Bertha was highly recommended by my mother. i went in for a full color and a cut that was much needed. she was incredible. conversation was flowing and i was so impressed with my cut and color. Bertha chose my color and i am not disappointed. She also had time to give my grandma a cut as well. She had people come in left in right for her and she was quick. Only giving 1 star bc that's the lowest. I've given this place many chances and each time it's something. Not only have they messed up my hair and my daughters but today I walked in just to get my hair styled. Was wanting to flat iron my hair as I have before at other salons. I asked for just that and the lady said she doesn't do that. It states on the board with services that that is one of the services they offer. Either blow dry, flat iron or curl starting at $15. The lady just straight up said no she doesn't do that. Then I said well what if I cut my hair too then can you flat iron my hair and she still said no. I don't understand. There was only one customer in the salon and he was getting his haircut by another employee. So it's not like there was a wait or anything , she just said she doesn't do that. Very annoying!!! If I could give 0 star I would. My mom went for a pixie cut style , and the hairstylist Reyna butchered her hair. Didn't blow dry or style knowing she messed up. I had to take my mom elsewhere to fix up the mess. Sad to say she is a nice person and did my hair fine the first time I went. If you can't cut a specific style, make up an excuse or be honest with customers. Reyna has good customer service but her work isn't good for certain hairstyles. read more

I took my cousin here for a haircut and she asked for long layers and not short layers and they have her short layers they don't even wash your hair before cutting it nor do they dust you at the end I have to take my cousin to the salon I go to to get it fixed.The layers she got from Supercuts were all butchered up and my cousin had a whole patch in the middle of her hair without layers it looked very bad. Arrived on a Thursday morning around 10:30 AM. There were three people waiting, and only ONE hairstylist. The woman that was in the chair was chatting away and laughing and having a great time but the stylist didn't acknowledge me waiting at the counter and didn't tell me how long the wait would be. I asked the others who were waiting how long they had been there and they said 30 minutes or more. I finally asked how long it would take to get to me for a haircut and the stylist said it would be a while because she was doing some special treatments/procedures for the lady in the chair. Apparently no one had an appointment so it's first come first serve, no matter what type of service you are wanting to get - a simple haircut or a two hour special request. Supercuts needs to have a minimum of TWO stylists working at all times. And the second one should not be allowed to take on anyone without an appointment that wants something that will take more than 30 minutes. There are plenty more haircutting establishments around Gulfgate so I don't know why anyone would use Supercuts and have to wait so long. I decided to go elsewhere, and I didn't have to wait at all and the prices were cheaper. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE with the girl with red hair who's average height coz I think there are two red hair girls in this salon. I asked her to cut hair as low fade and also shown her a picture. She literally finished cutting my hair within 8 minutes and handed me mirror. OMG I had never cut my hair so bad in any salon or barbershop. She just touched my edge of my hair and said- we'll cut low fade like this only! I was planning to take pictures and write a review right away but got stuck with something else. However I asked her to trim more and level up in descending order. LOL I literally looked like a JOKER in that haircut, my wife was so mad by looking at my haircut LOL. The staff is rude and unskilled. Go to Sports Clips. The moment my son and I walked in no one greeted us. Two older stylist were there on a slow Sunday and attempted to act so busy. Once they acknowledged us, one of the ladies advised us that they cannot complete a classic and basic taper fade. Super Cuts should be ashamed,... I have been looking for a place to cut my hair for the past year. Every salon had disappointed me so much that I feared getting my hair cut. I wanted something simple; a place that was good and had fair prices. I had heard super cuts was pretty cheap and decent so I decided to give it a try. I was a little worried at first since I came to the one in the Gulfgate area but decided to give it a try anyways and I am so happy that I did! I finally found the place to get my hair cut! I explained to Carolyn exactly what I wanted and how disappointed I was at all the other places! I showed her an actress that had the same type of hair style that I wanted and I got exactly that! Worst place to get a haircut. They have people with no training cutting hair . I took my daughter today to cut her hair and I told the girl twice clearly that I wanted only 3 inches cut and in a v shaped in layers. Well she kept cutting and cutting because she could not get the the hair cut right. I went and told her she was cutting to much and she said she had asked my 12 yr old if it was fine. So I went here to get a haircut just some bangs and then this lady asked me how short do you want it and then I told her I went it where my eye brows are about that length she sed ok but the cuts it wayyyyy higher then that and she used a huge chunk of my hair just for that and told us to pay her $15 like wtf I was so Pisedoff not cuse of the price but because she cute it like that. read more

This place is really clean, the staff is nice, but I think they are short staff. The only lady who was able to get my haircut took 40 MINUTES to get my little brothers haircut, which was a very small, normally 5-10 minute haircut, and it wasn't even done correctly.
