I have so many things to say about this place but I will keep it short. If you order for pickup it is ready so fast which I love. They have the best chicken pad thai I have ever had, the food is always piping hot and delicious. Their fried rice is always cooked perfectly, not too wet, not too dry. Horrible. I ordered war su gai, chicken and green beans, sweet and sour chicken, an egg roll and egg drop soup. Everything was completely tasteless. The war su gai sauce tasted a little like ginger, but nothing else. The soup needed so much garlic, onion, and salt to make it taste like anything. The egg roll was flavorless and gritty. Headed to Morse Rd to vote early on an election issue. On the way back home I noticed Little Dragons sitting there and thought "why not?" Never been there and wanted to try it, so ordered a takeaway to try a couple of my favorites. Portions of everything were beyond generous, a great perk when the food is good. Bamboo Pork 筍尖肉絲 Every restaurant makes this dish differently, Dragon's rendition was perfectly prepped and featured a pleasantly spicy zing thanks to a handful of charred fresh jalapeños. Chinese-Style Kung Pao Chicken 宮保雞丁 Whenever a place has KP Chicken listed twice, I choose whichever is listed as "Chinese style." Aside from heavier spicing this typically means more protein, extra chilies and zero veggies (except peanuts). The sauce was slightly sweet/sour with just the right amount of Ma and La. The Hot & Sour soup was quite good, probably one of the better I've had around town. Egg roll - alas it was chicken, was pretty standard and is not something I'd order again. The food was terrible. The egg roll was as if it was a frozen one from the grocery store. The dish Happy family was inedible; the sauce had a funky smell and taste which it may have been the fake crap meat which could have caused the nasty taste and smell. The only meat in the dish was the pork which was barrable if you rinsed off the sauce. The other dish was rice noodles with shrimp. Dry and the shrimp were chewy. Small nice Chinese restaurant at a strip mall in Morse road. When we arrived there were no other seated customers other than me and my husband so I'm not sure if it gets busy on other days. The tables were nice and clean so I'm pretty happy with that. We ordered dumplings, spicy wontons, spicy fish fillet, and Mongolian beef. My favorites are the Mongolian beef and dumplings. I would rate them 5/5. The fish fillet has a bit too much breading so I would say 3/5. I wasn't a big fan of the spicy wontons compared to others I've tasted so I'll rate that 1/5. This is a bit of a hole in the wall with limited ambience and staff, but they serve very good Sichuan food. They also serve beer here. For appetizers, we got the beef tripe -- it was delicious. One of the best in the Columbus area. For the main meal we shared their Chinese water spinach, which was in season and also excellent. We asked the server whether he recommended the Sichuan spicy fish or the combination hot pot and he recommended the fish without hesitation. Good call. It came on a burner so the food was always kept warm. It was also very tasty although I would have preferred it with a bit more heat (my wife liked it just as is). As mentioned earlier the restaurant is quite modest with limited decor. The host is also the server and also the one to clean the restaurant. That was the only unseemly thing, which is that he kept cleaning the floors and reverted to serving the food. Clearly very hard working, but I couldn't help but wonder whether he washed his hands in between serving and cleaning. I came hoping for authentic chinese but what I got was very dried out lo mein, and Basil Chicken that actually choked my wife from all the crushed bones in the chicken. The pieces of chicken was from leg bones that they did not debone but chopped up with a dull knife, crushing the bones. It was totally unedible. Columbus is not known for authentic Chinese restaurants and that's still the case after eating at Little Dragons. This plainish eatery, tucked in a non-descript strip mall, tries to make tasty authentic dishes but did not hit the mark for us. We ordered Singapore rice noodle (a common noodle dish found in many chinese restaurants), spicy fish filets, stewed beef, and crispy squid. The spicy fish, served over a warmer (that was not lit) was barely spicy and the fish filets were cooked unevenly. The beef stew, also served over a lit warmer, was too lean so it was slightly chewy and the dish was overwhelmed with bamboo shoots. The best flavored dishes were the simpler, more common plates of noodle (good curry flavor, not oily, had the meats), and crispy squid (an unadorned plate of battered squid). If you're looking for authentic Szechuan cuisine, try elsewhere. Little Dragons likely makes very good Chinese-American dishes, at a reasonable price based on our experience. read more

