They are always helpful and honest with me. I've been taking my car since 2005. I had a brake and a low tire pressure lights issues, so brought it in about a week ago. The issues were caused by a major accident by a previous owner, which I didn't know that much about. The Subaru repair explained to me throughly and eased my mind. I ended up leaving my car there over night, but they let me use their rent-a-car ($15 per day) which they waved the fee at the end. My car drives so much better and feels like a brand new!! They gave me an accurate quote which was followed to the "T", called me 3 different times during the day to report on specific issues I had requested them to investigate, and recommended fixes appropriate to the condition of the car and my driving style. These guys dont know how to diagnose a bad rack and pinion steering gear even with their best mechanic put on it even after all the other possibilities were clearly no longer in question . I had asked them to check the steering linkages all the way from the steering column out to the wheels ,and that was after all the other parts that could be suspect were replaced . and they said that all they could think of was to center the rack , which I know was a little off center . So they centered it and it still wandered . they over charged me to the tune of 328 dollars . So a year later I decided I would just replace it myself , problem fixed . These guys are mostly trying to impress to make money . They don't care about you and will only take your money . They did work that was un-necessary . read more

Hands down the best shop I've ever dealt with. I was fairly certain I was going to be paying thousands of dollars for the work I needed done, and the estimate from Super Rupair seemed accurate. After they inspected it, they found much more minor repair was needed, and very quickly completed several tasks and came in far under what I expected to pay. A Great Disservice. When we purchased our first Subaru, a 2010 Forester, we were recommended to Super Rupair for a full service inspection. They did some minor adjustments and told us the car was in very good shape - except that the coolant was NOT genuine Subaru blue. That's it! They did NOT inform us that a deviant from Subaru coolant would harm the car. They did NOT warn us that it would cause $2,000 dollars worth of replacement of radiator, water pump, etc. Why do you go to a trusted repair mechanic? Because they are suppose to take responsibility to recommend service. They did NOT! Therefore, we can not trust them nor recommend them. read more

I brought my Outback in to have a ball joint replaced. I was offered a free 30 point inspection on my car. Great, I thought, they'll tell me everything that's wrong with my car that I'm not already aware of. Well, I got my car back after a prompt 1.5 hours and they indicated to me that my timing belt cover was broken. I had recently done my timing belt and I knew the cover wasn't broken before I brought it in for service. So I brought it up with the manager, Kirby, and he insisted that I broke it though it was obviously a fresh break. He showed me on their security footage that the mechanic had pried open the timing cover, which "they always do", though these plastic pieces are not designed to be opened that way. He outright called me a liar several times, called my car a "shitbox," and got generally unprofessional with me. I've had 7 Subaru's over the years and have had very good luck with service. I've recently moved to Boulder and took my car to Super Rupair for the first time for an estimate on repairs. They gave me a list of 10 things with a total of $1000. Turns out that not one of those things was actually the cause of my problems. To make matters worse, when I picked up my car they had forgotten to put it all back together. Had to go back again to have them put all the parts back on. DO NOT GO! If I could give this place zero stars I would! I brought my Subaru in to this place for some work. When I took it to a different place just to get my oil changed a month later I was told there was transmission and gear oil all over the place... And the fluids had been filled sooo much that the whole transmission was overflowing! I was told to take it back to them so they could fix their problem. When I got there they were so rude to me, but gave me a rental car to use so they could check it out and get me out of their hair. That day they gave me a diagnostic on the car and told me that I needed to repair it for 1200 dollars... I took it to two different places after that and was told there was nothing wrong and that I was lied to... I was also told that them filled my fluids like that could have ruined my car !! These guys a shady and will try to rob you. This is the first review I've ever written in my life because I work in the service industry and hate the people who leave bad reviews but I just don't want anyone else to be SCAMMED!!!! read more

I've been to several garages in Boulder, with various results. Super Rupair stands out because they've worked on thousands of Subaru Outbacks. When I said that my car was having weird electrical problems and the tailgate wire bundle was breaking, the service rep said "$680" without looking it up. The tailgate wire bundle breaks on all 3rd-generation Outbacks and replacing it fixed all the electrical problems. Then they did a 30-point check and found that the Chinese left front axle that another garage had installed three years ago was binding. That garage had had to try two axles, because the first was worse than the original, worn out axle. Super Rupair said that they never use the Chinese axles because of these problems. They use only Subaru axles, but to save us money they get used axles and rebuild them. This is an example of experience from working on thousands of Subarus. The other garage tried to save money with Chinese axles but it ended up costing me more. read more

My Impreza was just due for it's 30,000 mile service, which was nearly $500 at the dealership. I called several places around Boulder and was quoted $420 by Super Rupair. I ended up paying $245 for the service because they didn't replace or fix things that didn't need to be replaced. Great experience overall and they were open and honest with me. As long as their prices are competitive, I'll be taking my Suby back. read more

