High quality haircut, I was pleasantly surprised! My usual barber was booked up and I needed to get a trim before an upcoming interview. Supercuts did a great job with the basic men's cut. At $16.99 I thought it was a little by higher than the usually price for a simple men's cut, but I was very pleased with the result. I will probably come back in the future! read more

Here's the dealio. I'm giving 5 stars because my stylist Yvette is one of nicest and coolest person I've met and deserves the world. I rarely see people as nice as her. NOW. I'd give One star because as I was walking up the stylist next to Yvette gave this look like "come on dude we close soon don't walk through the door" it was 4:27pm when I checked in (I know the look when gave because I used to do the same when I was a server, then as I check in rudely she states that there are people on the list who aren't here and if they get here they get their hair cut first. The lady that cut my hair (Nina) did the opposite of what I asked and left me wanting to literally cry because of how messed up my hair was, she was also very rough. I have been needing a haircut for about six months. I am cheap and lazy and it's getting so hard just to find somebody who will cut your hair. No I don't want a scalp massage. I don't need champagne or wine or the latest gossip. I don't need a waxing, well maybe 'don't want' is more accurate, and I don't want to try any of your products. I just wanted a haircut! And I didn't want to have to finance it at 29.99%. Finally, after two attempts at cutting my own hair, I decided to pay to get it cut. I went to Supercuts on East Riverside and I could not be happier. Mary sat me down as soon as I walked in the door and she cut my hair in about 15 minutes. I have spent a lot of money on my hair on at least two occasions in my adult life and, I can honestly say, I see no difference in the triple digit haircut against this low double-digit haircut. I am a very happy customer and I will be back. That might not sound like high praise but for somebody who has not had a haircut in...going on two years because I hate spending a lot on a mediocre experience, believe me, it is. read more

The follow-up to this situation is that I contacted the Supercuts corporate office and they identified this as an independently owned franchise. The owner contacted my friend and has responded with a partial refund and a credit for another visit for a haircut. I'm pleased that they acted quickly to correct this situation and do right by my friend, so I'm upping their rating to reflect their responsiveness and sincerity in making things right. Still not 5 stars because in a 5 star operation this would never have happened in the first place. 4 and 1 average to 2.5, which is about fair considering the trajectory it took to get to this point. read more

Absolutely shocked how rude one of the hair dressers was. After being less than 5 min late to my check in online time, she had knocked my name off the list. Long wait. And when I got my haircut the lady working on the first left station when you walk in was being rude. After my haircut I asked for her opinion if I should go shorter. She proceeded to give me and attitude, rolled her eyes put her hands on her hips and said it's up to you. A good barber always gives an opinion. Would not be going back. Update: You could also get a better cut at a smaller business for $12. And leave a decent tip and still come up shorter that the $16.75 they charge here for the regular cut. First and last time coming to this location. I had a simple haircut request but the lady apparently does not know how to listen because she BUTCHERED it. Ladies y'all know it can be so hard to fix a bad haircut especially when you're trying to grow your hair but it's still short. I had good hopes going in because they didn't have people waiting so they took me right in and the two other customers were happily chatting but it's not worth it when you don't get what you ask for. I was not greeted by anyone when I first arrived. I sat down but then walked up to the desk. The lady at the desk didn't even acknowledge me! Finally someone else walked in and was greeted warmly. The next customer after that one was greeted. The lady who finally took me Ana seemed polite. I'm happy with my haircut. Can't say enough of bad customer service ambience. I was on a cross country road trip in October and I needed a haircut. So I stopped into this Supercuts that was down the street from my Hotel. I walked in with no appointment and was greeted with a smile by Stylist Patricia. I was quickly seated and Patricia proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts of my life. I was happy in the beginning about this place when it was ran by Jessie but the new manager is rude and lacks customer service skills not only on 1 occasion but twice. I like Georgetta, Casey and the are great at cutting hair but when you have a manager that is rude it kind of gives you a second thought maybe I should not come back here. I always go into this location because the stylists listen to you and will make sure you love your haircut. But the same stylist obviously doesn't know the different between a blend and a high and tight. I can understand if I was still in the military coming in in my BDU's and asking for a high and tight. But I don't. When I am done I practically look bald and hardly have any hair on my head. She then proceeds to tell me that I have to explain what I want. Ummmm I did--I said I wanted a one on the side blended into the top. not that hard, I always say that. I grew my hair out because the last stylist said it would help to adjust the cut that this stylist did before. Its like you need to provide pictures to this lady so she understands what you want and don't want. Terrible service! I arrived 25 minutes before closing, and they originally said the could not give me a cut as they were closing soon (If I was a business owner, I would be questioning hiring people that would turn down paying customers for the sake of closing 5 minutes late). Then one of the staff said it's ok she would do it, take a seat. There were only 2 people in the store and 3 staff members. After waiting for her to finish with her customer, she then said actually she could not cut my hair as there was another guy already waiting that she did not realize, so I had to leave. No apology, nothing. I have been here before and it's ok if you just need an easy cut (their skills are basic and anything other than a basic fade they do not have the skills to do). Honestly, I would advise paying a little extra for a place which has good service and hairdressers that take pride in their work. Will not be going back here ever. Disgusted. read more
