One stylist. Taking online appointments out of order. What should have taken me 10 minutes ended up taking an hour +. Do better!

Huge shout out to Robin. She is AMAZING. I have been through my share of stylists but she is absolutely my favorite. She even writes down what she did on a "cheat sheet" so when you return, you know exactly what to ask for. Never saw that before, and makes it so much easier! read more

I had made a reservation for half an hour before closing. I only need a #1 all over, so it's a few minutes in the chair. I was not able to get there until about five minutes before closing. Nonetheless they welcomed me and I was in and out a short time later; but only after an enjoyable experience with humor and as nice a haircut as one can expect with something so simple! read more

WARNING - Stay away from this place! Don't bother making an appointment because it doesn't matter at all. Stylists all look depressed and could care less about the customers. And they can't cut or style hair. Horrible experience. First and last time there. They deserve a 0 star rating. Please take my advice and go to a reputable salon or you'll also be sorry. read more

I can always count on Robin for a great cut and color! She also, consistently,r does a great job with my husband's hair and beard. I've never seen hair stylists work as hard as they do at North Haven Supercuts. They always do their best to get you in for an appointment. read more

I had an appointment for 2:45 almost an hour later I was still waiting to be seen. The hair dresser Tracy told me she was going to give two guys haircuts and then I would be next. Next thing I know Tracy and Vanessa have two girls who came in after me to sit in their chairs. Never coming here again. read more

I feel sorry for the stylists at Supercuts. The owners are so cheap that these poor kids have to wash hair, cut, sweep, clean, answer phones, take money, greet people, and clean their stations. Imagine someone doing your hair and constantly walking away to do other things. It is reflected in the quality of work and service. No wonder this shop changes stylists weekly. No one who cares about the work they do could stand it there for long. They try. To the owners--- make this shop a decent place to work and to patronize. I personally just get my haircut, no washing/blow drying/etc. I don't request a specific stylist. I always like how my hair turns out, and they are all very professional and friendly. They take appointments and walk-ins as well. read more

Got a haircut here recently that I was not happy with. My hairdresser was not very communicative and did not seem to regard my preferences for how I liked my hair to be cut. Seemed to be in a rush. Not sure if it was understaffed because she had to leave at one point to answer the phone and came back somewhat disoriented as if she had lost her place in what she was doing to my hair. If I could give it -10 star , I would. I see the other bad reviews & Im guessing its the same hairdresser, who should promptly give up her scissors. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience . Hair was destroyed by hairdresser who was also , amazingly, also the manager. Left salon with wet hair & didnt discover til I was at home. Went in with just below shoulders long thick hair & came home to a catastrophe. My regular hairdresser lost her job to Covid so went to Supercuts. I visited this location last month & had my hair done by Brenda & it came out great. I asked the new hairdresser to follow her cut, with long layers & trim 1 inch & not go beyond that. Should have been easy enough. I came home to the worst chop job I have ever seen. The layers on one side of my head is about 5 inches long from the top & the other about 9 inches from the top. I can just barely get it into clip, which is how Ill have to wear it for now. The back was just picked up & chopped straight across. Instead of the light layers that were there, the new ones were chopped into the thickness of my hair by about 3 inches leaving a thin layer of hair underneath This will take almost a year to grow out. I am beyond pissed. Upon filing a complaint, I spoke with the owner & she said that her hairdresser "ALWAYS gives good cuts & has NEVER received a complaint". I was also told that I was being " aggressive" when I was doing a great job of severely holding back my temper. Never once was I offered an apology. I guess its Ok for their employees to destroy your hair , but its NOT Ok for YOU to be pissed. And to mke matters worse, I was then told she could only refund $18 out of a $33 Bill which included $28 ( Wash,haircut) $5 (Tip) . I advised I wanted ALL of my money back. She then referred me to the East Haven branch for the refund. I ended up with $28 because the tip portion doesnt show on the receipt. So this hackster still got a tip. The manager at the E.H. location agreed that it was a terrible job & was only able to fix the back a bit. The rest was totally unreparable without going down to a short cut which I refused. I asked her to speak to the owner about this, as she was not empathetic at all with me. No apology or anything from the owner. Nothing. When you own a business you better make good to your customers. Its your business that is at stake. If you are there simply to collect the cash & care zero about customer experience, then go do something else. If I could go back 24 hours I would grab the chance. I now have to the expense and bother of purchasing hair extensions until my hair grows out, which I personally think the owner should pay for. My hair looks like a 5 year old was let loose with scissors. I could have done a better job myself. This person should NOT be allowed to cut another head in her lifetime. Since the owner thinks she's so great, apparently she's not going anywhere soon. If she were my employee, she'd be removed immediately. I called for an appointment over the phone today for 6:15 pm. The woman that answered said no problem, I'm just doing a blow out, no one else is here. I gave her my name, and she wrote it down. ( I assume) Then I said, 6:15 correct ? She said yes 6:15 no problem, see you then. I walked in and took my seat to wait at 6:00. At 6:30 it was ( I thought) time for my 6:15 appointment when the woman asked who' s next. I replied I am, I have a 6:15 appointment. The woman pointed at another customer and said she was here first. I asked how that could be as I have a 6:15 appointment and its 6:30. I was then told that appointments don't really matter. I then asked, Why make them. This apparently confused and dumbfounded the woman as she had no answer. read more

I went in to get a trim off of the top and a 2 on the sides and ended with this. It's a good thing I don't have anything important to do for the next couple of weeks. Not only is it the worst haircut I've ever gotten, but it took 45 minutes. read more

Supercuts - Hair Salons Near Me - North Haven, Connecticut

My hair was down to my forearms when I came in for a haircut. I told my hairdresser I wanted it cut to my armpit/mid upper arm. Clearly this meant below the shoulder. But for some reason, my hairdresser decided she wanted to cut 6 more inches off and now my hair is above the shoulder. Not much I could have done or said to stop her as she had already made the first snip. If you do come here for just a cut, make sure to tell them to cut it longer than what you want because they'll probably cut off more anyways. Or spend the extra money to go to a real salon. read more

My experience was great due to the excellent service I received from the Stylist, Levi. Through surgeries my hair has gotten thin from anesthesia. Levi cut my hair and styled it which not only made it look thicker but made me feel pretty. I am a repeat customer and will remain so. read more
