So here shortly after the first of the year I had went there and they had posted a sign stating due to water damage from the roof they were temporarily closed. Seemed odd because we hadn't had real heavy rains that would cause that. Come to find out it was a lie being peddled because the Health department had shut them down to rodent infestation and scoring less than 60 on their health score. This doesn't surprise me seeing how dirty the eating area, tables, buffet and plates.... pretty much everywhere inside is disgusting. I cannot imagine how filthy the kitchen area must of been. And it would definitely explain how I hadn't been sick for well over a decade and I started eating there recently and shortly after I got the sickest I've ever been. Was looking for a decent buffet and this place was recommended. 3 of the food bars were dessert and maybe that should have been a clue. We tried the crab, peel and eat shrimp, head on shrimp, crawfish, crab Rangoon, sushi and hibachi. The crab was good. Enough meat to make it worthwhile. The peel and eat shrimp seemed fresh and tasty. The head on shrimp was overcooked and flavorless. The crawfish wasn't too bad. The crab Rangoon was basically cream cheese filled pastry. The hibachi wasn't too bad although not much flavor and the rice was so chopped up it was more like semolina than grains of rice. The sushi was a horror show. We were not quite sure what it all was and also flavorless. The atmosphere seemed typical buffet. Kinda stark and devoid of personality. The seats in the booths were resurfaced with strips of plastic/leather with a weak glue the wasn't holding. Some of the wood chairs looked like somebody gnawed on them. The rest rooms were clean on first glance but the wood grain floor was warped under the urinals from the moisture. The walls had stains from streaks, about 7 feet up, of liquid running down them. I love buffets. I love places that have the grill even more. This place has an enormous buffet. 6 total buffet tables. However 4 of them are taken up by deserts/salads and one is strangely enough American food. This leaves only 2 tables for actual Chinese food. Which is... well... disappointing at best. The grill itself was the best part. The ability to pick the base (rice or noodles,) vegetables, and meat is awesome. However the imitation crab shouldn't be on there and the beef itself was so tough it was unbeatable. Yet this is the best part of the meal. Then as a kicker the waitress who speaks maybe 5% English brought the check to us half way through the meal and stood there until we gave her our card. When she came back around and saw we were done with the check she literally stood over me and said "only $5 dollar huh?" Then never returned to the table. So for a Saturday afternoon lunch/dinner this place is hard to beat. The staff is very friendly and attentive throughout the course of the meal. When we arrived the obvious first choice was to load up on the fresh uncooked selections (rice, noodles, japapenos, broccoli, mushrooms*, water chestnuts, steak, chicken, etc) (* mushrooms really shouldn't be consumed by humans --- I'm pretty sure they are really bad for you in ways that should not be discussed). Then we dropped the plate off with the Hibachi chef so he could work his magic. While he was doing that we were off to fill course two plates with egg rolls, black pepper chicken, friend rice, crab angels, beef with broccoli, to name a few things. Everything was really fresh and the Hibachi was flavored really good. Make sure to save room for dessert (we kind of failed to do that), but did make a little room for ice cream. Overall price was less than $25 for two of us. Hard to eat that considering the quality and quantity of food. Plus, you never feel rushed while you are there. I came in on Christmas Day as my family always has Chinese food on Christmas. I was happy they were open but left feeling like the grinch fed me and stole my wallet. They have a lot of food to offer but I feel like oysters on the half shell on a bar is playing Russian roulette with lunch. I will say several items were pretty tasty but I guessed at what was on my plate. There are descriptions on the bar of what the food is but that doesn't help much. Overall it was ok but I feel like it was mass produced and like I was probably eating warmed over food from the previous day on some items. They have a large selection and you will probably find something you like. The staff seemed fairly irritated to be there and our waitress was indifferent. Not too bad. There is a wide selection on the buffet and more options (such as steak, shrimp, sushi, vegetables and rice) that can be prepared by a chef up front. On my plate(s), I typically get buffalo wings, bacon-wrapped shrimp, chicken on a stick, BBQ chicken, and crawfish on occasion, with small amounts of additional items such as mozzarella sticks or other items I've yet to try. I recently tried the beef cakes which were decent. I always finish my meal with a small cup of ice cream from the freezer toward the back of the buffet (vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry are the options for said dessert). Some downsides that I've experienced with this place are that it's always so hot in the restaurant, but rarely is the buffet food hot and fresh. There have been a few occasions (including this one) where all of my food was basically cold. I recommend getting something from the grill up front so it will be guaranteed fresh. The staff are decent and it's mostly clean, but the smell of cleaning materials and mop water tends to override the buffet. I can normally stand such a smell but it was a little much this time. It's kind of hit-and-miss, but the price is good for all you can get and choose from. I'll still come back from time to time. read more

I've never left a yelp review on any restaurant before because quite honestly I've never cared enough to leave one, and I have NEVER received as bad of service at any restaurant in my life that I received at this establishment. I try to understand every server, hostess, cook, etc. will have bad days because 1) That's apart of being human and 2) I've worked in the food industry myself. Me and my boyfriend got done at the gym and we were both starving when he suggested we try Super Hibachi Buffet Grill. It does look shady from the outside, but on the inside it's relatively nice. Food was okay but that's just in my opinion because everyone has their own! However, the woman giving us service was just down right rude. I will admit I'm not good with thick accents and I never have been. I slid the plates to the edge of the table to make it easier for the woman to grab and when she came over to grab them she said "Fork" once or twice and I struggled to understand what she was saying. It finally clicked and I grabbed the fork off the plate when she said VERY rudely "Are you okay? I said fork numerous times." At first I was very offended but then I also understood it wouldn't have happened if I could've understood her better. Where the story takes a turn however is when we were paying to leave she made numerous comments to my boyfriend while he was getting his money out such as "You tip me same amount as meal haha", "Don't forget to tip me" and when he was putting his money into the holder she said " Oh you're not going to tip me? Okay." when in all actuality he was going to leave the tip on the table like at any other restaurant- not to mention she was also giving me the nastiest look i've ever gotten from anyone before. If you've never worked in the food industry before probably the number one thing you don't do with a customer is ask for a tip. I know my review won't provide much help with the food side of things, but if you're looking for even mediocre service at a restaurant this place won't even give you that. read more

We went today for a party of 17 and in state of an emergency with one of our family members that some of the men in our party had to help get him to the car and we were accused of not paying our bill which we all had our receipts. To make matters worse the waitress came out the door holding tickets up saying someone still hadn't paid. First off that's harassment and we do not steal.
