    Birria tacos
    Steven C.

Tripa tacos are hard to find so when I saw they were a menu item I had to try. Tripas are my favorite taco meat so my expectations might be high but I will say these didn't hit the mark. They came out too crispy for my taste and the mountain of diced grilled onions wasn't normally what I'd expect. I did opt for fresh onion and cilantro that you can add. Topped it with their red salsa which was hoping to be spicy but tasted more like a salty Korean gochujang paste. I also tried their birria tacos because who doesn't like birria. (They had different combos to choose from like birria tacos, birria ramen, birria grilled cheese, etc.) The birria tacos were decent and came with a small consomé to dip. Was hoping the consumé had some meat inside but it seemed to be only broth. Overall this seems like a place that caters to tik tok trends and doesn't focus on authentic quality.

I visited this location for the first time to try their Birria. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I first opened the entrance door there was a cleaning product smell.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you have ever worked in a restaurant you know thats a big no, no. I recognized the smell as fabuloso product. The option for Birria was not on the menu which is fine. As I check outed their salsa bar, I noticed there was no radish. When I asked the cashier the response was "nope" with no apology or we do not serve radish. I ended up only ordering to small combos. I had high expectations for this place as I am still on the hunt for that right Birria spot.

Best birria Tacos in Carrollton! I never knew about this place till looking for a late night taco restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The birria ramen was delicious as well! The service was good, you order at the front desk and you grab your own salsa at the salsa bar.

The food is authentic and delicious! I personally love the birria tacos with the consume. They are quick with the service and the food is made fresh to order. If you're dining in, they have a salsa/topping bar to dress your meal.

Fortunately, our group of 20 had made reservations prior to our visit. After looking over the menu, we chose the "RonI One." It had pepperoni, bacon marmalade, tomato sauce and house made Mozzarella. Sounds yummy! I was also intrigued with their speciality cocktail menu. They had me at the "Limoncello Margarita." What's not to love about.Limoncello? John T, our server, took excellent care of our group. After a short wait, salad, pies, and pasta started arriving at our table. Our Roni One was a wonderful mix of sweet and spicy. What a great pie! We'll definitely have to check out one of our local Cane Rosso's in the future.

Food was excellent; drinks were excellent. We ate at the one that was in Deep Ellum (not sure if…read moreit's still there) a few years ago. I remembered the pizza was great. We ate at the Carrollton location last night because it was halfway between our house and my cousin's and his wife's house. Doubt we will purposely return to Carrollton anytime soon. I'm giving a rating of three because the food was a five and the service was a one. I actually don't write reviews very often, and I don't think I've done one in the last two years. But the guy who waited on us was rushing us out before we even got our drinks. We ordered our drinks, and he said, "it's going to take a while because the bar is backed up." (suggestion: That's not a great opening line.) "Do you want to go ahead and order your food?" (To which we said no.) He seemed put out from the get-go. Finally, I had to tell him directly, "We're not in a rush, even though you are." He's probably late 20s, dark hair, a beard, and overall a really poor performer. If he doesn't like his job, he should go do something else, though I doubt he's qualified to do much other than be on welfare. We bought four entrées, an appetizer, and two rounds of drinks. We probably would've bought more but for this really poor waiter. This is a good restaurant with very good food and a good concept. You (owner/manager) need to take much more care on the people side. It's hard to hire good talent these days but you need to do better than this. Good luck. But you need to realize there are way too many choices out there. And, if anything, this review is quite generous.

Back then, everything was a la carte. I could order one or two slices and a drink. Now, they have a combo pricing: a slice, a salad, and a drink. The salad options are House or Caesar. I chose the Caesar salad. At first glance, it seemed like a decent portion. But when I looked closer, I realized it was just a single layer of lettuce. I found it easier to scoop the leaves with the fork tines than to spike it. I would have preferred saving a few dollars and skipping the salad altogether. On the positive side, the time I spent eating the salad would have been spent drinking the fountain soda. When the pepperoni slice arrived, a generous amount of my favorite Stubborn Agave Vanilla Cream Soda was still remaining in my cup. The pizza slice was just as big as before. Unlike typical New York-style pizza, the crust was brittle and cracked when I folded it. Also, the cooking process prevented grease from seeping onto the paper lining. As a result, the slice itself was a bit dry, which is not my preferred style.

Same size offering of pizzas. Just a different taste and quality of the pizza. Had the pizza delivered I felt so bad for the delivery driver who didn't know how big the box was to fit in her car lol
