I called ahead and made an appointment for a same-day haircut. I arrived and there was one stylist that was cutting someone's hair and another person was in the back getting a color. After sitting down I had asked are there more stylist? Because I do have an appointment. After waiting for over 30 minutes with little recognition to the fact that I have been waiting for 30 minutes I decided to leave. There was another stylus that came out from the back but she did seem very disinterested in helping since she had a client already. Don't make appointments for times that you are not able to keep. This was my second time coming here, was hoping to make it one of my main places to get my hair cut however unfortunately have had a bad experience here. First off they had a new hire which they assigned to cut my hair. It seems I was the Guinea pig as a new customer and later on the lady had another lady take over cutting my hair. (Simple men's cut). The 2nd lady totally cut my hair way to high in the sides and totally off from why I indicated I want, so at the end I had a bad haircut that was totally awful. A few days later I checked my credit card and found they over charged me by almost double the mount of a regular haircut. So I got a bad haircut and got overcharged for it as well. I wish my experience was better but unfortunately I guess they treat new customers as Guinea pigs. I am always afraid to going somewhere new to get a haircut because not all stylist would understand what I want. Jenny cut my hair and she was extremely honest. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she explained that my hair is not as thick as the photo shown so that managed my expectations. I told her to surprise me and to make me look nice, not like I tried to cut it myself for a Tik Tok post. Jenny exceeded my expectations!! She gave me a face framing cut and cut it in a way where it made my hair look thicker than before! I've gone here a handful of times. My hair is long with bangs and simple to cut. I mostly come here for trims, nothing drastic. I've had good haircuts from all the people that work here. I just had a not-so-pleasant lady that was beyond condescending work on my hair once. I'm good about getting my hair trimmed regularly, minimally take heat to it, have never dyed it. This is how the conversation with her went: Lady: How much did you want it cut? Me: About an inch. Lady: Oh, really? An inch isn't going to take care of your dead ends, how about 6? (My thoughts: How about you do what I ask because I'm paying you? And no way in hell do I have 6 inches of damaged effed up hair). Lady: Oh honey, do you know what heat protectant is? Me: Yes, I have the Garnier Fructis one. Lady: Oh, well, there's no point in just buying it to keep on your dresser. (My thoughts: RUDE and presumptuous because I do use it.) Lady: Did you know your bangs grow unevenly? (My thoughts: Did you know that I don't give a shit?) Really though, avoid the fat chick with Barney purple tipped hair (I think they're hot pink now). I only gave one star so I could write this review .Otherwise no star for TARA.I've took my child to this salon today so she could get a basic Bob style hair cut, nothing complicated, nothing special.Well at least for us....First cut took half an hour which is a decent time .BUT ,even though we showed her the picture of the hair my daughter wanted,she couldn't cut it.She was too afraid of cutting the hair.After half an hour ,she said "Here go ,how does it look",I couldn't believe she was actually done.She cut too little ,nothing was noticable.Both ,my daughter and I couldn't accept the new hair,then she agree to try it again.It took another half an hour.BUT ,even the second cut was too long.I was hoping that she would nail it for the second time since we were asking for a basic style ,but she couldn't do it..We thanked her and proceeded to the payment.I know the kids hair fee is less than the adult ones.BUT she charged us more ,same as adult fee.I paid it anyway.I've called the salon today again and asked them how much they would charge for kids,they told me X amounda which was less than what I paid... Did TARA charge me more for her incompetencies!!!!Why why why!!! I left a tip for her.BUT I regret leaving her a tip so much I hope that when she spends my tip,she would have an awful experience like I got somewhere else. I don't ever write yelp reviews unless it's a must!!! This was my first time taking my son to this supercuts location, usually I take him to the one in San Dimas(literally the best location ever). I took my 18 month old son in for a haircut, called 1 hour ahead and still waited about 20 min(which I didn't really mind) however the girl who cut my sons hair cut his neck. My son sat on my lap and she didn't even drape me knowing all his hair would end up all over my clothes and shoes. She was so impatient and just did a messy job and ended up CUTTING his neck. Regardless if she's experienced or not, everyone knows when you're dealing with kids patience is key! ANYWAYS, my son of course started crying/screaming and all she did was get him a warm towel to wipe all the hair off his face and neck and proceeded to the register. I don't really know why I paid I was just so upset I couldn't even look at her face. Never coming back here again, I'm still so mad. read more

Okay, I get it. People that cut hair at these places aren't the greatest otherwise they would work at a real salon where the money is. That being said, I'm done here. It's always the same. People don't follow instruction. Tonight, I bit my tongue because I didn't want to make the woman cry. I probably should have let loose. When one says, "trim", it means trim. Not run clippers everywhere. Also, who the hell runs clippers over somebody's eyebrows without asking??????? The woman cutting my hair never STFU. The entire time, blabbing and blabbing about her kids and family. I don't care! If you can't shut up to hear instruction, you deserve to be working at Supercuts. This "stylist" and I use that term extremely lightly asked THREE times "square or rounded". I assume she didn't hear me answer the first two times because she couldn't close her trap. If you're in Chino Hills, you must AVOID Supercuts at all costs. Try Pro Clips or Sport Clips if you must get a quick cheap cut in the area. Supercuts Chino Hills is filled with incompetent hausfraus without a clue. The one in Chino on Central is a little better. read more
