My main stylist is Emily who is also the owner of the salon. I have been wanting to color my hair for a while & discussed a ton of different color options. We settled on reds & orange. For months before my appointment I shared inspo pics with her & she shared comments & suggestions. During my appointment she walked through the process with me & also gave tips for styling & color preservation. Not only did I learn from my appointment but she also took video & shared it so others could learn from it. I also had an appointment with her where I cut over 12 inches of hair off!! She really knows how to rock any style you are looking to do. Other stylists I have had here also are extremely talented. They also collaborate with each other so you will get the best results. The chairs at the bowl are very comfortable (no neck strain, ever!) and the heating element is mobile and comfortable to sit under. The booking process is also very clear and easy to use. Super helpful, outgoing and professional. Now for the rest of the experience, it has been challenging. There are employees that are standing around conversing and when I ask for help it's almost an inconvenience because it seems they want to get back to their socializing. I have asked a few times for items and just pointed to the direction they might exist, with the exception of Rachel and the Clinique personal. As I browsed through the store there were lots of tags on items, deals, discounts, and % off. The Clinique person said if I make a purchase I get a gift. Once I got to the counter and asked the clerk they said " oh that promotion ended yesterday". Every item I put on the counter I was told the same thing, the promotion ended yesterday we just haven't had a chance to change the tags. I ended up only getting one item that apparently was still on sale. The lip gloss I use was advertised as on sale for the minis. When I brought the person to the display she looked it up and said they don't carry minis. Very disappointed. I also tried to return an item with another employee, but it was too late to return. The clerk never looked at me, I complimented their hair, they said they just got it done. I could not tell you the persons eye color because they kept their head down, didn't engage and I felt like I was an inconvenience. It was obvious that the salon was in the middle of redecorating and that someone had filled holes in the drywall and was preparing to paint. No worries- every building needs that at some point. Once my haircut started, some guy comes out of the back room, climbs a stepladder and starts sanding the drywall! No vacuum, no moisture to knock down the dust. It didn't take long for the gypsum to irritate my throat and lungs- I began to have coughing fits despite my best efforts to stay still and quiet. Didn't really help. My stylist offers to get me a glass of water, which I gladly agree to. She walks away and is gone for longer than I'd expect. When she eventually reappears, the manager is behind her... no water, just a single cough drop that she thrust at me with a sour look on her face. I thank them for the 'effort'. For the next five minutes, the manager makes multiple loud (enough for the entire store to hear) snotty comments about how she "can't stand the coughing and why doesn't it stop?" The cough drop hardly made a difference in my fits as the drywall dust continued to blow through the back of the salon where my chair was. Holy smokes Felecia, maybe don't do remodeling during business hours? I should have confronted her then and there, but just wanted to get out of the dust storm that continued to worsen.
