The staff here is super friendly and helpful; however, the quality of the carwash itself leaves something to be desired. I normally have to run through 2-3 times through the wash to have any semi decent result before pulling over to the vacuum stations to finish up. The "Value" seems to be fair as long as you get 2 car washes per month it pays for your membership. I have had the following issues. I signed up for the carwash for my vehicle, at the time the "deal" was that you would get 1 free car wash code every 90 days to give to a friend etc. I never received a single code, the staff at the carwash is unable to assist, emailing Super Star directly (there is no phone number) took 2 weeks to get back to me to say, "sorry promotions can change at any time". I understand that promotions can, and do change BUT, shouldn't you be either subscribed to the promotion that you signed up for? My wife has a subscription for her vehicle, and she was randomly charged $13, 2 times last month. Superstar did not get back to her via email, going to the carwash directly, the manager stated that they have zero way of getting ahold of the home office, and that the ONLY way for support is via e-mail. I understand the value of e-mail support, but it only works if the company is responsive. On top of these issues, the carwash also ripped off the fin antennae on the roof of my wife's vehicle, which is not great. When this place first opened it was great. Everything worked and the towels were clean and folded and put in the bins. Now the vacuums barely suck (no pun intended), the air hoses don't work, and the towels are thrown in Willy nilly - still wet and sometimes dirty. They need to do better. read more

Stopping your membership and getting a refund for unauthorized transactions is next to impossible with this business. They keep charging you for service when you ask to cancel your membership. And they will post the charge during a random time, hopefully so you don't notice. Edit- they replied to my review but not my refund request. It seems like you have to get their attention in order to get things done. Immediately got assistance from my bank and I will no longer be using the car wash. I have been going here since 2021. My only gripe with this wash is the spinning cleaners in the was always are too close and there for push my mirrors in and does not get cleaned properly. I, also, recently paused my membership(s) for my wife and my car's. I did so after the payment for December's membership was already processed. I went there for a quick wash on my wife's car on the 12th and was told I cant go since the account has been suspended. I figured it was a 50/50 of getting it but since I had not received my funds back from them I gave it a shot thinking I was going to get my washes for the month. I was told it'll be a few days for the refund to hit. The reason for the low review though is simply because I was told to back out of the "one way" entrance instead of moving forward and through the exit there is where you wipe your car down. This was not only embarrassing but hard as ON COMING cars were coming down having to now go around me backing out of a ONE WAY. I started a membership with this location and im canceling it. The tire shine which im paying for hasn't worked since day one. There is wax all over my windows and car when i leave that doesn't get rinsed off. The floors where you vacuum your car and filthy. Every time i leave my car mats have more crumbs and little rocks than before i arrive. I feel like im getting hustled for my monthly membership and that employees are not keeping the place clean. This car wash has gotten worse. Both my sister and myself took our cars here and the wash barely removes the dirt. They give you free rags but you have to wipe off all the dirt on the top and the hood. I no longer go here. It used to be my go to but sadly, not anymore. read more

I have been using this car wash for about a year and a half. I have noticed that at times they have issues with the car wash. Specifically with the belt that pushed the cars through. I went last week and as I was getting near the end of the car wash I noticed the car in front of me was not moving, but my car was, so I slammed on my breaks. The car behind me hit my car. I was told to take pictures and to fill out a claims form. When they emailed me back they told me they are not responsible. So I have pulled both my memberships. I do not trust this car wash. I consider this to be a dangerous and risky car wash, especially after reading some of these reviews. I was also told I would be sent pictures of the incident through email to show me what happen. Update 04-12-2023- STILL UNRESOLVED.. I finally got a hold of Alex Parra Location Manager who promised to reimburse me for damages only to pay the repair out of pocket ($877), and the entire company to ignore several emails and calls from myself and the dealership that made the repair. This caused me a whole day out of work and the dealership wouldn't release my vehicle until I made the payment directly.. This company is a FRAUD AND DOES NOT HONOR DAMAGES MADE TO YOUR VEHICLE BY THEIR MACHINES. STAY AWAY from this company. I'm not the first person this has happened to (please refer to the reviews from this and other locations). I'm giving them 30 days to reimburse me and then I'm pursuing legal action. They have also not complied with the BBB complaint investigation to resolve this matter.. I can see a lot of honest people have had their vehicles damaged and my Attorney will surely reach out to them to pursue a class action lawsuit. This is not how we do business in America. Shame on you SSCW! I recently moved to Escondido and found this location on Centre City Pkwy. I picked this location because it was listed online as a place that does full detailing. Not the case when I arrived, it's a drive through self-service car wash. There were two employees that explained the membership and deals available to me and were nice. I signed up for the monthly membership and proceeded to go through the wash. I heard a thump while going through the wash but didn't think anything of it... Until, I parked to dry and vacuum. I immediately noticed that my antenna on the top of the roof was gone (this comes standard with any newer vehicle and not removable). Upon inspection, it was evident that the car wash rollers had ripped it off because the nails were still attached to the vehicle with small debris of what should of been the cover to the electronics for the antenna. Please note that as soon as this happened, I spoke with the onsite Manager or person in charge, and he assured me (after confirming video surveillance of my vehicle having the antenna before entering the wash) that he would personally follow up with me to get it fixed. I asked him if there was any other protocol needed of me to start a claim with the corporate office and he said, "NO". I gave him my information and left. I was not aware that a form needed to be filled out and a claim had to be initiated by the location directly, until, I reached out to "Customer Service". So, that error alone on behalf of the local employee has really made things much more complicated. Now, I'm a fair person and don't like to speak ill of businesses or right bad reviews; However, after 7X speaking with customer service and their promises