It's been two weeks since I had lunch here and I still haven't found a way to summarize the experience into a cohesive review. So I'm going to start with 4 stars and then give you a list of facts that I observed and you can make your own conclusions? I ordered the chicken pesto (hot) panini. It was huge. It was a round sandwich, cut into four pieces. I would guess it had an 8 inch diameter. In addition to the ingredients on the menu, additional sub ingredients were added, like oil, salt, pepper. It was very greasy and delicious. (But not melty, if that's what you're expecting. It's the style where the insides are warm but it's not really grilled?) The lady who was working there tried really hard to be friendly and helpful, and worked very hard. They do not accept credit cards anymore because they no longer have a credit card machine, but they've left all the signs up for credit cards and will get frustrated if you try to use one. They do not have a cash register. Everything is added up with a calculator and change made manually. This can get complicated if you order many things at once. They do not deliver and have no way to order ahead (except maybe calling). They have no exterior lighting, so they always look closed if you're driving by during the day. The hot sandwiches need to be made in the back, so expect the sandwich maker to go back and forth repeatedly. Ok, I'm going to try to summarize: The food itself was really good, huge, and not really what I expected when I ordered a "panini". The experience was slow and moderately frustrating. They try really hard but don't really have the basic infrastructure you expect from an operating retail business. I would eat there again if I were in no hurry and had cash. read more

Hey I live in McGinley Square, in Jersey City and the local Subway sandwich shop is just a block away, but Super Hero Sub Shop blows Subway out of the water! The bread is always soft, fresh, tasty and their meats are NOT processed, but cooked/roasted whole and you taste the seasonings in the meat beautifully! I just got a Medium size hot roast beef, with Muenster cheese, onions and mayo and it is DELICIOUS. I wish they stayed open past 4pm but they truly are a lunchtime treat! Highly recommend! read more

I LOVE this place. My boyfriend and I come here quite often and they never let us down. One of the owner's, Nelson, makes a SLAMMING pizza, so when you visit, be sure to ask for him if he's there! Everyone there is super friendly and offer great customer service which is a plus and only adds to their business. I was really disappointed when they had to give up the fryer and didn't have wings anymore, but that doesn't stop them. And that especially doesn't stop me because I love their sandwiches. They're not shy with the ingredients and you can see and taste not only the quality and freshness of their food, but also the care they put into it. You can tell it's all real and not even their meat is processed. I love the variety of foods and treats they offer and at fair prices too: -Potato Salad -Macaroni Salad -Red Velvet Cake -Cheese Cake -Slushies My number one experience: I had requested a catered order from them for a job function and they really came through and even went above and beyond. I wanted some desserts for the office and chose cookies, however, I wasn't a fan of what they mentioned. So when I expressed my taste and what I was looking for, they HAPPILY and willingly accommodated and delivered it for FREE! Talk about excellent customer service! I also have to encourage you to try their S'MORES DESSERT PIZZA. This is an off the chain personal dessert pizza but shareable for two because it's sweet. But be sure to enjoy it when it's fresh out of the oven because it doesn't keep well for later unfortunately. If you're in the neighborhood, definitely stop in here and try them out. They even offer a kiddies sandwich for $3.00 and you can add as many toppings as you like, any meat, and any cheese. I usually get this when I'm in the mood for a snack and wanna pick at something. Ordered the Three Meat Panini from this place thru GrubHub... terrible mistake. According to the menu, the three meats were ham, capicola, and pepperoni with swiss cheese. Paninis are meant to be thin and hot, but the panini came in a pita. I opened it up and it was the thin sprinkling of mini pepperoni slices, two slices of ham and God knows where the capicola was, and one slice of swiss cheese. I EFFING LOVE THIS PLACE. I live right off of Duncan and this is seriously the only place in the area that I will get a sub from. Bread, lettuce, etc is always fresh. The sandwiches (forgive me for saying this) are super meaty - puts Subway's mystery scraps to shame. Front and back of house staff are sweet and will give you suggestions if you like. Not a fan. Ordered the veggie pizza and grilled cheese panini for delivery. I did not experience fresh ingredients like the other reviews claim. All i tasted in the panini was a surplus of american cheese (i personally hate) and the pizza was small and very soggy as the veggies were just seemingly added, not actually prepped to be on a pizza. This is the best Sub shop in Jersey City and up there with any of them. It's legit. Delivery guy was cool, delivered in the snow. Portions are big but upgrade to the medium. Salad was big. We got the Italian and Tuna and both were delicious AF. Pizza was well