Merry Christmas to us. Every year on the 23rd we order Chinese take out, most usually from China House. I am the only person this year who couldn't eat it because my baby is allergic to soy. So I ate from another place this year. My entire family is drop dead sick with severe food poisoning. It set in immediately after they began eating the food. The only thing they ate yesterday was China House. I am about to take my husband to the emergency room. China House has great tasting food. Their dishes with chicken and beef have fresh vegetables which enhances the taste of each dish. Their steamed dumplings are an equal part filing in each doughy dumpling. We had szechuan beef/chicken and moo goo gai pan. Both choices were excellent and were not greasy. Reheating them the next day still tasted good and the veggies were still crunchy. We also enjoyed the house fried rice. A definite add to our takeout rotation. read more

At a coworker's recommendation, hubby and I tried China House on the way home from an appointment in the area. I was thrilled! Not only is the food great, but their portions are very generous and prices reasonable. They also deliver, which surprised me since we live what I consider a decent distance away. The food is consistently good - sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, chicken and Chinese vegetables, chicken lo mein, and crab Rangoon are the orders I'll rotate and they've all been delicious; seriously their crab Rangoon is incredible. Ordered the wings, sesame chicken & shrimp fried rice tonight and it was terrible. I've only ever had the wings previously and they were good, well seasoned. Tonight, they didn't have any flavor at all and were overcooked. The fried rice was very mushy and disgusting, and also had no flavor. The sesame chicken was very soggy and had an almost gritty consistency. None of my family enjoyed it, and we ended up having to throw all of it away. I never write reviews, but the food was such a disappointment and waste of money that I felt the need to review tonight. read more

That's the only reason Johnny is there, and though he does a good job, he's basically a puppet with a smile. I wouldn't call him a manager. They have amazing food and it's always fresh. My favorite is sesame chicken made with white meat and shrimp fried rice. Well any of the fried rice is good. I'm not originally from Columbus and was disappointed when I kept trying different places that had fried rice that definitely wasn't fried. It looked like yellow rice from a steamer or something. This place is authentic. Everything I've eaten from here was A-1 . I'm always sad when I crave it On a Sunday though. I wish they would hire people who have a different religion or whatever the reason is they're closed, just so I can eat it on a Sunday. It always taste even better on an off day. I absolutely wait instead of ordering from a place who's food is mediocre. I live all the way in Worthington & yes, I drive there to get my food. It's that good. read more

They're always very very nice on the phone, the food arrives in a timely manner, the deliver man is incredibly nice and always has a smile on his face, the prices are super reasonable, and the food is HOT AND DELICIOUS.
