Manolo Grove in coconut grove, it's a small studio with that at home feel. With only 3 chairs for clients to have hair cut in, you feel safe and appropriately distanced. They are staying safe for covid and wearing masks and wiping down the chairs and everything in between clients. Carlos is INCREDIBLE. My highlights are absolutely flawless and the cut is to perfection. Appointment only and having a few hours for each appointment allows Carlos to focus on just you for as much time as needed until you're satisfied. I used the Groupon which was a great deal! Downsides: They don't accept credit card. Only Venmo and Zelle Parking: with construction and everything in coconut grove, it is really difficult to find parking. The closest VISIBLE garage Mayfair Garage is $18 for three hours and I went on a week day. It is REALLY hard to find. Better to google Venues in the Grove or the Blonde Tulip, which are across the street from the plaza in which Manolo is located. You go to the bottom floor, and it's in Suite 10. And a tip is that the closest garage is actually next to the Blonde Tulip (unsure the price) Because of the difficulty finding the place and parking, I give it 4 stars. Once I arrived, Ling and her assistant were alone, no other patrons in the salon (this should have been my 1st clue of what happened next). Although Ling was very talkative and took her time cutting my hair, it was ordinary- nothing exceptional (based on my experience with my French hair dresser who also taught how to cut hair in Paris). She didn't even blow dry my hair, she asked her assistant to blow dry it! Once I got ready to pay, Ling charged me $350.00 for just a wash and cut! She is not a transparent business owner, she never gave me a disclaimer of her outrageous pricing! I do not trust a business owner who is shady with pricing!