to handle the situation, have the claims department follow up, and the District Manager to call me, AND they claim they also emailed the VP of Operations. Unfortunately, not one person has reached out to take accountability to date, and the incident happened on 02/10/2023. I'm now forced to not only pay damages of approx. $900 dollars to replace the antenna and electronic components just for trying to do business with this company? I think it's only fair that I try to warn as many people as I can to use caution and go elsewhere to a business that is honest and takes accountability for the services they are charging for. I also plan on filing a claim with my insurance company, file a complaint with the BBB and will pursue other legal avenues for this company not taking responsibility for the damages caused by their equipment on site! I have the monthly plan where I pay $25 for unlimited washes. It actually forces me to come wash my care at least once a week, which I can appreciate as it makes me keep my truck clean. For it comes out to $6-7 a week, and I make sure to come in at least that many times to get my money's worth. It's a nice and easy set up to utilize, as you just pull up to the entrance where their self service machine reads your license place. Once it scans your plate, you drive into the car wash and you are in and out in 2-3 minutes. Once you are washed up you can choose to exit and air dry, or they have plenty of covered areas with the following: *Self serve vacuums with two types of nozzles *Towels to wipe down the water *Compressed air to fill up your tires or to get the water out of tight spots (windows, in between crevices) On the times I have come by, I have not had any trouble finding a spot of wipe down my car after the car wash, but it will be busy on the weekends. Do not go here! Twice now the person sending cars through put the cat behind me too close and I got rear ended. Colton (blond hair guy with funky mustache) told me - oh no your car didn't get bummed , our machines are designed to not do that. .. happened again where the rollers did not move my car forward and I was hit again! So the attendee sent cars through too closely AND their rollers failed at the portion where car is rinsed. This time i was hit it dented the trunk of my car. The asst mgr (Colton ) took pics and claimed he reported it. I didn't hear from superstar peeps so I emailed them (there is no phone number to actually speak to someone). The corporate people decided after a "thorough investigation " that it was somehow my fault. Honestly, I usually LOVE the quality of wash that I get with SuperStar Car washes, more over other wash subscription companies, but I went to this location and was thrown off a little when one of their employees at the gate hit on me...it was inappropriate and made me feel really uncomfortable. On top of that, when I went to dry my car, my car was not as clean as it normally is when I go to other locations. The three stars are for Jordan who was very friendly and helped me purchase the wash. Everything went downhill from there. The guy who ushers in the cars didn't seem to leave enough space between me and the other car and my suspicions were correct; my car ended up bumping into the one before me. Luckily the guy I bumped into was super chill about it because he said he had been in my position at this location before. I know the car wash claims no responsibility so I didn't even bother bringing it up, but how hard is it to leave some space between cars? Used to come here often. The past 2 times the workers were very rude. Especially after I declined the monthly subscription, which I declined after I signed up last time and they doubled the monthly charge without warning and made it impossible to cancel. Now they won't offer an air freshener or wipe unless you pay an extra $12 or get the monthly subscription. They also no longer spray the bug spray on the front of the car and it didn't get fully cleaned. They are scrimping on everything now and it shows, from the quality of the wash to the employees. The last time i drove my ford explorer through the wash i heard a loud CRASH and cracking as the large Brush was going over the roof of my vehicle. ! I thought it was a Machine and not my Vehicle. Very upset I got a membership and so far every time I've gone it never worked. Always wonder why every time I went to fix it the manager was never there. Well I finally found my receipt with a completely different license plate that I'm not even associated with! And when I went to change it it's stating that mine is already in use I don't really understand how that mix up even happens. I went to this location today to purchase a single car wash. Well, I had to leave because one of your employees kept harassing me to buy a membership. After I said no to him, he should have stopped. I told him that I was not interested and that I wanted to just purchase a single car wash and he kept going. At that point, I said to him: can I just purchase my car wash? Really enjoying this quick car wash. It's a block away from the 78/15 highway entrance and it's quick wash and wax to knock off the dust, pollen and daily debris. You get a dash wipe and a air freshener to keep the interior as tidy as the exterior. It's a monthly fee, so I can do a quick wash every time I take the hoopty out for a drive. This place is really hit or miss as far as service & overall quality goes. The monthly membership is worth it in my opinion & unless I have some kind of terrible experience with an employee or damage done to my car, I obviously don't plan on canceling my membership. I like it because I obviously have an easier time getting through the line than someone who doesn't. If you don't have the membership, it's hard to recommend coming during times when it's less busy because I can pretty much guarantee that you'll have at least one experience where you'll see someone get out of their car to go looking for an employee to help them or help anyone (or you'll be that person). However, whether you have the pass or don't have the pass if you come during peak hours obviously, there will be more employees around to help you, so no lines or the line will move quickly. The only problem then is you might be waiting a little while for a spot to open up for a vacuum.. and guess what? The employees like to park their cars in those spots during their shifts! Most customers adhere to the "5 minutes or less" rule pretty well, so you don't ALWAYS wait. But I've noticed employees hanging out in their cars in vacuum spots during breaks. Again, I don't plan on canceling my membership, but it's definitely something I roll my eyes & chuckle at when I see customers waiting for those spots. You're not gonna spend a fortune if you get their basic plan. I pay $22.95/mo and I go through the wash once or twice a week (lots of birds where I work) & use the vacuums at least once or twice a month (you can do whatever you want though, they're free) so it averages out to about $3-$5 a week for me. So, when I think about a $3 or $5 car wash I kind of expect for the rags to be kind of dirty sometimes, or just not always available and for all the vacuums to not work very well. That's exactly what it's like here. Sometimes everything lines up well, sometimes it sucks & the dirt that was on my car just got wet and spread around.
