The food is your average Chinese food. The problem lies with the service. We ordered 3 orders of crab ragoon to go. Came home with only two. Called them to make aware and they accused us of lied bag, not once but over and over again. We only wanted what we paid for. I finally said I was going to post a review. First time at Super Wok tonight. Last time as well. The floor was sticky and dirty. The windows were filthy and fogged up. It looks like a family owned place with several people working . I was concerned about the older woman in the back, as she looked confused and dirty herself . The woman at the counter was very nice and the food came quickly out . I ordered cashew chicken with white rice. My husband got the pork lo mein. He said it was tasty and had a good sauce with it. Mine however was awful. The chicken was stringy and slimy. The mushrooms were also slimy and the veggies were HUGE. Not cut and the carrots had a dirty taste . There were about 3 cashews in the whole dish. Below average but will get by in a town were there is no competition. Two stars for location (next to Kroger). Food lacks in flavor. Beef & Broccoli is 2/3 broccoli. Lo Mein is average at best. General Tso's is bland and not crisp. Sit down buffet is now closed. Interior is uninviting with a cellophane and tape barrier between you and the counter. Chinese cuisine is a treat for most in Central Ohio. I've ordered twice in the last few months and it's been a disappointment both times. I hope they can turn things around. read more

It's been over a decade since I was in Pataskala looking for Chinese and I wondered if my memories of Super Wok would hold up to reality. They did! While things are different now, the dining room is closed and the counter is hidden by a wall of plastic for Covid, the food remains really good Americanized Chinese takeout. The steamed dumplings are flavorful, the egg rolls deep fried goodness, but it's the General Tso's that I crave. A balance of sweet and hot in that bright orange color that isn't typically found in nature. Good stuff! read more

I've had Chinese food in Hong Kong, Japan's "Chinatown" (in Yokohama), San Francisco's Chinatown -- and various places in-between. A vast majority of them were disappointing. Much to my surprise, Super Wok was not -- I love this place! It doesn't look like much. You walk in and there is a counter -- and you can see the cooks of the family-owned business hard at work over the stoves beyond it. The menu is on the wall, with large photos of many dishes.There are also paper menus on the counter. I've never seen anyone eating inside the dining room -- but it is a large space. Not fancy. But clean. I understand they have buffets here at lunch but I've only visited evenings. There are always people seated in front waiting for their orders -- this place is busy. EVERYTHING is very good! All of the ingredients are fresh. And the portions are HUGE. This restaurant is much better than many Chinese restaurants I've been to in San Francisco. I am amazed (and lucky) to have it so close to home here in Ohio. read more

That stated, their food is consistently good, their chicken teriyaki appetizer is to die for, the chicken curry is delicious. We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately that really wasn't the case. The staff were so friendly so it's sad to say that the food is pretty bad. I had the hot & sour soup and it did not taste hot or sour but just yuck. I also had the szechuan beef and the beef tasted more like pork, it also was not spicy at all. My husband had general tso and said that it was not too bad but not great. The fried rice was odd because i didn't see any egg or anything that would indicate it was fried rice but instead was yellow. The eggrolls were decent and the portions are big. read more

Even though we live 30 min away now, we still make the treck back to pataskala for take out ever one or two weeks. I recommend ordering the hot and spicy chicken in a combo platter, its not on the menu, but is an item on the buffet bar that is wonderful! read more

super wok is one of the best Chinese food I've had. I live in pataskala so am able to frequent it whenever I wish, I Love everything that we have ordered there. This family run business have consistently served up good food that is good but also ample portions. Alex my husband manages finish off his portion but I have always ended up taking half my meal for dinner tomorrow. The egg rolls can't be beat and the broccoli chicken has become a personal favorite. Hubby likes the spicy dishes so he can speak for those. I'm not a fan of spicy. You must try the teriyaki chicken love it. read more
