which is pretty close-by. We started at the Bountiful "B" and headed north toward Farmington Canyon. My wife drove the whole day with a smile on her face. The kids had a blast. It was a nice day and as we got higher in elevation the kids started getting cold. Great problem to have on a 90° plus summer day. We got to the Apex where we could see the Weather Station on top of the mountain separating Morgan/Davis counties. That is where the trail starts heading down toward Farmington Canyon trailhead. Lo and behold the trail on the north side of the summit was blocked by snow! July 5th and the snow was still a factor. It was awesome. We had a great time playing in the snow and snapping photos for the album. My only concerns were these: the equipment not having been checked out at check-out and we did not receive any signed paperwork when we turned-in the equipment. That made me wonder if I would have to go through the "getting charged for damage we didn't do" wringer. Also the gas gauge on our OHV seemed to be a bit wonky. That gave us a little bit of anxiety. Peak Adventure staff (Miles and Jeff) were very helpful and accommodating.

Very cool guys. Totally helpful and great equipment too!read more

This is one of the first negative reviews I've ever written for a business, and I'm doing so after…read moremuch careful consideration because although I feel truly wronged, I dont want to make trouble for anyone. That said, having just made the first of many credit card payments for work I never would have had done given the full scope of what my vehicle needed, I feel compelled to prevent this from happening to anyone else. While the actual work done here seems fairly competent, the diagnostic process seems about as accurate as playing darts blindfolded. I brought my car in because it was creaking misfiring, and the check engine light was on. I told them that I believed my engine mounts were worn out and that I also needed a diagnoses for the misfiring. They told me that the cause for the misfiring was likely that my spark plugs and ignition coils were worn out, because that usually happens around 100k miles and my vehicle was past that. I agreed to have them replaced along with new engine mounts, to the tune of $2,600. I was told that after this my vehicle would be like a totally different car. The very next day, my car misfired again and the check engine light came back on. When I brought it back, they informed me that they don't have any way of knowing this fo sure, but I probably actually had a blown head gasket. I brought my car to a different mechanic shop who did a full and complete diagnostic from bumper to bumper and took photos of everything wrong with the car- from a blown head gasket to a leaking transmission to almost completely worn wheel bushings and a host of other problems totaling over $8,200 in addition to the $2,600 I had already paid at Red Rock Auto. Had I known this in the first place, I never would have paid $2,600 on a doomed old van that needed almost $11,000 in work done. I had to buy a new van and that $2,600 would have really helped with the down payment. I'm tempted to say that I feel duped, but I don't think there was any malice or fraud going on- just general laziness or incompetence in the diagnostic process that very negatively affected me.
