We were there from Friday evening till mid Sunday afternoon and no one came to camp in the spot she told us we had to move our tent & belongings in the dark. You have no control who camps here but rules should be followed. There are quiet hours posted but they are not followed! There were other campers playing loud music & drinking til 1am!! This is very disrespectful to the other campers on the camp ground. If you don't like loud music & some confusion I wouldn't recommend this place.

It's walking distance from the beach and the main strip. We parked our car when we arrived and never touched it all weekend. The hotel also provides bikes to rent but we found that most places are walking distance and the roads/paths are not very bike friendly. Check in was super simple. Our room was very clean and updated. I wish they had smart TVs to connect to Netflix but we didn't spend much time watching TV anyways so it wasn't a big issue. The restaurant did seemed to get a bit noisy at night which drifted up to our room. The breakfast baskets were a BIG hit! The frittatas tasted so good! The fruit cups were also so fresh. I tried the prosciutto croissant on our last day which hit the spot. The quality of food was top notch - just wish we were able to order more! I had an appointment at the spa as well during our stay. The spa staff is super friendly. I used the robe and spa slippers provided in our room and spent some time in the salt water pool and hot tub before my appointment.

Upshot is - I think this is a good place and we're very likely to stay here again the next time we're in the Peru, IN area. The hotel is welcoming with a bright, open lobby, good, safe parking and friendly, helpful staff. The lobby was clean and featured a lot of conveniences for which snootier places would charge. Breakfast, as others have mentioned, was a real treat and Nicole was a whirling peach helping everyone out while evincing friendly interest in all guests. Our room was perhaps less perfectly clean than it might have been (either a large white-haired dog or a polar bear had recently been housed there, and housekeeping's noble struggles to mop up all the residue weren't 100% successful) and the bathtub drain was slow and allowed water to pool around my ankles during just a quick shower. Here's the thing, though: we were headed to a wedding shortly after we arrived and were only there for one night. I'm CERTAIN that if I'd mentioned these issues to the folks at the front desk, they would have been rectified tout suite. I didn't, though, because I didn't have the time. (I mentioned them in response to a "How Were Things?" email from management - hey, and that email itself is a great sign, eh? - and got a royal apology and a promise to jump on fixes.) And other family members staying at the Best Western Circus City Inn had nothing but high praise for the cleanliness and functionality of their quarters. Ours was just bad luck - what are you gonna do? It happens. So, while _our_ experience was maybe a little flawed, I think that was unusual and the hotel itself is a solidly good place to stay in Peru.

The accommodations were clean and comfortable in a beautiful country setting off the road and near the Tippecanoe River. But at 5:00 am I was awakened by planes taking off seemingly directly over the hotel. The employees were very nice, especially the breakfast attendant. The breakfast had a larger variety than most HIE locations. The seating area was fairly crowded with tables and chairs in a small space. My room was clean, the shower looked dirty at first but after examination it seemed to be stained rather than dirty.

But the room didn't have an alarm clock or sound machine that should have been normal for a place like this. While the TV had a very good range of channels, the lack of a sleep timer again adds to stars being subtracted. Not having a microwave in regular rooms should be a no no for resort hotels. The food was average at best. Nothing to write home about especially the quiche and the muffins. If they want more stars, it is the little things that matter.

The room also had a fireplace which came in handy since it was around 40 degrees on the night we were there. Overall the room was nice and the view made it worth it. They recently opened up The Living Room area in the lobby which has breakfast in the morning and snacks and drinks in the evening. They also gave us drink tickets as well to use on coffee or drinks. Breakfast starts at 8am, but I am an early riser and was hoping for a coffee while I watched the sunrise. I did make a tea with the electric kettle in the room. The lobby/Living Room set up is perfect for drinks, not so much for a family having breakfast. They do sell local Michigan snacks, but you have to ask at the front desk and they have to find them. I would've just preferred a vending machine or an easier way to get snacks between 8pm and 8am when the Living Room is not open. The pool and jacuzzi were great, but we did have a hard time finding them. The indoor pool entrance was through an unmarked door on the second floor so it took us a few minutes of exploring to find it. I don't think the indoor pool was heated, but it wasn't too bad. The hotel is very centrally located so it was just a short drive to the beach, restaurants, and shopping.

We found this hotel from the map that was between Chicago and Lafayette, and per Google Map, there were many stores around in this area. I am very glad that we chose this place to stay a night instead of heading to West Lafayette directly. When we arrived in Chicago, there was a big thunderstorm where we could barely see the highway. It was really scary, and we were all concerned about our safety. Thanks to this hotel, we were able to rest during the storm. The hotel itself isn't fancy, and it's more like a regular Comfort Inn. While it's not sparklingly brand new, it was clean and comfortable. The room was very spacious. The beds were fine. We got clean sheets and towels. The breakfast selection was limited, but with this price I couldn't expect to get a full buffet. It's enough for our breakfast anyways. The staff was friendly and helpful. The TV remote in our room didn't work, so I did tell the staff when I checked out. The staff thanked me and took a note. We would love to come again if we would be in the area next time.

Hallway carpets really need cleaning. My toilet seat was loose. If you used the microwave it smelled like something burning. The laundry is one washer, one dryer both very used. Staff was really working hard but friendly, except the evening desk clerk.