Pretty solid takeout/delivery option. I was craving me some Chinese and thanks to Yelp this spot popped on my radar. It's a little North from me and I know I would have never found it if I hadn't been browsing through the app. I ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer, the vegetable fried rice, and the General Tso's with tofu. This is an incredible amount of food for roughly thirty bucks (including delivery fee and tip). I was excited to have left overs for the following day's lunch. It arrived at my place rather quickly, my growling belly was elated to hear the doorbell. Then I dove right in. The Crab Rangoon was the best I've had in Columbus. The filling had great texture and I could see giant junks of crab inside, plus is was really flavorful. They were also fried perfectly. Definitely a great start to the meal. Next up was the General Tso's with tofu. The tofu was perfectly crispy, just how I like it! The broccoli was just as you'd expect. The sauce was a little mild and not like what I'm used to getting when I order General Tso's. Every now and then I would get a recognizable bite. I was a little let down, but it was still good, just not exactly what I was expecting. Lastly, the fried rice had a great deal of veggies in it, but it was very bland and soft. I like my fried rice to feel fried, like a couple crispy pieces throughout. If you can't tell by this review, texture is important to me. I would definitely order from here again, I'll just likely switch up my order a little bit. Certainly, give it a try if you're looking for some quality Chinese. Little Dragons is a hidden gem on Morse Road. I wouldn't expect something this good from the looks of it. They have one of the best weekend buffets in Columbus. It's the best time to come. This blows away almost every Chinese buffet you've been to. I made sure to come on a weekend. It's about $10 for the buffet. The one at Imperial Garden is the only buffet in Columbus to come close to it. If you want a good variety you should check it out. This isn't like the other buffets that pile half warm shit and leave it to sit for hours. It's fucking good for once. They have a menu other than the buffet, but you should try it your first time here. I would for sure come to Little Dragons for the buffet. It seriously is one of the best Chinese buffets. Man I totally wanted to love this place. It's close by my work and the space inside was large and very clean. The food was ready well before the quoted time. It has about the same price point as most of the Chinese places we've been to recently BUT it was all bland. We got rangoons, potstickers, chicken lo mein, and Tso's. Basic, I know but usually a good way to see what a place has got. They did offer more authentic Szechuan stuff but we were sharing with the kiddo, so ya know. Anyway, the lo mein was fettuccine which bummed me out (sorry not sorry, it's not the same) and the Tso's was sweet and flat tasting. The girlfriend and I wound up at this restaurant after finding that Huong was closed for the week. This turned out to be a benefit for me, since I'd been wanting to check Little Dragons out ever since seeing them in a YouTube video for great authentic Chinese in Columbus. It's packed away in a strip mall a few doors down from Lawshea's. I swear there used to be a BMV here too, but it was no longer. There's so much great Sichuan dishes going on here with the menu that it took me forever to figure out what to get. Luckily, the service was a bit slow, so I had some time. Just like I'd say for a review on any other spot like this, they have Americanized dishes, but if you're making the trek out here, you might as well go for something more traditional. We ended up splitting the five spices beef tendon and pan fried chive buns. The menu has five spices tendon and five spices beef (which I ordered), and they brought me out the tendon. I don't see the other option online, so they may just have the tendon. Either way, I really liked this dish a lot but not as much as my girlfriend. And the chive buns... they're amazing! I could sit there eating those all day. As for an entree, I was feeling a bit adventurous, so I went with the spicy crispy frog legs. These bad boys are coated in peppercorns and chili oil, so if you like hot, this is definitely a dish for you. To be honest, I've never had frog legs before, and after trying the first one, I couldn't stop eating