Super scoops is a super sweet little ice cream shop in Treasure Island that took a scoop of my heart! First of all, I know they had a complete revamp of the building, the colors and murals and aesthetic and it WORKS. It is so adorable and caught my eye just driving past on the road before ever deciding to stop by. It's a very small shop so you really can't fit more than 5-6 people inside comfortably, but it's worth it. I tried a sorbet flavor- usually I don't go for sorbets but something fruity and refreshing sounded good and this couldn't have been a better choice. Surely one of the best sorbets I have ever tried! It was all about the texture- rather than the typical icy texture of most sorbets, this one was sticker, packed with tart watermelon flavor and it was fantastic. We tried to come back the next night just to have the sorbet again but it was so busy we wouldn't waited 30+ minutes, and though it would be worth it we had other stuff we wanted to get to. But this is such a great little lace across the road from the beach! There's a good amount of outdoor seating around back and in the front- it's cute, sweet, fun and tasty!

We found super scoops on Yelp with a simple search and decided to check it out due to how good the reviews were! I had the brownie sundae and it was delicious the warm brownie at the bottom of the cup and two scoops of my choice of ice cream. My wife had the raspberry sorbet and she loved it. The service was great and the ambience was inviting. We will definitely come back and eat more ice cream in the future!

This place is just pure fun. Zoltar greets you along with Lady Liberty gleefully hoisting a cone out front. The new tables and umbrellas for shade are colorful and have that old school Italian riviera and/or maybe 50s soda shop vibe. The new branding (mural, signage, etc) overall is an upgrade to what was already a super fun little spot. Lots of parking makes it a breeze to stop in for a quick treat. Tables were clean and napkins were ample. The array of flavors is great and the ice cream quality is equal to the price tag and the rest of the thoughtfully curated experience. Inside their staff has always been friendly and they stock everything you might need to induce a sugar high and/or instant cavities for the whole family, and I mean that in a good way. Their candy selection is a dentist's nightmare but the colorful nostalgia is worth it.

This Treasure Island treat was recently sold to new owners. James and friends gave the place a shiny update with new outdoor seating, a colorful mural, new candy and soda displays, but kept the charm and delicious ice cream the locals know and love. Great friendly place!!! The ice cream was excellent and a great sitting area outside. The 2 guys working were super nice and let our dog come in and gave her a pup cup which she loved! An unexpected surprise. The Cookie Monster ice cream was a hit as well as Gator tracks! Will definitely return.

The family working here was too cute- I love supporting any mom and pop place. The ice cream was delicious and so unique. We got the brownie sundae and oh my goodness every bite was so delicious. This place is fantastic! I got double fudge chocolate brownie with actual pieces of brownie in it! They baked it right there! My boyfriend got chocolate chip cookie dough that was out of this world! Not only is this ice cream delicious but the wonderful woman working behind the counter was just about the nicest person I have ever met! So bummed we live in NY & can't frequent this, but next time we are in Florida we will visit again! This place is a gem! read more

I have 1 complaint... I ate too much! The owners were so friendly, the Banana split was D E L I C I O U S and huge! So if you are going to go here (and you should) either eat a small meal before you go (or no meal) or order something smaller than the banana split...I'm sure anything there would be great. May I just add how cool it is that they have a vintage candy shop. I saw candy there that I hadn't seen since I was a child ( and that was a long time ago ) read more

O M G ! When I come in to town to visit my friend, we go there and spend $50 because a!ll of the flavors and cookies are so good. Get all your old favorite candy bars, too. The staff is family owned and make all ice cream themselves. Been there over 20 years! Don't trust your ice cream cravings to anyone else on the beach. read more

Had the double chocolate fudge - good chunks of brownies, and delicious chocolatey taste. My brother used to have a premium ice cream business and I love high quality dark chocolate - so I'm a bit of an ice-cream and chocolate snob. Hubby had the salted caramel - he said "it's wonderful" and that he finds the flavors to be distinct. Owner encouraged us to get a frequency card - said it doesn't expire. Happy licking. read more

Great selection of ice cream and friendly people. We went on a saturday night and it was packed, yet they kept the line moving very quickly. This place is much better than the shake shop up the street in pretty much every way. Except for maybe the fact that you can't easily take your ice cream out to the beach to enjoy it. Son had banana split..you can choose each flavor...wife had toasted coconut w/ chocolate, daughter had cookie dough, and I had rum raisin. We were all full and happy! Just ate a phenomenal ice cream cone here with my family. Got the Dumbo Dough and Captain's Butterscotch scoops on a waffle cone and oh man was it delicious! We stopped in here twice on our vacation. The working cow ice cream was so rich and creamy. It was packed and with a group of 5 adults and 2 kids plus the other patrons it was a bit crowded and rushed. If you want your scoops laid in a particular order (as in mint chocolate chip under the peanut butter cookie dough) I'd recommend letting them know, it was my mistake. But it happened to others on our group. The homemade waffle cones and cups were tasty and apparently not the norm in this area. read more

