Jacket didn't have price tag asked employee if they could price it said they couldn't sell it takes jacket from me and puts it behind the counter and said come next morning person who prices stuff will be there wasn't there still wouldn't sell me it to me goes back next day and it's gone

I had three items and they were tagged apparently they didn't agree with the price on them and took them back and couldn't sell it to me because it was too cheap made my kid cry I'm so disappointed at this place

I can't believe this was my first time here! Wow, if you're just here to look around, give yourself at least an hour. This large and in charge store is so fun to navigate - men's and women's are divided into two parts of the store, but the shoes are altogether and you'll need to go through all the aisles to potentially find what you need. I found some great items and the employees are so wonderful and friendly. I can't wait to be back. Prices are decent and they do put more valuable items behind the counter and hung up high around the store.

Wow prices have gone up a bit. Surprised to see times as much as 89.99. What happened to cheap thrift shopping? Not what it used to me. It's not like finding treasure anymore. This store is very disorganized and dirty. Very unfortunate as years ago, it was one of my faves! I left with nada.

This is the saddest thrift store in Oxnard! The customer service is mediocre to be honest the cashiers are always chit chatting and really when I walked in today they just looked at me with an awful look so I put my headphones in but honestly that's not the biggest problem here it's the mess I know it's a day after Christmas but there is another thrift store a block down that is absolutely immaculate clean and organized I couldn't believe my eyes truthfully idk who manages this place but please get a grip it's absolutely ridiculous this isn't something new I shop this store at least once a week you will find this mess here any day of the week the amount of times I have tripped over hangers clothes is incredible ridiculous it's an absolute hazard in this place I really don't know why this place has become such a disaster it's really a shame because it has a lot of potential it's HUGE inside I'm disappointed because I live about 5 minutes but I can't stand it I find myself hanging stuff back up and picking stuff up off the floor more than I actually shop please do better and please if you are shopping here please be careful of the tripping hazards ( I also added this to google reviews but yelp lets me add all my photos )

Pretty awesome thrift store if you're looking for gently loved clothing. Well stocked and really well organized. They have a discount day on Thursday mornings. Huge parking lot right outside. In the back area on the outside, they have a donation spot. Ido wish they had more carts for you to use in store. Seriously, there are only like 2. If you find heavy things or glass ware is such a pain in the ass to carry them around the store. Still no changing rooms but there are mirrors. Bathrooms available but you have to ask for the keys up in the front with the cashier and leave your keys in place of the bathroom ones. Their bric-a-brac is pretty well priced. I usually get my floral arrangement vases here for about two bucks. Some of the cashiers can be short and are always in a rush. But they'll wrap your glassware and place them in a box if you ask them ;) Cons: they need more carts

Yesterday I found a merino wool/silk pashmina shawl for $4.95. It was marked "Vintage," even though these shawls are still in production. But the marking suggested that whoever priced it recognized that it was something special. There are lots of employees working hard to stock and tidy the store. They are polite and helpful when asked a question. It is a large store, with mostly clothing, shoes, purses, and linens, plus a smaller selection of appliances and other hard goods. There is no furniture. I like their colored-tag system, where each item gets a colored tag and merchandise with the oldest tag color is discounted. They also have a "Best" area with designer labels. A lot of the items I looked at were priced around $20, although some were higher--for example, I saw a Johnny Was jacket for $69. My main criticism is the amount of stained clothing that is priced quite high. I think this is something management should take a look at. Most people don't want to bargain at the register, so those stained, overpriced items just sit there. The result is that the clothing racks are very full, which makes it harder to sort through them and see what is actually worth buying. For people who are complaining about thrift-store prices, I do understand why prices have gone up. Thrifting has become much more popular, we're dealing with inflation, and minimum wage is now $16.90 an hour. I don't object to paying a fair price for something genuinely desirable. But I do agree that it is disappointing to find high prices on damaged merchandise, and it makes it harder to find things you would actually consider buying. And part of the fun of thrifting, at least for those of us who do it as a pastime, is finding a bargain. Current pricing strategies at many thrift stores are making that harder and less fun. I think thrift stores need to have some true bargains for people to discover. That's what keeps the hunt interesting. I volunteered at another thrift store, the Bargain Box, for 10 years, so I have some experience with this. Our general policy was that an item in perfect but used condition was priced at around one-third of the new price. Dated clothing was priced lower. Stained items or things with missing parts were sent to another thrift store, sold to a recycler, or discarded if they were hard goods. That approach kept the inventory moving at a reasonable rate. For vintage or designer items, we would look them up on online resale sites such as Etsy, eBay, ThredUp, or Poshmark, find several comparable prices, and then price the item below the lowest price we found. Often we priced it a little lower than that because a brick-and-mortar thrift store with limited foot traffic doesn't have the same customer base as an online reseller. I'll definitely be back to the Arc Foundation store. I've already found some good things there, and I'm hoping to find more.
