Somehow while multitasking her managerial duties at this busy Supercuts, she also was able to focus on me as a client, which was not easy given my impulsive decision to chop off my elbow length hair and go with a super short cut. She is so talented and knowledgeable. I am sincerely grateful for her and hands down recommend her, especially if you're deciding to completely change your look. If you can't get Michelle trust that the other stylists working keep open communication between each other. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT! Every salon I have gone to has stylists working at different levels and when no one talks to each other, it is always a bad sign. I booked an appointment time for 2:40, arrived, and was told that had to wait 30 minutes because of 2 walk ins. When I asked what the point of booking an appointment and checking in online was, she said, "That's a good question, I dont know. I just work here and they said I have to take walk ins." I made two appointments for my two children at 3:40pm, and 4:00pm. We arrived promptly at 3:40pm and were asked if we checked in. Two women were working. I replied that we had appointments and after a couple seconds the woman at the registered found us and said "oh good" and then she mumbled something about finishing up two other customers. My children and I sat and waited for an hour. A few other customers came in and received haircuts. I assumed they had prior appointments, but no one communicated with us. In the meantime a man came in and asked if he could make an appointment. While he was thinking about it, the woman at the register asked him if he wanted to be put in or not. When he didn't answer immediately, she rolled her eyes and said she had to pick up her kid. At this point, I realized, she was leaving and only one person would be left at the salon. It was now 4:45pm. (More than an hour after we arrived.) I asked if it was customary to wait an hour past an appointment time, and the same employee said, "Oh we're really behind and someone else was supposed to come in." Then she asked the other employee, "Right?" The other employeed said, "No." I said," we will have to cancel our appointments", and the same employee who rolled her eyes, said, "Sorry about that." Her tone of voice was not apologetic, and honestly felt very disrespectful/sarcastic. My kids were disappointed that they never got their haircut, so unfortunately, the stylists might have done a wonderful job, but we will never find out due to the horrible customer service. I was visiting parents at home when I decided to get a spontaneous trim to fix my uneven layers (long story!). My previous hair cut was a few months ago and I wasn't too happy with the end results of choppy and uneven layers. I waited a few months to let it grow before considering another cut, and opting to go to a place in Pennsylvania instead of Washington this time. I am so happy with my decision because Danielle at Supercuts was awesome! She took the time to listen to me as she assessed my hair and suggested a few things to improve the texture and style. Her work and skills speak for themselves as my hair looks soooo much better. Tried to get my hair cut at 3pm on a Thursday. There was only one person getting their hair cut and no one waiting but me. First thing I was asked was "do you have an appointment?" I pointed to the text at the door that says "No Appointment Nessasary" and said no, I didn't think I needed one. I was told there were completely booked up and they couldn't help me. I wasn't even given the opportunity to wait. I was told to come back tomorrow. I won't be back ever. read more

It was nice place, but the cashier was having a 15 minute conversation with someone else and when I approached to check in she literally yelled at me to sit down and that she would get to me when she was done. I usually have a good experience here but todays staff was awful. I understand when there is a wait and patiently will wait until it is my turn. however after 1 hour and 20 minutes i watched two stylist take two people that came after me and 1 that walked in and mentioned he was there earlier that day. perhaps he already had a place in like but the other two make no sense. i was also there for quick buzz cuts for boys. wouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes. we walked out and don't plan on ever returning. even through the whole experience never once did the stylist give any idea is who was up next or what the order was. terrible experience. read more

Came in asking for a low fade. Left looking like a kid out of boot camp. The lady that was doing my hair didn't understand how to do a skin fade, so she kept creeping up the side of my head until I literally had a high and tight. The large white lady that worked here between 6-6:50 was seriously the worst hair cutter I've ever met in my life, and she needs more training before she screws up more people's hairdo. The face that I paid $15 to mess up my hair makes me cringe. Avoid this place like the plague, even for the simplest of haircuts. Update: they fully refunded me. Just got my hair cut today by lil Kelly. She did a really nice job and would definitely go to her again. I've never been to super cuts to get a hair cut. Mostly I've been to costly hair salons and I'm impressed! Will be back. It wasn't busy all all. I walked right in and sat down but did reserve a time online prior to my session. Blow dry both our hair why not?dripping wet and choked up w the blow dry charge !!! WTH. Hair was cut unevenly and overall I was not impressed at all by my haircut. They do a great job with both boys. Especially the younger one who hates haircuts and squirms everywhere. I've been going here for the last year or so and I have to say that Michelle is the best! I had no idea that a Supercuts stylisyt could do bayalage, ombre or any of the other pricey salon services. The best part is they are not pricey!!! I will never go to an expensive salon again and spend over 200 dollars on my hair. Michelle has experience and she takes the time to listen to what you have to say about how you want your hair. She is a professional and knows her stuff so you are in good hands. She did a bayalage look for my hair and I absolutely love it. I have gotten so many complements on my new look. She even styled it for me and showed me how to do it myself. I have been there at least 6 times..first time it was the girls last day and she took a chunk of my bangs off all the way to the hairline, next time I went in ( she had left) I found a great girl..she wasn't there long...went out to a better place in Glen Mills...next one anything I asked her to do she didn't and whatever I asked her not to do she did....Is there anyone in the Havertown Salon who knows how to cut short hair ...and give it style...or can they only cut one style..doesn't seem as if any of them have any imagination or talent to me.I would love to give it a try again..it is so convenient to me and I've been ill off and on since August...but seems I always have to get it fixed and pay someone else...to fix it. read more

Got my haircut on recommendation today for the new location on Township Line Road. Michael, 24, cut my hair. I told him I wanted a few inches off, just the dead stuff, and a "v" shape down my back. My hair is 3/4 of the way down my back. I showed him a photo. He said "no problem". I told him I'd just washed my hair and he said "either I spend the next hour wetting it or I just wet it under the faucet". I said, Ok, faucet is fine, no wash. He ended up washing it anyway, which I never asked for, I just thought he was wetting it. He then proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes combing my straight hair: unnecessary. He then, over the next HOUR AND A HALF, took the most time I've ever seen a single haircutter EVER cut my hair. It was as if I were the POTUS or something and a single hair out of place would cause him instant death. As it turned out, my hair is unevenly cut in THREE places: there's an inch wide chunk in the back that's not the same length, there's a piece in the front that is not the same length and my left and ride side in the front are uneven by at least an inch. It's absurdddddddddddd. I've never had a problem with Supercuts in my life and I like the one in Ardmore consistently. I came here on recommendation specifically for Michael. Unbelievable. I am never coming back. I have straight hair that is long and one length and took forever to grow out. I told him I had an important interview for a big job in two days and now I have to deal with this shit. I'd demand a refund but then I'd have to go back and that's a pure absolute waste of time. He seems like he had no idea what he was doing even though he claims he's been cutting hair for 2 and a half years. I'd like a refund but I'm not going back. Almost two hours for a haircut I have nothing to show for and on TOP of all that he took off more than I wanted (he took 5 inches, I asked for 3.5) and he charged me for the wash which he never told me he was doing and I never asked for. No thanks, Supercuts. You can do better. read more

MIchelle just gave me the best hair cut and color I have had in the past ten years!! She has a wonderful personality and took a lot of time and care with me. She took the time to explain the the color choices and also the type of shampoo she would be using so my color would be soft. Such a soothing scalp massage -- i could have taken a nap.