Thanks to one of Yelp's daily emails, my fiance and I decided to check out the best yelp-rated ice cream in South Pinellas County. We were not disappointed. The owner was lovely, very welcoming. All of the flavors looked delicious, but as we chatted with the owner, she directed us toward their best seller- the salted caramel. I was skeptical of this decade's trendiest flavor profile...but oh was I surprised! So good! We loved it and we'll be back. Best ice cream I've had in Florida since moving here a year ago! read more

Went here for the first time last week on vacation because Trip Advisor told me it was voted one of the #1 ice cream places in the area. It did not disappoint! We were greeted warmly and asked if we wanted to sample any of the flavors. I got a waffle bowl with salted caramel ice cream, chocolate fudge brownie, hot fudge and whipped cream. My boyfriend got a brownie sundae with caramel and black cherry. Both were amazing! Would highly recommend and hope to go back soon! read more

Went here tonight for our daily dose of ice cream and it was fabulous! I got the gator tracks and baby dumbo something another (it was a long name) and my husband got the salted caramel and vanilla. It was actually amazing and we have been surprised with the quality of ice cream here. It wasn't overly sweet and you could tell it is homemade. The waffle cone though almost stole the show and are also made in shop which I enjoy. But also the staff was really nice and we enjoyed talking and getting to know them. We specialize in selling the best products we can find. We serve Working Cow Ice Cream, which is a premium ice cream. We also sell Frozen Custard and Soft Serve as well as delicious Italian Ice, made by a company that's been in business for over 100 years. We make our own Hot Fudge, for our Sundaes, and Brownies from Ghirardelli Chocolate, and make fresh waffle cones daily. We bake and sell Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies. We also have a nice assortment of Nostalgia Candy to satisfy your sweet tooth. We are a family owned and operated business, and we treat our customers like they're part of the family. History

Established in 2009.

My husband and I moved to Florida from Connecticut 16 years ago and at that time we wanted to open an ice cream shop. We looked at a couple of shops that were for sale, but there was no parking, so we put that dream on hold and started another business. One day when my husband was on his way home, he saw the building that we are in for rent. It was an old Enterprise Rental building with loads of easy in easy out parking. He checked out the building and called to tell me that he thought we were going to be in the ice cream business. It took us three months to go through the change of use to make it into a food service building. During that time, we tasted every homemade ice cream out there to try to find the very best. We found a lot that were very good and a lot less expensive, but we always went back to Working Cow Homemade Ice Cream. They offer about 130 flavors with new ones coming out on a regular basis, and they're only about 15 minutes away.

My husband and I moved to sunny Florida from Connecticut 16 years ago and wanted to open an ice cream shop, We looked at a couple that were for sale and didn't take them because they didn't have any parking. It was a wise decision because they both went out of business. Several years later, my husband was coming home one day and saw the building we're in for rent. It was the old Enterprise Car Rental building with loads of parking. My husband made an appointment to see the building, and the rest is history. In the three months that it took to get permits and change the use of the building, we went out and tasted every homemade ice cream offered in the area. We always went back to Working Cow. It cost us a lot more than any of the others, but we felt that it was well worth the money. We decided that with so many ice cream shops in the area, we had to set ourselves apart from the rest by making our own hot fudge, brownies, and waffle cones, and give great service.

The fabulous ladies here put together a gift basket under $100. My friend loved it. I even picked up some herbs for myself. I will be back for the oils next time! Orders perfectly taken, he was polite yet had some fun and laughs with us, and was very patient when a couple people in our group were "picky" eaters. While he had several tables he was serving he was always right there if he noticed our waters or drinks being close to empty. Food will make people talk, but food and service will bring people back. The food was top notch and the service was some of the best in town. I'd go with something else. My girlfriend got the Lobster Alfredo and it was not good. The pasta was super doughy and overcooked. The Alfredo sauce itself didn't have a lot flavor either. The whole thing was just not good and once again not worth the price. Our niece got butter noodles and they were the same way. Overcooked and tasted like they'd been sitting in water or something. She didn't eat it. I would skip the pasta entrees. The other item we were disappointed with was the Crab Rangoon dip. It had a fishy tang to it that we weren't a fan of. Someone in our group got the tacos for taco Tuesday and said they were good. Chicken tenders were also yummy. Overall, we had an okay experience. If we came back, we'd go with different items on the menu for sure.

Within 4 days of visiting St. Pete, my husband and I went to Super Scoops twice - the ice cream is that good. The owners are absolutely so nice ...it's like having your favorite grandparents dishing out ice cream for their favorite grandkids. The portions are huge, the flavors are delicious and the whole environment is unpretentious and welcoming. read more

Very friendly folks! Went there three days in a row. Had we found it earlier in our vacation, we definitely would have gone more. Cookies are always fresh out of the oven and are amazing in the bottom of the ice cream bowls! Very reasonably priced too. read more
