I came in to this store and I was not only showed multiple options, but I was even taught different ways to drape and wear the dress. Varsha spent probably an hour helping me find the perfect sizes. The store was somewhat busy on a Sunday morning, as there were other groups shopping and getting help from the staff. There seems to be a good variety in terms of lehengas. They had a lot of mix and match outfits. You pick out colors and they'll bring out options they think will make for a cohesive outfit (top, skirt, and scarf). I think this is good if you have a pretty specific vision for colors and styles, but we were just starting our search and would have liked a bit more guidance on styling and pricing. I think part of that was that it was like two staff members helping at least 2 other groups. Service was otherwise nice, and they did answer our questions when we had some. They also did not pressure us to buy anything, which we've experienced at other Indian clothing stores. The pricing for a lehenga set that includes top, skirt, and scarf is probably in the ~$150+ range, as you would be mixing and matching. I think in retrospect, after shopping at other stores, although mixing and matching can be nice, I personally preferred already matched sets since they seem more cohesive. We were also looking for kurtas and sherwanis. The staff kind of just showed us where they were located in the store. I remembered seeing prices approximately $300-$500 range for sherwanis. The nice part was that they gave us a sense for sizing, so that was helpful. It seems they have a lot of other outfits, jewelry, shoes, celebration items that we didn't look too much into. After shopping at a few other stores, I am actually not sure if they offer tailoring here, since they tended to pick out lehenga tops for my specific size, and not necessarily other sizes with styles. Might be worth asking if they do have tailoring. I am also not sure if a factor is that it would narrow the styles I would try on. I can imagine that it would be labor intensive and time consuming to take out a bunch of different sizes and styles, and then having to put them back. I didn't realize how intensive the process of buying/selling lehengas was before shopping here! The store is somewhat organized and it does have two fitting rooms for you to use. I can see how it can be hard to try things on if the store gets busier. The downside of trying things on here is that lighting isn't the best. Overall, I think this was a nice store to shop for Indian clothing!

On the day of my appointment, the mother-daughter duo helped me fully customize my lehenga and choli based on other things I liked from their website and additional inspo from the webs. I was able to pick and choose fabrics, embroidery types, straps and even the level of fluff under the lehenga. From there, desi aunties took my exact body measurements, asked questions about how Id style the outfit and what level of modesty or immodesty I hoped to have LOL Im very big-chested so it was lovely that they could customize my top for support and coverage.When I came to pick it up, about three months later, I was OVERJOYED. It is literally exactly what I wanted and fits like a glove. I also purchased my haldi and mehendi outfits here, one of which had to be taken out and a stain removed. They did it no problem and offered a discount, too. Every time I am in here, they greet me by name and are incredibly friendly. The selection is insane!! The only reason this is a four instead of five is because I do feel the price point is high for some of the off the shelf items but for custom, I felt the $850 I paid was reasonable especially when a lot of "american" wedding dresses are $1k+ in addition to alterations.

You'll pay over $3000 for plastic sequins all over. Beaded embroidery fine, but just plastic sequins? The bigger issue was the jewelry set. It honestly looked cheap, with uneven coloring and a painted metal appearance. We came back hoping to exchange it, the younger manager immediately became defensive and said they don't "force" anyone to buy anything. No one said my sister was forced, the point was that this set never should have been recommended to her in the first place, especially at that price point. She felt pressured and ultimately regretted the purchase. My sister went back and I met her there to help her with the tough conversation. Any clarification questions I asked were dodged, and both managers spoke to me in a very dismissive and condescending way, even though I remained respectful the entire time. I think they got used to my sister saying yes to everything, then were unhappy to have someone question them. They then showed us another jewelry piece we actually liked, but it was almost $400 more on top of the $750 already spent. When I asked what made it higher quality or more expensive, the older manager straight up said "there was nothing different about the material or jewels" and that they were simply charging more because they paid more for it. That response alone said everything. To make matters worse, the bridal dress was packed tightly into a small bag. When we opened it, it smelled strongly of chemicals and glue. (Um....it was supposed to be hand stitched....so why glue smell?) When I asked about it, they casually told us to "just steam it...? like you do regular clothes...?" For a bridal gown costing thousands of dollars, the presentation and preparation were shockingly poor. I've purchased bridal dresses elsewhere that arrived properly hung, covered, and ready to wear. What's most disappointing is that I've recommended this place to many people over the years and have personally shopped here multiple times. After this experience, definitely won't be recommending anymore. The customer service, pricing, and quality simply do not match what they advertise. Go elsewhere, even worth traveling to LA to see their bridal offerings in Artesia versus defaulting to local shops in Berkeley/SF.

She pulled a bunch of different styles to help me find the right size, and once we landed on one that worked, she tailored it to my exact measurements. I wasn't in San Francisco for long, so she knocked it out in just three hours hemming it, adding extra embroidery, and making sure the fit was just right. The dress came out beautiful, and the materials felt really high quality, not flimsy or cheap at all. While I explored Chinatown and grabbed dinner, she worked on the dress and even kept the shop open late so I could try it on one last time. Expect to spend around $290-$350, depending on how much embroidery you want. For something custom, fast, and well-made, it's totally worth it. Highly recommend!
