Gloria was the best! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and I didn't need to do anything else. There was no wait in line (a first for me) and everything was done in a quick and orderly fashion. Gloria is the absolute hair saver! I got my haircut at a salon and it was completely uneven and a ridiculous amount of money! I went to Supercuts because I NEVER had a bad haircut or style by them. As soon as Gloria saw me she immediately knew how to save my hair and was super positive! Connie also was so positive as she did an amazing color on a beautiful client! DO NOT GO TO SUPERCUTS. IT IS A RIPOFF AND THE QUALITY IS TERRIBLE I wish I could give a ZERO star review - I am ridiculously upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They advertise that blow-dry costs $9.99 and up, so I figured it would be an affordable option. Boy was I wrong. The stylist said it would cost $30 because my hair is longer, and that $9.99 is for people with pixie cuts. This was more expensive than I was expecting, but I agreed. The stylist washed my hair, shampooed and conditioned it. Then she blow dried it normally, without using a round brush or curlers...I could have done the SAME thing in my house!!!! That is NOT salon quality. She applied a little leave in conditioner and serum, but no hair spray. So my hair style will not last more than 1 day!!!!!!!!!! What is the point if I'll need to get a blowout again soon?????? :( Afterward I went to pay, and the bill said $37!!!!! I asked what the additional $7 were for, and she said it was for the hair wash. Why did she not explain this initially??????? This was a complete surprise and I wasn't informed that wash would be an additional cost. How does this place stay in business???????????? Don't get me started on the facilities with hair all over the ground, cheap quality combs, and limited products that are being shared by the stylists. When I go to "fancy" salons, it costs $40 for a wash, haircut, blow dry combined!!!! The products are very high quality and leave your hair smelling amazing with wonderful hold. My blowouts last 2 weeks! The salons are super clean and chic, with beautiful decor, chandeliers and artwork. And the stylists give you tea with cookies to enjoy...Very relaxing! They even hang up your jacket and put your purse/belongings in a nice drawer. There's a lot of bad reviews here which would normally deter me from going to any place, however I think some people are just nuts and can't ever be satisfied; like the guy who was angry because he showed up 30 minutes before they closed and was mad he couldn't get a haircut because there were already two more people ahead of him. It's a Supercuts; it's a no appointment needed , concierge place to get a haircut. It's not going to be some high end spa like place. If that's what one is looking for, find one of those salons. They're everywhere. Any time I go to a Supercuts, I usually have a decent experience, the one in Fairfield is great. So is the Westport one as well. Super Cuts is known to be a "chop shop". Well I found that out when I had a haircut in Fairfield. They did a horrible job and I have to go somewhere else to have my hair fixed. I give them only a 1-star rating because she actually cut the back of my hair in a straight line. I do not recommend going to Supercuts in Fairfield or any other city or state they are a Chop Shop and that's no joke. I have never had such a rude hair stylist in my entire life. She didn't even say hello when I first sat down. Instead, she kept complaining to her colleague about work. Then, she got very annoyed because I confused the terms bob and angle. This is all before she even picked up the scissors. She was so annoyed that I asked for someone else. Best case scenario? It is satisfactory. This girl in Trumbull, CT ( I am here for work) was efficient, paid attention instead of blabbing about her life story. And with just very little advice from me about my hair? Did a perfect job. For 15.95. So what the HELL is Corbett Salon and all the rest charging for? I honestly want to know. This cut fits my personality. The slenderness of my face....and is a simple daily fix. I hope she is there in 6-7 weeks because I will go back! I'll bet if she worked for Bumble and Bumble? I am not one to frequently write reviews, but I felt a compelled necessity to write one for this business. First of all, I had arrived 35 minutes prior to closing on a Saturday- I've arrived at other Supercuts 20 minutes prior to closing without any hitch. I politely asked if I needed to sign in, and received a curt "we're closed" as a reply . After informing them there's still 35 minutes left, the blonde younger woman who was the stylist raises her voice towards me telling me she has two people left, I physically cannot do it, it's impossible for me to etc . Her pugnacious and bellicose attitude shocked me greatly , and it's not something I had ever experienced at a business like this until this visit. I tried to ask if there was any way possible, even saying that I would be glad to tip extra if it were possible. She continued talking to me in a callous manner; by that point I basically told her I would be going to SportClips up the road for good from now on, because I have always been treated well at this establishment . Watch out for their ostensible "closing time" it is clearly a misnomer and fallicously written, even if you arrive a good 35-40 minutes early. It should also be noted that there was a woman directly infront of me while attempting to procure a haircut who fortuitously had no trouble getting one for her son- she had been discussing the price for a normal haircut vs one with a shampoo. Well that was again until I was right behind her, since I was treated like pure rubbish. read more

