This place felt unsafe. Near closing, a security guard argued with a woman by the exit and then physically pushed her and her husband out the door. Moments later, he turned to me and said, "I'll snatch that chip out of your hands and I'll drag you out of here just like I did that girl." This was said directly to me, unprovoked.At that point, we gathered our stuff and left because the situation had clearly escalated beyond anything reasonable or professional. Watching guests be physically handled and then being personally threatened by security was alarming. No restaurant experience should end with customers feeling intimidated or unsafe I called the restaurant the next day to speak with a manager about the incident and was told there was no manager or supervisor available. Until management addresses both the security behavior and the lack of accountability, I would not recommend coming here. Customers shouldn't have to accept threats as a part of dining here. This restaurant moved to the Stemmons location around Jan 2024. I've tried a lot of things and found it's best to stick to the fish. The aguachile will set your rear on fire. Be warned. Oyster shooters and oysters on the half shell are great. I also l love the cóctel with all the different seafood. It's next level. Only negative is that it can get REALLY loud on Friday and Saturday nights with strange karaoke. read more

If you want authentic, this is the place to go. Their food is absolutely delicious and everyone has been friendly each time I've come. The restaurant is always clean and staff is attentive. However, occasionally I run into a language barrier issue as most staff primarily know Spanish and my Spanish is awful. Other than this I have no complaints and enjoy coming here. read more

I was really hoping for Super Mix to come through with some strong daiquiris but all we got were two bottles of juice. I ended up coming across Super Mix on Yelp and even seen they had a nice promo for Saturdays. My first impression just from pulling up was "what kind of mess is this?" It's in a very small ducked off spot where apparently "who dat daiquiris" used to be; they didn't even take the time to remove the old signing. Anyhow, we walked in and it was pretty much ghost city; however, I did see online they were having a buffet event a couple hours later. We sat at the bar & I asked a young lady about having any specials, she said no. So I showed her the flyer and she said uhm no it's buy 1, get one 50% off. I said that's not what the flyer says but okay we gone see. We sat there for a minute looking over the menu & she seemed to be in a rush and had quite an attitude as well, which was very off putting. We should've just walked out but we didn't come all that way for nothing. 10 minutes later she walked out, so we waited for the next server to help us. How ironic that they all (maybe 3-4) just looked at us & walked past us to go into a corner for some chit-chat. So I had to get up and walk over to what seemed like a made up convenient store counter inside the restaurant to order. Again, I showed her the flyer & she said yes -- there was a language barrier but we got things ordered correctly. We were excited to get to drinking & eating tacos at this point but unfortunately we just had bottles of juice with ZERO liquor to them; what a joke! I like the music but I wish it was lower in volume so you can still converse. We never received chips and salsa because the waitress said they were making them. How do you run out of chips on your busiest night? Ordered combination coctel with camarón and pulpo ($17.99), and it was good. Ordered shrimp enchiladas ($15.99) and they were okay except the 'creamy sauce' on top was way too stringy/cheesy for my taste. I ended up removing most of that, but the filling had lots of shrimp. The side of rice was good. They add a surcharge to pay with a debit/credit card. The ceviche I ordered was not good, when a ceviche is in good condition the fish has a smooth texture. I cook ceviche a LOT and as you can clearly see this ceviche was old. Not only I was disgusted by it but my friend and I were already there. I proceeded to the bathroom and it was the most disgusting thing ever. Immediately I saw a bunch of flies because of the deplorable conditions of it. Not even paper towels and soap. This was at the end of March 2021, We finished our meal and proceeded to tell the waitress it was not her fault and she had been a good host but that it was just incredible the condition of that bathroom and that the food was nasty. On the way to a skating party for our kids, my friend and I were in dire need of a margarita. We were on our way to El Fenix when we saw a place that said "WHO DAT DAIQUIRIS." We laughed but then thought, let's try it. Boy am I glad we did! Apparently, this place was a liquor store at one point. It still has the fridges of drinks and beer. It has a bar and tables to eat. They have a full food menu and a separate daiquiri menu. You can take the daiquiri to go, which I did. The waitress and bartender were absolutely fantastic. The tacos!!! OMG!!! I had to tongue, fajita and fish tacos. They were all so good that we are coming back after the party to order more. The daiquiri I purchased was the most popular: The Game. Tried this place for the first time today. Well...needless to say, I won't be returning. I ordered an octane/pina colada liter and when I opened it, it tasted like vinegar. When I called up there to complain, the girl told me they don't use liquor in their daiquiris, they only use wine. Then she went on to tell me, that the Octane is supposed to have a sour flavor and when you mix it with piña colada, it gives it a weird taste. First of all, Daiquiris should have liquor not wine in them. I also feel that they should tell people that in the beginning. Moving forward, my husband returned it for me and got me a strawberry drink and you can definitely tell it's made with wine. Lesson learned...I won't be back nor recommend them to anyone.
