This time was completely different. Paige double-booked another client and had her assistant handle most of my appointment. The assistant was extremely rough while washing my hair even after I repeatedly asked her to be gentle. She seemed annoyed that I said something and actually handed me the brush and said "do you want to brush it?" I shouldn't have to explain the same thing twice to her assistant when I already paid for a consultation to make sure this wouldn't happen. Paige barely checked in, didn't review my foils before they were rinsed, and my hair came out yellow and orange instead of the cool blonde I asked for. I didn't even get to choose the toner or discuss the results before being told by the assistant to pay. I also asked for thicker highlights and ended up with baby lights that looked uneven in tone. I walked out in tears and paid $265 for results that look like I used a bottle of Sun-In at home. I'm beyond frustrated and will not be going back. Letting an inexperienced assistant take over while charging full price is completely unacceptable.

My previous hair cut at a different salon ended up being layered, even after I had mentioned I didn't want layers, so it was nice to feel listened to and not pressured. The salon was pretty quiet when I was there, it was just the two of us, so a little background music would have been nice but we mostly chatted the entire time anyway. Also note that as of December 2022 the pricing on the website differed from the pricing on the scheduling site, but my haircut was still only $40 before tip, which is cheaper than other places I've gone in the past.
