Positives: Her saree draping was amazing and looked very nice. Negatives: Unfortunately, I have to agree with previous reviewers with regards to the experience working with her being disappointing and unprofessional. 1. She's disorganized and absent-minded. She didn't come prepared with ironing board until we specifically requested her to. This resulted in her ironing my sarees on my makeup artist's expensive furniture when she came over for the pre-wedding shoot. On the day of my wedding, I wore are red saree in the morning. I told her the specific time to have my white saree ironed and ready to be draped as the pujari runs a tight schedule. She was wandering around and seems to have forgotten to do so. When the time came for my second draping, she was nowhere to be found. Fortunately some of family friends began draping me before she was flagged down. She then rushed and proceeded to drape an un-ironed saree on me (except with ironing via straightening iron) and fortunately I was able to be back on the mandap on time. She had another bride after me and was supposed to iron and set aside my third saree for another auntie to drape, but she left without doing so. At that point I was too tired to even bother, so just stuck to wearing the 2 sarees for my event. 2. I had paid her a deposit when I agreed to work with her as she requested. However, a few weeks before my wedding, right before my bridal shoot she suddenly contacted me saying she needed the remainder of the money ASAP and upfront with some personal excuse. I was surprised by this, as every other vendor took the remainder of the deposit the day of. She told me that if she was unable to arrive and drape me on my wedding day, her assistant would be there. I found this behavior to be extremely unprofessional, since it was *her* I hired and not her assistant. i refused to pay upfront as to guarantee her being there, and this created a lot of undue stress for me. 3. Her money model is not great, she will give you a fixed price for 1-6 sarees, regardless of whether you need one saree draped or six. It's bizarre. 4. If there are any alterations you need to make to your "contract" after talking to her, i.e time of arrival and time of departure, she will nickel and dime you worse than any other vendor I've ever worked with. read more

Vijaya is AMAZING, and I can't imagine making it through my FIVE saree changes during my wedding without her. Vijaya was the first "vendor" that I booked during my wedding planning. I knew I would have to feel absolutely comfortable in my sarees to have a great time at my wedding, and for that I needed a draping artist that was the best in the game. I am so lucky I found Vijaya! We hired Vijaya from Super Sarre draping for our 3 day event in Napa Valley. We got in touch 6 months before and Vijaya helped us with suggestions on sarre materials and tips for blouse and inskirts. From the beginning she responded quickly and was always on time, or should I say before time always. She was also available for zoom calls from India at not so convenient hours. They draped around 28 dupatta, sarees in 3 days across 5 different events. Her work is beautiful and perfect. Attention is paid to every detail and she is very flexible and her draping style is customizable. It was a fusion wedding and most of them were wearing sarre for the first time and Vijaya and her assistant made them feel very comfortable. Vijaya was very easy to work with and coordinated well with our planners and make-up artists. They will help you with sarre draping/dupatta pinning from the scratch and also help with the jewellery setting. Vijaya was constantly running across multiple rooms as some of the guests were senior citizens or pregnant ladies with other babies. On the last day our venue was on a different property. Vijaya found the place quickly and was knocking at our doors in the wee hours of the morning...before her estimated arrival time. Her idea to use the hair straightener on the sarre pleats is very innovative! They will iron your sarees upon request and that really made a huge difference. We did not know that they have their own pins and hence we had ordered pins from Amazon..but Vijaya had her own kit ready and pins of all sizes were kept in proper order. And the best part was that we had some wait times between our events, but Vijaya was very patient in dealing with it. With our own very little knowledge about sarrees ...Our experience with Super Sarre was very pleasant and professional. Five stars and DEFINITELY recommended for your wedding! I want to believe I caught Vijaya on an exceptionally bad day given all the other reviews are so positive, but she truly was the reason I had an extremely chaotic and stressful wedding morning and I would absolutely not recommend her to any other bride. Not only did she arrive to the wrong location and therefore started late, she immediately complained about being hungry despite me telling her weeks in advance that food would be available starting at 5 AM, a full hour before she even had to start. Once she ate (further delaying well past 6am start) she didn't know how to operate the steamer, she spilled water all over the grooms dupatta, she incorrectly pinned my mom's dupatta backwards, did a sloppy job on my bridal veil (had to be redone by an aunt later), and draped my bridesmaids sarees so tight they couldn't comfortably eat lunch or sit during the ceremony. It was atrocious end to end and my biggest regret about the ceremony was hiring Vijaya. Yes doing so was a complete waste of money but the worst part was her attitude and energy in the bridal suite.
