    Very unpleasant staff and atmosphere. The entire shop smelled like stale cigarettes. Unprofessional attitude overall. Avoid at all costs.

    I called and set up an appointment on Saturday Feb 7. The woman who answered the phone said she…read moreherself could see me on Monday at 1:30. I was shocked that I could be seen so quickly! I had asked for my roots colored and highlights. Because I know how difficult it can be to get in so quickly I took a half a day at work and I headed over for my appointment at 1 PM. I arrived there at 1:20 , as I was taking off my coat, a woman behind the desk said to me "oh, don't take off your coat" I looked at her somewhat confused, where one of the owners (Mickey) walked behind the desk, never looked at me , she immediately put herself in front of the computer screen and said " your appointment has been cancelled ". She never made eye contact with me. Never stood up, no apology. Just kept repeating yes, your appt was cancelled this morning. I became very confused. I asked her why , she said the stylist is sick. You were sent a text message this morning. I Informed her I was never sent a text message my last conversation with the stylist. (linsey) had been on Saturday at 9:30 AM. I asked her if I could possibly and wait and She said no they were very busy. Which I absolutely understood. I asked her could I please make another appointment while I was there in which absolutely refused. This started to upset me. Why couldn't I make another appointment?! She told me again-the stylist would call me . (Its been weeks..no call.) I informed her I had never received a text message and if I had I absolutely would've responded to it!! Typically when they send you a message through texting you are to respond that you received it. (Reply C to Confirm) Never happened!! I even showed her my phone or tried to anyway, she never looked at me. I asked her to please verify my phone number. She insisted that I was sent a text message but would not let me see the screen showing that the message actually was sent to me. At this point I was pretty upset for a few reasons. One there was absolutely no apology, no understanding of my wasted time. I had chosen to take a half a day of work, I put one of my clients aside that cost me $175 , absolutely my choice I understand this, but had I received the message or somebody had taken the time to call me I would've continued to work thru my day. Clearly I showed up, I never was contacted and I believe they know this and instead of taking accountability just blew me off. As a small business owner myself, I found this to be so inappropriate. I don't know how they think that sending a text message to cancel an appointment is even appropriate especially not receiving a confirmation back. Somebody absolutely should've called me. The way it was handled was so inappropriate as well. There was no apology. Just very cut and dry. The stylist is sick. She will contact you. The only "I'm sorry" I heard was. "I'm sorry things happen, People get sick." Yes I know this. I would have understood this had they taken the time to contact me and cancel my appt!! No regret about the situation. Just very cold , unapologetic and somewhat rude actually. I sat in my car for 30 minutes in the parking lot extremely upset. Had I walked in and was met with an apology and understanding and even a "we are so sorry that this happened." Things would be very different. I was told the stylist will contact me -that's never happened. Today is March 22. My appointment was February 9. I wasn't even going write this review, but after all this time, it's still annoys me how the entire thing was mishandled. Also after speaking to the woman who actually colored my hair, she encouraged me to make this known , it wasn't right. Aside from this my appointment was a gift from my daughter . She prepaid this on a gift card for me. The last year has been a terrible one and Iv really neglected myself. My daughter wanted me to get my hair done and pay for this. I now have a $100 gift card I'll never use. Waste of her money and my time . Just so rude. Altho they're a great salon and their prices are affordable. they make mistakes just like anybody running a business does, and there has to be accountability !! To watch me walk out the door, knowing how upset I was, with no apology, they wouldn't even let me make another appointment which REALLY confused me. Nobody has since reached out to me, especially the stylist who made my appointment. We all get sick, I understand this. But it was her responsibility to contact me and cancel. I often wonder if any of her other clients that day were contacted?! Just not nice, a waste of my time and a very unpleasant somewhat embarrassing experience.