them. They're not intimidating at all and are basically longer, skinnier versions of chicken wings. The meat itself actually tasted pretty similar, and they give you quite a few legs. I'm really glad I gave this a shot, because I'd be more than willing to order it again at any restaurant now. My girlfriend had the chili pork, and it was very good as well, but they give you a heaping portion, so good luck finishing it if you've had any appetizers. It made a great second meal the next day. Between this spot, Fortune, and Helen Asian Kitchen, there's excellent phenomenal Sichuan food here in Columbus. I wish more would pop up closer to downtown, so I didn't have to drive 20 minutes every time I wanted some. You need to check out Little Dragons if you love this kind of food, because they're popping out great dishes. I hear they also have dim sum on the weekends! Can it be a bit pricey, with dishes in the 10-15 dollar range? Sure, but if you are in a group and all share a few dishes, it's not so bad. How do you enjoy a Chinese restaurant like this? Look - whenever the owners of a Chinese restaurant are gracious enough to include delicious and authentic dishes on the menu in English (as a Chinese American guy who isn't very good at speaking Chinese, not being able to order off of the Chinese menu at some places is a source of great frustration), go for those dishes. Skip over the Kung Pao General Tsao crap (which is probably still tasty, but you can get that anywhere), and instead go for some stuff like this: 1) Spicy Conch Salad 2) Szechuan-style spicy fish fillet hotpot (Probably not the exact name) 3) Frog legs with basil What's that? You're worried that the beautiful conch shells provide a false idea of how the slimy gastropod contained within will taste? Don't worry. The Spicy Conch Salad is delicious, crisp, refreshing, with thinly-sliced conch pieces (everywhere else, they are cubed, and don't quite capture the flavor of the conch as well). The pieces are chewy, but sliced thinly so they can be enjoyed thoroughly, with none of the taste going to waste. Worried Szechuan spice will be too spicy for you? Well, maybe, but it's never too late to start getting accustomed to spice. It really isn't that spicy, and the fish is super tender, soft, and flavorful. The broth is delicious as well. Eww, frogs? Look, the only reason you should hesitate eating a frog is if you're in the amazon and you're being served brightly colored frogs. These frog legs are 100% delicious. While the idea of eating it might be off-putting to you, they really aren't too different from chicken. Oh, except they're better, as the meat is not dry and stringy like chicken can be. Don't forget to chew on the bones after. These three food items are just a sampling of some of the dishes you can get here. I really suggest you come here and go for the gold - the real, authentic food, and not the usual stuff. By the way, I also ordered the Rabbit here once. I felt bad for eating a cute rabbit, and it was very bony. It tasted great, but was quite a bit of effort to eat. i liked it, but you may not. Did I somehow forget to tell you all that Little Dragons is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Columbus??? (I guess I did) But listen y'all, it's really good. I'm not, by any means, a Chinese food expert. I like a decent amount, but I often find that a lot of the take out options around here are not that great. But Little Dragons affordable and super flavorful. Plus, they're one of very few places that can adequately kick up the heat level in a manner that I enjoy. We went there for Sunday buffet. It's not overall surprise me. Food are definitely very authentic, love their spicy fish, soybean milk and other dim sum. I've been in Columbus 18 years and this is the Best Chinese I've had in Columbus. If you order what we ordered and don't like it mmm..... you need to stick with 'mark pi' and fried rice. The pork is dry fried and I can see/taste green chili, onions, Szechuan peppercorn, and garlic in it. The Chinese Broccoli is simple with garlic, salt pepper and cooked crunchy. Just like I like my vegetable. Fried fish with chili is just that. Fried fish with chili. Unlike other fried fish that tend to be 50 percent batter this fried fish has very little batter. Mostly fried fish. We also had a country style tofu, which was more American Chinese. That was great too. I might not have all the dishes named right so see picture and ask the waiter about it. Service: I had no problem with it. Very honest, hardworking people giving it there best and that is all that matters to me. Owner saw we were talking to the waiter and came and said hello to us.
