He juggled multiple customers, and was so thorough and calm while applying the tests and then calmly speaking and explaining what had to happen next, to my Mom's car. He was able to quote prices for repair and even referred us to Zach, at Brakes Plus, to fix the car (which we did). Unbelievable!! Jeff was even coaching another employee, while managing everything that was going on and needing to be done, with such class and ease. I see somebody had a bad experience with Edgar at this business, from a review above. Funny thing is my mom had a terrible experience at Christian brothers, before we came to Auto Zone, and the mechanic there was named Edgar!! I bet it was the same fool. We were in need of a particular bulb for a particular older vehicle and a friend had recommended this chain of autocrat stores and this was the most convenient location for us. I am not sure if it the one the neighbor uses but that does not really matter, it was close this time. The manager was training wha appeared to be a brand new employee, step by step on how to use the computer listing, find it in the store etc, while also attending his other duties. It took quite a while to get the entire process finished, more than what we had expected to be a very quick stop. But in the end we left with the correct part, at a good price and even under these circumstances it saved us far more time than having had to take it to local place we often have used in the east event for simple procedures. It had been a while since we used the do it yourself method and still glad we didi. We would go back here again if we had a similar purchase to make and repair to do for ourselves. We appreciate that with a trained employee available it would have lived up to our expectations. But everyone has to learn at some point and these days, already trained new employees are few and far between waiting for employment.

I did get the sense that they value putting a customer into the right car and will take the time to try and do so. I saw other Yelp reviews for Flatirons Imports under its other name Flatirons Subaru, and I'm not the only person who spent a lot of time with a salesperson test driving models and did not end up buying that time around. I think for the patience of the salespeople here, they may not always make a sale that day or that time, but they are earning long term customers who will come back next time and buy. I came in with legitimate concerns about my vehicle and left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and talked down to. I have been going to this dealership for 5 years and will never return after this experience. A small fingertip-sized windshield chip expanded into a crack the size of my hand during the 4 hours my vehicle was in the shop. When I brought this up, Ryan responded, "Do you think we're just going around smashing people's windshields?" Instead of taking responsibility or having a professional conversation, I was told chips expand eventually and that it may have been from sitting in the sun. This windshield had survived years of weather and hail storms without this happening. I also came in specifically to discuss a previous AC recommendation. I was told my vehicle's age and a slightly low AC charge justified an $850 reseal and recharge. I was later told that 2-3 O-rings were leaking and that all 8 needed to be replaced, but no one could explain which O-rings were actually failing or answer my questions. An independent shop completely disagreed with these findings. The way I was treated was the most unacceptable part. I was repeatedly spoken to in a condescending manner, including being asked, "What should I do about it, Ella? What should I do?" and being told, "Well, you didn't pay for any of this." My concerns were dismissed instead of addressed, and I was made to feel like I was unreasonable for asking basic questions about my own vehicle. I also raised concerns about a recommended $1,250 oil-related service. The inspection video only described the area as "sweating," not an active leak, and I had an oil change just two weeks prior where no lower oil pan leak was identified. When I asked about the discrepancy between their findings and those of an independent shop with extensive experience, I was not given a clear technical explanation. Instead, I was met with dismissive responses, including comments questioning whether I was implying the Subaru technician was "wrong or making something up." After this experience, I will not be returning to this dealership. The way I was treated has completely destroyed my trust in this service department, and I cannot recommend this dealership or Subaru to my friends and family based on this experience.

Took my car in here a few months ago because it went into limp mode on the freeway. They took one…read morelook at it and told me it was going to need an engine because it was knocking, then offered to buy it off me for about $1,500. I couldn't hear the knock but I was going to believe them, just figured they knew what they were doing and they're a reputable shop. I was about to sell it to a junkyard today and again I couldn't hear the knock so I figured id get a second opinion from another shop in boulder. (I know this should have been the first thing I did lol) Turns out the engine was completely fine, it needed a new accelerator pedal sensor and that was throwing the car into limp mode. I had already bought a new car and I just fixed my old one for about $100 and ten minutes of work; because I trusted them and didn't get a second opinion I'm stuck with two functional cars! I have a hard time believing they purposely misdiagnosed the problem to try and buy the car off me for significantly less than it was worth, but who knows. I'm really just confused by the whole thing, I thought I was going crazy trying to hear a knock in a perfectly healthy engine. The one thing I do know is that I wouldn't recommend this shop. Could have been an honest mistake, or there could have been some malicious intent, who knows. Regardless of the reason it happened they f***ed up and the whole thing has been a massive, unnecessary inconvenience.