I've had positive experiences with Super Rupair in the past, but my most recent experience was not good. I made an appointment online to take my car in for an oil change and 30 point inspection and to try to diagnose a couple of problems my car was having. I arrived at 9:45am for my 10:00am appointment. The guy who checked me in said my car should be done by the afternoon if not earlier. It ended up being 7 hours before my car was ready, which was something I was not prepared for especially since I made an appointment. I walked around for a while and came back around 12:30pm and saw my car had been moved, so I figured they had already finished but hadn't yet called me. I waited until about 2:00pm and asked if my car was done and the guy said they still needed to pull it in and do the 30 point inspection and that they would do that in a minute. An HOUR later, they finally pulled my car in and began the inspection. While the services they did seemed fine, I would have really appreciated them being honest about how long they were going to take before actually looking at my car. I feel like I shouldn't have even bothered making an appointment. read more

I took my outback in to have the A/C looked at and the work seemed a little sloppy. They left a tool under the hood, didn't reassemble an A/C valve, and didn't leave the keys in the car ( I went to pick it up after they were closed). read more

Kept promises and keeps the car running. It's not their fault this Outback seems to be having a string of problems. It is 10 years old with 150,000 miles but engine lights, misfiring, losing coolant, and on and on. Each time we bring it in, they return it to good running condition. Took my Outback in to have window motor replaced. The folks at Super Rupair were easy to work with and found me used parts which resulted in me getting a much better deal than I was quoted anywhere else (by about $100). They also alerted me to a serious problem with my radiator hose, potentially saving me a hefty repair bill in the future. Mike in the service department was especially pleasant, and patiently explained all the issues they found and really left a good impression. I was really happy with their shuttle service, as both my drivers were safe, courteous, and made the experience as enjoyable as possible. I wont go to Suber rupair any more. I am a woman and went by myself and I feel that I was lied to. I recently went in for a tune up. They waited until 5PM to call me and said they couldn't do the tune up because I had head gaskets leaking in my engine. They showed me the underside of the car. It looked like they sprayed it with oil and antifreeze. And told me it would cost $1,750.00 to repair. I told them I did not want to fix it and took my car home the next day. I have had it looked at by other mechanics including my neighbor who I totally trust. We cleaned off the inside of the hood top and bottom. It has been over a month and nothing is leaking at all. Everyone who has looked at it since Super Rupair has told me that my head gaskets are just fine. Guy's name was Trent. read more

LET THE BUYER BEWARE I just took my recently purchased used Outback to Super Rupair in Boulder to have several things looked over, including a smell coming from the engine. When my service advisor, Aaron B., called back that afternoon, he informed me that my head gasket needed replacing -- a repair of $2000 that would take 2 days. I was devastaed. My husband immediately took the car to the place in town where he gets great and fair service and, lo and behold, the head gasket was in perfect shape! The problem was just an improperly secured oil filter that was dripping -- a simple fix that I don't think we were even charged for! This incident really disturbed me because 1) I feel I was preyed upon as a woman who doesn't know much about cars and 2) there is no difference in creating fictitious repairs and stealing. I don't know how said service advisor can sleep at night with this type of deceit. Several days later and I am still bummed and tyring to understand how someone could so comfortably do that kind of wrong. It just makes me really sad. read more

I had been looking for a specific hard to find Subaru Outback part for the last couple months. I had walked junk yards and called every Subaru place in the Denver area. No one had it. I searched the internet and found Super Rupair in Boulder. A little sceptical since they are about an hour from me, but I called up Doug at Super Rupair and asked if he had the part. What do you know...he had it. I gave him some information that may have been misleading however. He got the part to me in less than 24 hours and very reasonable shipping. I made a mistake however and the part wound't fit. I called him up and let him know that I would need to exchange this part and get the right one, if he had it. He told me he would search for it and let me know. 24 hours later, the right part showed up at my house. Doug did not charge me for the new part or for shipping. He went above and beyond for me and has never met me face to face. To him, it is probably just doing his job. To me, it's something you don't find these days anymore. I have not yet used their services for repair as as I do most of my own maintanence/repairs. I will always own a Subaru, and if I ever need a major repair, I will find a way to get my vehicle up to them in Boulder. read more

I had the worst car repair experience with them. I spent $3500 to replace engine, air conditioning system. They pushed out completion date so many times it took them 2 weeks to finish the job. The next day I picked up my car, it got overheated and they were trying to charge me another $350 for new radiator which they should have fixed at the first time. After some negotiation, they agreed to do no charge. I picked up my car again on Thursday and my air conditioning stopped working on Sunday in the same week. They wanted $350 more to fix the air conditioning claiming that it has nothing to do with their work and it was just a coincidence that it got broke down. They lost paperwork, loaned me the car that turned out to be a car with some issue asked me to return right after I loaned....I strongly recommend people not to go there. I was expecting a good service reading all the reviews. I ended up talking to my co-worker who also experienced bad services, issues with them when he noticed I was driving loaner car from them for two weeks. read more