I got my hair cut there a week ago. I asked for a low taper on the sides and the top shortened. The lady shaved the side of my head to the top, left my hair long on top, and in hindsight she never showed me the back of my head. Easily the worst hair cut I've ever received. Don't ever try to go here within their last posted hour of being open. On Saturday my boyfriend and I stopped in twenty minutes before the posted closing time (with the open sign hanging in the window) and were told they were done for the day. Thinking it a one time issue, I tried again tonight, a Tuesday, where they are clearly listed as being open until 9. They should change their posted hours. They stop accepting customers 45 min to an hour before they close. Wasted my time on several occasions. If you want to stop accepting customers at a certain time, then THAT should be your close time. Don't put OPEN on the sign, when all your really doing is sweeping the floor and chatting with your friends for an hour. read more

My husband had a horrible experience in this salon back in October, it was so unpleasant he refused to go back! Today he returned with me and had a wonderful experience with a stylist named Zuria. Although I tried to explain to her the reason for us not returning I felt very disrespected by a stylist I believe is the manager named "Tina". She had a I don't care attitude & a very unpleasant demeanor. Rudely interrupting my conversation with the stylist and attempting to belittle me as well! I don't feel this facility is benefiting from having "Tina" representing "Super cuts", without customers or with bad word of mouth of how we are treated I'm sure others will not want to return to this salon! I really hope that this matter is looked into, it's the 2nd unpleasant experience my husband and I have had at this salon. So I went back to have Gloria correct it and she got so defensive and started making up things to try to blame it on me that I told her to cut it that way. Not true. Yes she fixed it and admitted it was not even. The cut is better but it is still NOT right and I won't go back a third time, especially because of her reaction. There is definitely a language barrier. Bummer for me. Need to go and get it recut somewhere else. I don't like writing negative reviews, but with the rude treatment I received, I frankly couldn't not write one. Just as the stylist (I think her name was Brittany?) was starting to part my hair to cut it, she declared loudly that my hair color was the ugliest she's ever seen and continue on. Now, hold on-- I get that I dye my hair at home and it's not the perfect shade of blond, but there are actually people who have that color of hair in real life. And to tell a client that her hair is a downright ugly color? I let her continue because she had already started cutting my hair and I needed a trim, but I proceeded to be friendly, because at that point, I was half afraid she was going to just go and shave my head. Somone gave me a gift card to the place so I had to use it. So I thought who could screw up a highlight I should just give it a shot. I reminded the girl to make sure it's not streaky and looks blended to my color. And every single second I was thinking I shouldn't have came. You sign in and then she does not call you in the order you signed in. I'm not one to write a bad review, but I am appalled at the lack of customer service skills instilled in their staff. Went in for a hair leveling and was completely insulted by the hair stylist. First of all, they take my hair out of a bun and go "Wow, thats bad" or something along those lines (one girl said it, the other stared from the seat next to us). She insisted that she cut 2 inches off of my hair, to which I refused as I am trying to grow my hair out and tried to think of another option to even out my hair which has been growing in un-even. Understandably, she is a hair stylist and knows what she is talking about and I respected that. But when I suggested other things she told me that no, that would not work, it would make my hair look like a "mullet". Not very subtle. She might as well have just called me an idiot as that was VERY clearly what she and the other girl who was watching us were thinking. Then, to show me what it would look like if we did what I suggested, she quickly and not carefully snipped one side of my hair. We were still having a discussion about what to do! She totally jumped the gun and then I got out of the chair and paid before anything else happened. As a paying customer, I felt really disrespected. This isn't the first time I've been in there, each time I've regretted my decision to try it again (not because of the haircuts -usually) but because of the attitude of the staff. I've returned to that establishment out of sheer convenience but I've finally learned my lesson and will never return.
