    Chicken broth soup

Our first welcome was the hostess who didn't even stand to greet us and told us to sit at a table at the end of the way. Our waiter was pleasant enough and checked in on us regularly though. The restaurant is nicely lit and not too harsh on the eyes. When we looked at the menu and were looking to order we were very surprised at how expensive everything was. One of the 5 piece sushi nigiri appetizers was $15.45. I ordered a caterpillar roll and salmon roll and a chicken broth (they don't have miso soup which was very surprising to me). The broth was great; Both rolls were alright and the presentation neat. The soy sauce was given in little plastic cups and was entirely too sweet from standard soy sauce. All in all it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I wouldn't go back unless there was no other sushi place around.

This used to be a good place to dine. But not anymore. Only took 5 minutes to be seated. But 16 minutes before a waitress came to get our drink order. Then 10 minutes to get the drinks. And fyi. We weren't in a rush. But the entire dinner took forever. Arrived at 5:43 pm. Walked out at 7:39. Came to take food order but no menus. There's now a poster on the wall with the menu. Only one and it was behind us. So has to turn and look best could. Not being nick picky but this isn't some mall cafe food joint lol. Order steak and chicken combo..... sorry sir we are out of chicken. Ma'am? Yes, sorry we are out of chicken. Ummm ok. Steak and shrimp then. Wife got steak and salmon. Also Something not expected was the "yumm yumm" sauce was given in small plastic containers. A little tacky for what this restaurant represents. Overall the food was good. Average of any hibachi grill. Oh, and they were out of broccoli with their vegetables. Also it seems their prices increased, which i understand. But also the quantity decreased. I normally always have leftovers to bring home. Not this time. Haven't been here in a while, and most certainly will be a lot longer while till next time, if any. Overall I would say go elsewhere. If you must have then might be ok to go. Just do not except friendly service and maybe they will have what's listed on the menu.wanted this to be great. But was average at best. 2 combo entrees. 2 sweat teas Total $100

Looking for a pre-dinner snack (yes, I know what I said). we stopped in here and were able to get seated at the bar immediately. To be seated at a table or booth we would have had a wait of probably 30 minutes. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately there was some confusion on who was supposed to be our waiter/waitress. Several different staff members talked to us, then they figured it out. They felt very bad and considering how busy they were, no mark down on the star rating for this. We had a small bowl of soup and a salad that came with the typical ginger salad dressing. Fresh salad and the dressing wasn't done in excess like some of the places have a tendency to do. The sushi roll was spot on and was exactly what we were looking for. This was our second trip here and it was every bit as good as the first trip (except for the confusion about who would be waiting on us at the beginning). Overall great experience and we will be returning.

Food is pretty good but rather pricey. I ordered the Fried Calamari as an appetizer but it didn't have much taste to it. The breading was unseasoned and overall, not worth the price to me. I enjoyed the sushi rolls. I ordered the Spider Roll and Eel Roll. Both were very good but again, you can probably find the same quality at other nearby places for half the price.

We had Kobe for dinner tonight. We both started with the chicken soup. I had the Yaki Soba with beef. My first time trying it and it was good! The flavor of the noodles is a little sweet and the beef was tender and cooked to my liking. Benilda had chicken fried rice. And, she will have it several times tomorrow too lol! Our waiter was very helpful with suggestions and attentive. In the dining room, there were plexiglass partitions between the tables, which i liked. Enjoyable dinner and dining experience.

Kobe is in the Gadsden mall so it was perfect to swing in and try before a movie. However, I can say the experience overall was disappointing. First of all, the place is really clean and nice and up to date. You get to choose to sit at the grill or a table. Since my friends and I had a movie to make in about an hour, we chose a table so we wouldn't have to wait. My trouble came from what I ordered and the price. I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate for $14.95. It comes with soup, salad, chicken, rice, and vegetables. I don't really like the soup so the waiter offered 2 bowls of salad instead. I liked that very much even though the salad is just lettuce, carrots, and the special dressing made out of ginger. When the rest of my plate came, I thought it was not a big portion for the price I paid. The rice and vegetables were pretty good. I felt like I should have been given more vegetables. The worst part of the meal was the chicken. It was like they threw one chicken breast into a pan and lightly brushed it with teriyaki. Most Japanese places I've been to in the past drown their chicken in teriyaki. It wasn't inedible or horrible by any means, but it was just plain. I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and the server brought me a whole cup full that helped. But paying $14.95 for basically a plain chicken breast that I could have cooked at home made me feel like a chump. I don't really like seafood so if I ever do go back, I will try the beef. My friends also told me you usually get more food at the grill. Kobe wasn't a horrible place to eat by any means. It's just that I thought I should have been given a larger portion for the price I paid and that there would have been more teriyaki to my teriyaki chicken.

The food is pretty good and the show by the chef is great for kids. The hostess, however, is extremely rude!

You get two pieces of salmon and it was nice and flaky, I love that you don't have to choose between noodles and rice at Yume because they give you both! The veggies were okay. They were a bit soggy because of the way they were all steamed under a bowl for a while. I actually look forward to the slight crunch of hibachi vegetables. Our chef was also a little heavy handed with the terayaki, but overall we enjoyed the food. Atmosphere: Fun. Hibachi is always entertaining. Our chef was great with his fire tricks. Good choice for a celebration. Price: Typical for hibachi spots. $25-$45pp. 18% gratuity automatically added for groups of six or more, which is also pretty standard. Overall, I enjoyed it and will be back to try some of the sushi!

The Combo Fried Rice I order was delicious. It could have used a little more seasoning; perhaps with dark soy sauce and garlic. But as is, it is worth ordering again. The Basil Chicken, although delicious, was heavy on the brown sauce that was loaded with corn starch. It wouldn't have been a problem had the sauce been a flavor bomb, but unfortunately it was not. I ordered spice level 4, but what I received was not even close to level 4 spicy. In fact, it wasn't spicy at all. The dining room looks very comfortable and inviting. There is also a bar inside which was unattended and empty. The customer service was very good. The hostess was kind and helpful. I'll visit again when in the area.
