This is my go to spot for gas. This spot is close to my home and there is a car wash company here that does full cleanings and a Lourdes inside their convenient store. Lourdes is a Mexican restaurant with really good Chicken Soup. It's not usually crowded to get gas and they offer a small discount on the gas if you get your car washed. I like to get my car fully washed inside and out, grab Lourdes while I'm waiting to eat in their seating area (they have indoor and outdoor seating), then fill up my gas and get a little cash back on the gas. Requested service for the restrooms and the girl and the register just said ok and didn't do anything. No soap no toilet seat covers no toilet paper. Toilet was filthy. My favorite place to get gas at. Great station to fill up at, get a wash, fill up the tires, and/or get the entire car detailed. The trash cans are usually empty and the windshield washes are always full. I like that they give you a discount if you pay cash. Sign up for fuel rewards and it gets a little more cheaper. There's a shaded area to park at over my the tire inflator to walk to dog, rest, or enjoy those road snacks. read more

This place has gone downhill badly over the past couple years, that's one of the few places left where they actually vacuum your interior instead of making you do it yourself. But I went today and they did a terrible job for $40 which is the second best wash, I will not be going back, I found a mobile guy who does a better job close to the same price, then try and call them and complain about the horrible wash, you can't get through. I paid $29.99 for a wash with BUG REMOVER BODY SCRUB (still had bug splatter all over), POWER WITH 2X SOAP ACTION (but still had DUST on my trunk lid), TRIPLE FOAM POLISH AND SHINE (but paint still felt rough). And the windows were still dirty - looks like they used a dirty rag. Plus they have a very wordy poster where they try to weasel out of any responsibility for damage they cause to your car. Fortunately, mine was undamaged. But also unclean. What a waste of time and money. read more

Gas is gas but this is a convenient store with a good stock of beer. The gas prices are pretty high compared to the area probably due to its location, directly off the freeway exit. The car was always seems busy which makes it difficult to get in and out of here. The staff are friendly and are very welcoming. Excellent car wash! Go for the $20 car wash. You pay $18 for the car wash at the pump and then the wash attendant will offer and upgrade for the interior for $2 more -- so worth it! It's clever behavioral marketing -- you pay the $2 upgrade in the store, so it invites getting a beverage or snack while you wait for the car wash to be complete. They have a superb selection of spirits, beer and wine. There is also a hidden location of Lourdes Mexican in the back (my favorite chicken soup ever.) If I could give 0 stars to this place and the customer service, I would. Not only did the attendant inside put the money on the wrong pump (I needed diesel so I can't just drive to a different pump), someone else pulled up and used my money that was put on the wrong pump. The manager and the attendants refused to help us and said we have to wait the 3-5 business days for the hold to return even though we need to get back home to AZ right now. Horrible attitudes and blaming us and saying we told them the wrong pump when we clearly know which pumps have diesel vs. gas. It's weird that's there another Shell gas station about 30 yards always. I haven't been to the other one but this one has several pumps and just seems bigger. The gas is pretty affordable but if you pay cash it's cheaper but its still a little expensive because it's so close to the 15. I went inside to pay and saw tons of craft beer from Stone, Mother Earth and Garage from Temecula and the prices were great. The whole wall was all full of beer to my surprise and I spent about 10 minutes just looking. This is a good spot for gas and a great spot for craft beer. read more

So I stoped by at 5:20 AM on 12/17/20. Pump 13 was littering taking 5 mins per gallon to pump. Moved over to pump 15 is a bit faster but I'm 15 mins in and I have barely pumped 11 gallons. This gas station is really great...more of a local convenience store. And that beer selection!! If you love crafty brews, this location has a huge selection. Gas prices are a little higher than most, but it is quality shell gasoline. Friendly staff here, very helpful with applying my car wash discounts. The biggest challenge here is getting in and out of the busy parking lot. No left turns, and watch for accelerating traffic from the traffic light to the west. Typical Shell Gas Station. Nice selection of snacks and beverages to choose from. Bathrooms are decent. Great combo with El Norte Car Wash where you can get a $0.15 discount on gas with a purchase of a car wash. That's usually the only time I get gas from this location. Unfortunately, you have to go in and out and have to do 2 transactions to take advantage of the discount (pay for car wash, pickup car, go back in and give credit card for fuel, then when done, go back inside and they take the discount off). For a 25 gallon fill-up, the discount is (let's see, carry the 2, then take 4, and sneeze), that would be $3.75. Then maybe you can use the savings for lunch: for the best Chicken Soup in Escondido, Lourdes #2 is inside the Food Mart. Awesome!!! read more

But they had a very large and diverse selection of craft beers from a wide variety of brewers to include small brewers such as Stumblefoot. We loaded up on a couple varieties of beers for picnic purposes later. There is also a Lourdes Mexican restaurant inside that had wonderful chicken soup. It was so good we decided to get a couple burritos for later in the day. The Chicken burrito definitely was better than the carnitas burrito. Terrible, rude and unhelpful employees. We had stopped for gas, the pump won't dispense gas and cancelled the trasaction on its own. We asked the employee inside for help, he acted as though he was being inconvenienced and acted as though we were making his job harder to do. Ummm, WE, the customers, are the ones being inconvenienced by your faulty machine--do your job and inform the owners so that they can do something about it. Maybe step away from all that craft beer people here seem to be fawning over--the fumes might be affecting the frontal lobes. Not ever coming back. There are a lot more gas stations around and another Shell within a couple of miles. You don't have a monopoly. read more

Had a lot of bugs on the front and little sparrow droppings throughout the car. I bought the second most expensive wash for $20. I saw the attendant scrubbing the vehicle ahead of mine, before running it thru the wash. When it was my turn, he squirted it with water and soap and proceeded to send me thru. I quickly asked if he was going to scrub my car as well, to which he replied "no, the brushes in the wash will take care of it." Well, it didn't. It didn't even remove or smear some of the road grease from the front bumper. When I went to the front cashier of the station, he could've cared less. He seemed to imply that because I didn't purchase the most expensive wash or have my interior cleaned, that was it. He became very argumentative and made no offer to make it better, and walked away. I will never go to this Shell Station again for gas or a wash, and you shouldn't either. They don't care about the quality of their work or the customer. read more

I often stop here to fill up while grabbing a few of my favorite craft beers. My favorite hobby is trying new beer and this place always has a bunch of bottles I've never even seen before. Admittedly, I don't go inside much, but I come here for gas almost exclusively... lot of pumps (including diesel), very fair fuel prices, and its generally pretty clean. Inside, they have a pretty good selection of food and drinks, and having Lourdes Mexican Food there is nice as well. Only bad things I've experienced are that the staff inside can occasionally be rude, and they don't always fill the water/soap containers where the squeegees for cleaning your window are. read more

I find it funny that at this intersection here in Escondido there is literally two Shell gas stations. This is the station on the south side, with the car wash. You would never know it from it's humble, seemingly regular gas station exterior...but inside lurks a fantastic taco shop...and one of the best craft beer, soda and energy drink selections I have ever seen outside of a specialty store!
