I have an addiction to these stores! My friends and I call it "The TS" and I've been shopping here since they opened this store! It's the sister store to the Mission Bargain Center, down Oxnard Blvd, across the street and over the tracks. Both stores are huge warehouses full of scavenging goodness! Like Miki W, most of my clothing is purchased here! These stores get donations from the Camarillo Outlet stores and you can easily find new items with tags still on them. Been making the drive up to Oxnard specifically to come here, for over a decade now. No exaggeration, about 90% of my clothing is purchased here! The store is HUGE, and the clothes are pretty well organized. The prices are the best I have ever seen. I routinely walk out with 2 or 3 bags of clothes (usually, several dresses, a couple pairs of pants, a few skirts and some shirts) for about $40. I was there on Saturday and one of my bags was forgotten at register after I paid and left. I didnt realize it until Sunday and thought for sure what took me a couple of hours to find would be put back. I called yesterday described what I thought was in bag and they had it! It's not clean, but who's looking for spotless when going for used? The selection is what you come here for. When in this area you need to stop in and check. Twice now I have found silver trays. As in real silver. The vases are always plentiful as well. I've seen a few cast iron pans here along with some other good types of kitchen/cooking stuff. I don't ever buy clothing in thrift stores, but I would say this one has a pretty huge selection of everything clothing, bags, shoes. It makes me sad to write this review, because I love this store. I have spent quite a large amount of money here. I have been coming here at least once a week for the past year or so. The employees/volunteers have always been friendly to me, and they know me by name. Whenever my friends are in town, this is the first place we visit before we go out for lunch. I've donated bags of clothes, shoes, linens, books, etc to this store on a regular basis since I've been an Oxnard resident for the past several years. However, this last Thursday during the sale, I was extremely disappointed when I was unable to purchase an item because the flimsy price tag went missing. It must have caught on one of my other items during my shopping and accidentally tore off and fell to the floor. I tried to explain this to the girl at the register and she said the policy was "No price, No sale" and pointed to the sign. I kindly said ok, I understand for next time. I asked her to make an exception because I didn't have a cart or a bag to carry any of my items in due to the sale and the lack of carts and bags and extra customers. Again, she pointed to the sign. I explained how much time I spent looking for a great item gift to send to my daughter. I knew she would really love this piece even though it wasn't even a popular brand. Plus, I was already spending $38 on 4 other items! I even offered to pay the full price of the tag that had been on the blouse! The price was $11.99. She still said no and she refused to get her manager when I asked her. She said it has to be driven away to an entirely different warehouse to be priced. I was shocked!! Seriously? Why do the customers have to be punished when the store is using flimsy paper tags to price the clothes? Thrift stores need donations and customers to stay in business and to keep a good reputation with their community! I am devastated to say that after this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this place ever again. I should've abandoned all my items and not closed my sale. But after spending 3 hours in that place, searching and searching, I wanted to leave with something. Sadly, the one piece I really came in for was left inside, crumpled up and thrown onto the floor on top of a pile of clothes behind the registers. read more

..I pop in every now and again to look for toys. They package most of the toys in bundles. Package of stuff toys. Package of plastic toys. Package of dolls. I was looking for specific dolls but the package I found included the doll I wanted plus a couple of badly damaged dolls, another type of doll I have no interest in and a large action figure doll for boys. It was not worth the price of the package just to get the one doll. Another time, I found a doll I liked but it was in a package of stuffed toys and other unrelated toys. Again, not worth the package price just to get the one doll. I'm really upset that the store always packages badly damaged toys with good toys. I like this store for treasure hunting and have found some fantastic things. It's a great place to find vases for flowers. I've found some beautiful picture frames but that's a hit or miss. They have 25% off on Thursday and it's crazy busy. The lines can be very long. You can't just assume you are going to find something but that's part of thrift store shopping. This is by far my favorite thrift store in the Oxnard/Ventura area. I'm an avid thrifter that tries to make weekly visits. Here, I've found some great items for great prices. A new Lululemon backpack for $4, Madewell jeans and jackets $2-5, a Keepsake skirt $2, the list goes on. Do reserve yourself at least an hour to really get in there and dig. This place and the ARC nearby are mega thrift stores like you rarely see. I mean they are huge, almost Target size. This is a fun shop to wander around in. I don't like how they have their records organized as you have to crawl around on the floor to look at some very worn boring titles. Books are much better organized. Lines can get long, but multiple registers so fast service. It does have a bathroom, which is not as scary as some other thrift bathrooms I have visited. read more

