Picked this SuperCuts because needed cut, saw good reviews, and when I walked in store, understood why. Was so pleased to see Amanda who did a fabulous job cutting and styling my hair. About 14 years ago, I walked into a Supercuts and she was the first one who understood and could give me a word to use for the style I wanted. It was so fun seeing her and to know she oversees the several Supercuts in our area. I would definitely come back to this Supercuts or Art who works at the Supercuts at LaCosta and El Camino Real. read more

When from minute one when I walked in the door with an online reservation to the 15 minutes after when I walked out the door, I never received a single courtesy of acknowledgement or communication of any kind. Poor, poor customer service. read more

A month later............ and my coulor and cut are just awful. Don't waste your money and you will spend a lot of $$$$. I paid a ridiculous sum of money for highlights that the visible eye can't even see. Then there is the haircut, so bad that no amount of product can help. read more

After almost every haircut I've ever gotten my whole life I have been disappointed somehow. But today when I came to this supercuts location for the first time I received one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten! I had the hairdresser Christine, I think her name was, and she was so nice and actually listened to how I specifically wanted my hair cut! She did exactly what I wanted and I love it! I have never written a Yelp Review in my life , but the terrible haircut I got today needed a review. The woman the cut my hair SHOULD NOT be cutting hair. She obviously did not know what she was doing. I asked for angled bangs that blend into my longer hair but instead I got bangs that start at my chin and go straight across all the way back to my earlobes. I look like I have a mullet, and now the only way to fix it is if I get my hair cut very short. read more

I have two major complaints that are specific to this location. The haircuts are rushed and no time or effort is taken to create a clean cut with blended transitions. I've also tried making an appointment for my last 3 haircuts here and each time the appointment is either pushed back by 20-30min or a friend of one of the stylists will sneak in. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have been growing out my hair for 2 years. It was down to the bottom of my ribs. Older Asian woman asked what I wanted. I said 2/3 of an inch trim or less and some face framing layers. What does she do? She cuts my hair so short it goes HALFWAY DOWN MY BREASTS. She turned me away from the mirror and when she turned me back to see the cut I just about cried. She said "it long, it just look short". Made the mistake of coming here today. Called in ahead to put my name down and was told I would be scheduled for 3:30 PM. I arrived at 3:20, checked in to a packed waiting area to enjoy my 35 minutes wait to get a 7 minute haircut. I don't mind waiting if a place is busy but the next incident is what propelled this place to the bottom of the ratings scale. A male hair stylist called my name and introduced himself and showed me to my seat. While I was placing my purse on the hook, a male patron walked through the door (keep in mind the place is still packed). The male stylists sees the male patron and immediately and awkwardly says "Oh uh he called in.." I proceed to just stand there because I don't want to make this any easier for him. He then says "One of the girls is wrapping up and will be able to help you shortly". I say "ok" and proceed to sit back down and wait a few more minutes, while he chats ups his old pal/client. Remember I called in too, was 10 minutes early, waited over 35 minutes only to be shoved aside when a "regular" walks in. I don't need to be a VIP at Supercuts, I mean we are talking about $20 haircuts, but I do expect to be treated with an ounce of decency. 1 Star for the lady who cut my hair, it turned out okay. read more

I took my daughters to Supercuts yesterday for a simple trim. The receptionist asked me if I had ever been to Supercuts and I replied "no, this is my first time here." She offered me a stamp card and then the girls had their hair washed and cut. One daughter finished first with a wet head, I asked the stylist to dry it. She quickly said "sure, no problem". A couple minutes later they were done and I went to pay. The receptionist said "$67 please". WHAT? I questioned the total and said there must be a mistake because the price chart says kids under 10 = $13.95 each. I was quickly informed that a hair wash is $2 more. Then I was told that each segment of hair was $5 to dry. As I told the staff at Supercuts, I felt very deceived with the price because I was never told that each service is a la carte. They had several easy opportunities to either inform or remind me of the additional cost per service and they failed to do so. The money is a secondary issue to the problem of them not being up-front about the price structure and especially to a new customer. I went to Supercuts because it was economical and my girls just needed a simple trim. Had I known it would have cost more than their regular place, I wouldn't have made the decision. I left upset and then came back to talk with the receptionist and manager. My hope was for them to understand their poor customer service and prevent another person from going through this. I explained how and why I was upset about the situation and was asked what I wanted them to do about it. I simply said "an apology would be nice". I did receive an apology and then the manager gave me $10 off, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, a lack of communication and customer service skills has left a very negative impression. The haircut was fine, but for the total cost of a wash, cut and dry - there are plenty of other, nicer options. read more

Very friendly experienced stylists. Have been coming here for a few years. It can get busy so calling in the morning to make a same day appointment or geting there close to opening is recommended. Reasonable prices, and they don't overly push to buy other products like some salons do. read more

You know, Supercuts haircuts can be average or even great, but when you waste my time and my family's time, you will lose my business, even if I live a half mile away and your location is conveniently located. We had a 4:30 appointment for my son right before my daughter's 5:30 birthday dinner reservation. We arrived at 4:20. It was 4:58 by the time she actually started on my son's hair. Yes, we were late to my daughter's birthday celebration. Attitude of the staff was a smirk and a "so sorry". Seriously. You had my phone number when I scheduled. Not even a phone call to warn me in advance- I could have diverted to another location. Trust me, every neighbor in Bressi Ranch will know our experience shortly, with or without Yelp. read more

I went in to simply get a normal haircut. My Stylist was Torie, She did a HORRIBLE job. Very unprofessional, rude and didnt really seem like she knew what she was doing. Right when i walked in the door I got a very bad vibe from all the employees. it took 20 minutes for Torie to get ready and there was no one else in the entire place! no wonder they dont have any customers!! After she finished my hair looked terrible and i asked her if she could fix certain areas, she replied with "No, I have other clients waiting." I didn't understand because there weren't any people waiting and all the other employees were just standing around. Unacceptable. I geuss Torie is too used to giving kids and older folks simple haircuts when she can't even handle a good looking guy with beautiful, complex curly hair. Someone needs to go back to Oceanside School of Beauty for a few more years until she can handle working in a very mediocre shop like SUPERCUTS. I would not trust any one of these employees cutting my kids hair! read more

I called ahead to see if Irena was working and reserved my time with her. She saw me right on time from the reservation. I needed a trim and didn't want to pay the $60 at my salon. Irene gave me the best cut i have ever had! my husband was the one that noticed. She listened to what i wanted, took her time, washed, blow-dried, and straight ironed my hair and it was still cheaper than my place that i go. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! I brought my daughter in for a hair cut, we didn't have an appointment and there was about a 20 minute wait, not a big deal. However, one of the stylists there had her daughter there (maybe 2 years old), the mom was doing hair and her daughter was running all over the place. The other stylists were leaving their customers in chairs stopping her from going outside, telling her to play nice with a customer's son etc. The poor receptionist was asked to change her diaper (not her responsibility) so it took away from her as well as the other stylists that left their customers to control her daughter. There was an older gentleman waiting to be as well and he was irritated as well. There was a time the little girl was running around the salon screaming, and her mom did nothing about it. I have kids of my own, so I understand if a sitter cancels on you at the last minute if that was the case, but try to figure something else out. I will not go back to this location if I go back to a Supercuts at all. Sad because I liked Cristina. read more
