I ate here recently after looking for a food spot in the area it was the only restaurant in the strip. I went with the pastor and beef fajita tacos. It took probably about 7 minutes for them to be served me . I liked that they separated the cilantro and the chopped onions on my plate. The pastor taco was good it wasn't the robust with flavor but for the price versus taste it wasn't bad, but it was average. The meat has a nice temperature the seasoning was a modest as well. The beef fajita tacos was okay as well flavor wise. The meat was a little dry. The flavors was bland. I did add green salsa to both tacos to help enhance the flavor and alleviate the dryness of the meat. The green salsa was basic flavor wise. There's wasn't any kick to the flavor this was a mild salsa. However this spot is worth a try. I would eat here again the prices is phenomenal and the tacos aren't bad at all read more

The salsa pricing is honestly ridiculous for what you get -- it feels like a basic side that should either be complimentary or reasonably priced, not something that costs extra like it's a premium item. On top of that, the portion was small and nothing special in flavor. When you're already paying for a meal, charging that much for salsa just comes off as a cash grab. Wanted tacos after we landed to Dallas, so we stopped by this place. Small little restaurant in a plaza. We order the chips and queso and street tacos. I ended up getting asada and al pastor. Checked out the menu while i waited and knew what I wanted. Staff was friendly and asked what I wanted. I ordered a street taco plate and a taco birria plate. Got to compliment location. This place was super clean and well kept. Got my order pretty fast. Got home and feasted. Let me tell you the food was fantastic. Both plates were stuffed with meat paid about 20ish bucks but well worth it. Flavors were on point, and the corn tortillas looked homemade. This is kind of a hole in the wall place without being super tiny. The restaurant itself is a decent size! It was a bit warm in the restaurant but there's multiple doors with people coming and going so lots of that Texas heat coming in and out. There is a drive thru as well! The cash register where you order is off to the side and the rest of the place is seating for you to eat. They have some pan dulce near the register as well as drinks, tortillas, tortilla chips, and salsas + guacamole. The man who took our order was nice and helpful. As was the young lady helping him serve orders. Both were trying to stay on top of things with the rush we saw. The menu isn't huge but it has plenty of variety for everyone to find something they like. We tried the chicken, tacos de birria, and quesadilla with carne asada. The chicken was delicious! Along with the rice and beans. We asked for refried beans and they were so good! The quesadilla was good as well! It does come with onions so be warned if you're not an onion person and the carne asada was cooked with some pink left (I love it that way but others don't). The meat was tender and juicy! The tacos de birria were delicious! After seeing so many videos and reviews, this is what I've been hoping for. The cheese pull was amazing! They are cheesy and delicious. We tried this place Friday night with high hopes of some home cooked fare and were not disappointed. The staff is so friendly and attentive and willing to help those unfamiliar with traditional Mexican menu and flavors. This might have a fast food feel, and they do have a drive up window for extra convenience, but it isn't a ponchos (IYKYK). Sit down or take out grill and bakery was a hit with my family. We had the Caldo de Pollo. (Best I have ever had), Carne Asada quesadilla, and the #1 House Special Carne Asada. The meat was freshly grilled and even had the crispy "burnt edges" we Texans love. The plated meat was tender and juicy with sides of beans and rice like your grandmother wishes she could make. Drinks are bottled and they have several items for grab and go. We took home guacamole and chips for a late night snack and found to our surprise the best in town, (and we eat Mexican food a lot). Topped off with a couple of empanadas for coffee the next morning and we were completely in awe of Catrinas. They have tables and booth for eating in and you might even get a personal visit with Luis the owner who is gracious and happy to make sure you don't wait in line at the register twice. This is by far one of the best Mexican food places I've tried in the metroplex! I found out about Catrina Grill from TikTok and as soon as I saw the video, I knew we had to go. The staff makes you feel like you're part of the family and this is one of the few places that I've gone that has accomplished that feeling. We ordered the chicken flautas and the chicken quesadillas and let me tell you....these are the best flautas I've ever had. They're my favorite so I've ordered them at every place I can and these are top notch. The guacamole is also to die for. The tortillas are made fresh everyday and you can tell the difference it makes eating food that fresh. The vibe of the restaurant just makes you feel like you're eating a meal with family, and I adore that. TIK TOK brought me here. Some of the best chicken I've had in my LIFE. The tortillas are definitely fresh and homemade. 2 different salsas are given with your food. The red has texture and crunch. If you are still reading go thru the drive thru or walk up but be careful going through the drive thru it's an accident waiting to happen! It's in the middle of a parking lot, next to a through street, and a main driving entrance to the strip mall from a neighborhood and the hwy! The service was okay at best, the two young women who helped us weren't exactly friendly, rushed us, and weren't the most welcoming when we walked in to an empty restaurant. Exposed wires, tiles on the ceiling were water leak stained, old equipment laying around, dirty floors, dirty food stained/ dusty walls, women's bathroom smelled so bad like sewage I'm sure there's a toilet with a leak in the caulking. Herbalife stand in the corner of the place, playground in the restaurant, coke/ drink machine doesn't work, the "salsa bar" is no longer a salsa bar it's for breads. Their famous chicken is soooooooo amazing and to die for, season to taste. Their concha's are some of the best I had in Dallas. A+ on the costumer service side, everyone was so nice and kind, fast service and all. This place just feels like home, so cozy and warming.