made and very good. Looking forward to trying one of the Artisan Personal Pies. Found this place through groupon. We had 4 groupons, and used them all! And we're so glad we did! So there's two types of subs you could get. One, is the normal sub with bread, veggies & cheese which you can get at any deli. The other sub is made exactly the same way, but with Love. That's the sub you're gonna get here. I totally sound like a paid reviewer here haha but I assure you I'm not. The owners are amazing. They have such a positive vibe, vey hard to find these days. You can tell they're not there to only make money, but to make customers feel happy and content with their food offerings. I would advise that to the Yelpers below, because I don't believe that those are issues that are so unbearably unfixable, unless an establishment fucks up royally. See my review for Sloppy Joe's - that was a cause for a riot and a first time crap review. I really have to commend this place because we've ordered here before (a ton of times) and after a MINOR mishap, I messaged the business privately through yelp, and one of the owners immediately called to apologize and offered a form of compensation. Customer service (on top of the really nice girls in the store) is really commendable here. I really didn't expect to be offered to be compensated, as I only wanted to express my grievances with this ONE instance and to offer some suggestions, but it was really a nice gesture. These guys have a good thing going on. Again, their ingredients are fresh and tasty. Also, their brother business, Fatties, is REALLY good too. AFTER 3 TRIES this place missing over and over... I got to say these guys deserve a BAD one. I ordered a wrap and salad. After about an hour and a half wait with the 20% tip already included.. The stuff arrived. The wrap turned out to be a sandwich which was completely different than what I ordered. Chicken salad on a roll not the wrap I asked and paid for... Also none the toppings(I also paid for) were on the sandwich. So I think maybe there was a screw up.... And look at the salad. It's a ceasar salad made with iceburg lettuce. No croutons. And a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. No dressing.... No dressing with a ceasar salad... whats a ceasar salad w/o dressing? lettuce.... I called them they said they would re-deliver the dressing but not for another 40 minutes... Which means another hour in reality. I asked for a refund they said they would refund the sandwich through delivery.com.... Not that Delivery.com ever confirmed this via email so now I have to call... Maybe Delivery.com is retarded? Either way the only way you should order, if you do, is call directly and make sure the confirm your order back to you... AVOID. seriously. Take the hint, don't keep hoping the order will be right eventually. Last time they delivered the wrong meat on my sandwich. And before that it was the wrong bread... I am a bit of a picky sandwich eater due to growing up on blimpie but I have completely forgotten blimpie! I called before I ordered on grub hub because I wanted an honest answer as to the size of the subs since most of them are never big enough to be worth the $8.00+ they cost. The guy on the phone was so so very nice and he was telling the truth about these sandwiches. I ordered using grubhub and I had an estimation of 7:35-7:45pm. I ordered at 6:52pm or so and my phone was ringing at 7:15! The delivery guy was super nice and definitely deserved his tip unlike all the nasty delivery guys I have encountered. I ordered a large honey turkey/honey ham with provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers, and oil and vinegar. Large was not the word. They should rename it the HULK or something. I could not finish this sandwich, I tried though. This was definitely a 2 person job if not 3 person job (though I couldn't charge with that many, it's too good for that) You ever had one of those meals where you are stuffed but you keep eating because your tongue just misses it? That's what happened to me. I only was able to eat half (I'm stuffed btw) and the rest is waiting for me in the fridge. Any men reading my review listen up: ORDER SUBS FROM HERE FOR SUPERBOWL 2015. Treat your boys to this. They will thank you. I swear I will never go to subway again! I'm dead serious I mostly use Yelp to complain or read other people's complaints about restaurants but this restaurant has EARNED 5 stars. They also make great wraps and have lightning fast delivery... they even hiked up 4 floors to get it to me. This place is great! Really nice people, freshly sliced deli meats and cheeses, consistent and friendly delivery, and delicious tasting wraps and sandwiches. I generally order a turkey and pepper jack wrap. I've been to the store a couple of times and ordered delivery more time than I should. You can taste the freshness and I have seen them slice the ingredients to order when I've been there in person. I've gone there near closing time and they didn't rush and made sure I was happy with what I got. My only complaint is they often seem to be out of different things. But they actually call you to tell you this if you order delivery as opposed to most places who will just leave things out. Panini I ordered once wasn't that great and the salads are alright but nothing special. Stick to the wraps and sandwiches and you will be happy. read more
