My friend recommended Nicole at Salon A. Honestly, best haircut I've ever gotten. It's been 3 weeks and I'm still getting compliments on it. Plus Nicole is super friendly, personable, and clearly knows what she's doing. The whole staff was accommodating and welcoming and the salon is tidy, with a small parking lot in the rear. I asked around and called a dozen different salons, and either the policies/reviews of individual salons seemed sketchy, or the price I was quoted was way out of my budget. I now consider myself very lucky to be living within walking distance of this excellent hair salon. Sara consulted with me in person when I walked in one day, and was able to book an appointment with me for today. I am delighted with the care she took with my hair throughout the whole service. She listened to my input, checked in with me every step of the way, and made me feel comfortable and at ease. She was a true professional, and a great conversationalist. I read other reviews of this establishment that criticized the owner for being anti-Muslim, so I was hesitant to give this place my business, but he did not make any offensive remarks to me while I was there. All in all, it was such a great experience for such a reasonable price that I will be coming back to Sara every time from now on.

She tried to send me out the shop with 3 on my head!!!! I explained to her that it was entirely too flat, and sparse. She said she'd fix them and still they looked atrocious. I just had to let them finish, and get up and go cause I was increasingly growing frustrated. If you want sparse, flat, super tight braids, then come here. The knots at the top of the braids are HUMUNGOUS!!!! There a completely flat and empty part in the top of my head!!!!! I am beyond livid. For $140 this place is a rip off!!!

Every time I come in for a haircut and color she surprises me with a new look and modern style. All the striking employees were banned from the salon and need to find new work. I was greeted, happily I might add, by the owner Crystal who my temp and all that. She pointed me where to sit and let me know stylist would be with me shortly. This seems ordinary but a lot of places you can hardly get a hello when you enter and they leave you just standing there looking dumb . I love that EVERYONE is super friendly and welcoming. Going to the salon should be a relaxing experience and I definitely got that in my visit. Shanae, the shampooer, put me on with some tips when she brought to my attention that my scalp had buildup. She offered (but didn't force me) a service that might be beneficial and her suggestion was exactly what I needed. She really took time with cleansing my hair and scalp-- I felt like I was floating when she was finished lol. She had her daughter call to cancel an appointment 30 minutes prior to my appointment 3 weeks ago. I have not heard from her since. She has no concern about a following. I went to kaitlyn at the Montgomery mall location. She was a saint to my African American hair and the manager Scott was very welcoming. I recommend Montgomery to all of my friends. Do not go if you're looking to get extension work done. I have had tape in extensions many times…read moreand put in by people who actually know how to do it correctly. At first Victoria did a good job a couple would show but I could hide it with my natural hair. The problem was she recommended shampoo that had sulfate in it which led to almost all of my tape ins slipping out. So I called back they agreed to a complimentary service to fix my hair. The manager was nice but I don't think she knew about these types of extensions either. She said they should only last a week! For $700 dollars they should last a month until they need to be moved up. Not only did Victoria not put in all the extensions that fell out she did a sloppy job. Thankfully I know how to do them correctly.