If you are looking for previously owned clothes than this is the thrift store for you. The women's clothing section takes up the entire back section of the huge store. However, if you are looking for other items, they are limited and you really have to search. Two things that I look for when I thrift are cassette tapes and picture frames. As far as I can tell Super Thrift does not carry cassettes though they do have records and CDs. The frames were also limited, I found a better selection at the Goodwill by my house. Pricing here is extremely reasonable though. I got two frames, two vintage jackets, two shirts (one from J. Crew and one from American Eagle) and a denim skirt for $24. Long story short, this place is great for clothes but I'd go somewhere else for other used goods. It's also pretty dirty so come prepared with hand sanitizer. read more

Great air conditioning for such a huge thrift store, that comforts helps a lot on a hot summer day , so much to choose from selection is huge and organized. I love this "boutique!" My family (mostly the women of my big family) and I have been coming here for yeeears! It is a scenic drive with a destination all the way from Santa Monica. This place is legit! Very large, well-organized and I have always left with at least a couple bags full of goods. Nice, big parking lot and 25% off everything on Thursdays. Large baby/ kid area with lots of clothes and toys. Everything is priced right! When I am in Oxnard, I **must** hit up this store. I used to love this thrift store because it has so much stuff, but this last time I went I was very disappointed/upset by the pricing. All of a sudden everything has been marked up. Good place to shop Thursdays is there sale day and there is a lot of people they do open at eight am so be sure to get there to find some parking. Large thrift store with tons of cool stuff. Really thought they had a variety of eclectic and practical items for everyone. I was able to find some nice new and used office attire for work and scored a Lucky Brand Jean jacket for about $10 bucks. Found brand new work appropriate basic black heels for $4.99. Some of the staff seemed happy to be there and help you out and the other half not so much. The bathroom needs a good cleaning but overall it was good experience and would like to go back when we get a chance. read more

Just returned from my first trip to STS in Oxnard. I am so excited and cannot wait to return. Got 4 pairs of GAP jeans and a bunch of cute tops for under $40. Great deals if you have the time to look through the stuff. Jeans sorted by size, tops sorted by color. Be aware, if there is no price on the item they WILL NOT sell it to you. I really like this thrift store. I've came here three times already in the past month. Every Thursday they have 25% off discounts. The prices are amazing I've bought a lot of things in my past trips. It gets really packed and there is never enough shopping carts. On my third trip I got there exactly at 8 A.M. and I still didn't get a shopping cart. So I suggest you bring your own cart or bag to avoid carrying your things. I also suggest bring a water bottle because it gets tiring carrying all your things and going through all the clothes (some aisles are jam packed with clothes). It's the biggest thrift store I've ever been to. It's not all too organized and it's kind of hard to go through the aisle since most are too narrow. But I still really like it. read more

Huge selection of women's shoes and clothing. I have bought brand new things here that were a huge deal. Once in a while something will be priced a little high, but that's how all thrift stores are. Went in today looking for a jacket for this cold weather we've been having.I found a jacket which was in pretty good condition I really like it. I go up to the cash register and was told "are you ready" with a rude tone I simply just went up and dumped my clothes and she went on and scanned my items. All of a sudden some small dog walks in barely to the door and goes out of the store right away and the girl starts saying "oh my god there's a filthy dog in the fucking store" like excuse me ?? What kind of language is that.The lady that was leaving the store says omg poor dog should we call the shelter and the EMPLOYEE tells her close the door yes poor dog but I don't want him biting one of the customers like what the fuck no close the door" She was talking to her as if the lady was an employee. Love the store! They have lots of options but the employee were very impolite. I was given the wrong change and when I went back in to see if they can check if they misplaced it. Once I looked that I had the wrong change I quickly went back in. I talked to the an employee and she said she couldn't do anything about until they closed and this was around 3pm. I communicated with them and agreed that they will call me the next day just to let me know if they found my money and also go show me the video camera to make sure. It's been 3days and I still have not received a call. I have forgotten about the money but do they not care about the employees and just ignored my concern?
