This SuperFresh location has far superior produce to the one in Bloomfield. They also offer better holiday specials which is much appreciated in this time of high food costs (ie: spend $150 get a small turkey or pork shoulder vs. Bloomfield location where you must spend $300 at one time to get a small Turkey.) The store has a great range of international goods. Country upon country, aisle upon aisle, not half an aisle. There is a small liquor store too to reduce stops. read more

I'm giving them 5 stars because of the variety of international foods. The store is very clean, the fish section is well maintained and everything looks fresh. I would not be at this store if I wanted regular stuff you can get at any supermarket. I came here looking for the unusual. They have aisles marked by country or region of origin. It's so much fun exploring. The Jamaican aisle, the Asian aisle, Chile, Brazil, etc., etc. So if you like cooking international cuisines and you need supplies not ordinarily found at your local grocer, this is the place! read more

I bought a 26 dollar pack of skirt steak that was clearly bad and smells like it was drenched in sewer water . They wouldn't even change THEIR BAD MEAT for a new pack without a receipt. I don't mind this place but it's not my favorite supermarket. The produce is very over priced and I'm always concerned about the freshness of it all. The fruit look abnormally large (steroids), the veggies seem clean, and okay seafood selection. This location features food from around the world, it's nice to see the different spices and options from around the globe. This location also has a flower shop and now wine and liquor shop! My second time to Superfresh will be my last. As I was waiting for my deli order, there was loud drilling right next to the fish and deli departments. I looked back, and there were several men drilling into the floor, and throwing up clouds of concrete dust RIGHT NEXT TO open cases of fish on ice and the produce department with fruits and vegetables. (please see my pictures). The fish were not covered....this store has self-service fish and shrimp which customers can pick themselves and are then weighed by the staff. And where was the safety equipment (goggles and masks) on the workers who were doing this work in the middle of a busy supermarket? I felt like I was in a different country, seeing this. Is this what life in America has come to? Am I supposed to trust the quality of the food I feed my family to a store that drills into the floor in the middle of the day, without taking the proper precautions to ensure the food doesn't get contaminated?? THIS IS A SUPERMARKET. If you can't do food safety right, then you shouldn't be in the business! I went to the courtesy counter and asked to speak to a store manager and told them why. The woman paged the manager, and I waited about 5 minutes. When no one came, I figured the best bet was to just post these pictures as a warning to potential customers. This supermarket (Key Food) is from NYC and they think they can do whatever they want when running a supermarket, but I hope to spread the word that we will not tolerate this kind of market in our neighborhood. I haven't set foot in this supermarket since March of 2020. I stopped in to pick up some eggs and, I'm sorry to say, the place is even worse than I mentioned in my previous reviews. One would think that, given the luxury apartment building that's gone up in one half of their parking lot, that they'd try to clean the place up to maybe cater to a more upscale clientele. Nope. It's in worse shape than it was before, the floor is all torn up and, unlike before, the merchandise is very disorganized. The bread section looked like a prizefight had happened there. To be fair, Superfresh has a great selection of hard to find "ethnic" foods. But forget it if you need to return anything through no fault of your own. I've been buying the reusable 5 gallon water jugs here for years. The first time I purchased them i paid a deposit on the bottles to the cashier, who works for Superfresh. Today I went to get water there and, for the second day in a row, they were out of the 5 gallon jugs. Ok, no problem, I just wanted to return the empty bottles and get my deposits back. The manager told me that they don't take the bottles back, that "it's a separate company." But the market sells the water! THEY HAD NO PROBLEM TAKING MY MONEY FOR THE BOTTLES AND CHARGING ME A DEPOSIT. I've done a lot of grocery shopping here over the years, but no more. If a store doesn't stand by what they sell, and they sold me the bottles, they don't get my money. Full stop. read more

After moving to NJ, SuperFresh Food became the only supermarket that I love to shop at. The first time I went there, I had a total nostalgic moment. They had Ecuadorian products and food products that my mother would buy when I was a little girl. Just being in that aisle brought back so many wonderful memories and of course, I had to buy them. Of course I had to call my mother and tell her about the products they had. I love their music, it makes you want to dance while you shop. Whatever aisle you are in, the staff is always friendly and helpful. The cashiers are also friendly and provide friendly customer service. Superfresh is a one stop shopping place with everything you need. The international selections are like no other store. They have PPE such as gloves, masks, hand soap, hand sanitizer, bleach and face coverings for protecting yourself from COVID. Lines move quickly and there is seldom a short wait to enter the store. Still really on the fence with the super fresh grocery stores... They aren't as good as shop rite .... Kinda remind me of a Finefare or C-Town. Prices are all over the place. Some things are a good deal. Other things are way overpriced. read more

Saturday morning one register open lines everywhere... Asked the manager could more registers be open.... and I quote him "only Spanish people complain" what?!?!?!? He bragged about working at Walmart's with 30 min lines at registers and no one complained because only "Spanish people complain"... Well this Spanish person will never complain again because I will never return to this place of business, and I will make sure to let every other "Spanish" person in my family, friends and acquaintances know that Our business is not welcome at this Place. I've been coming here over the past years never had to interact with the employees until I was pregnant and had to use my WIC. If you have WIC this location will definitely aggravate you. First to start off nothing is labeled for WIC so your on your own when looking for things. If you get all the items correct great for you, if not then don't expect anyone to go get it for you when your at the register. Today I wasn't feeling my best and I had the wrong item, the manager tried to explain where to get it from I told her it wasn't there, she said well I don't know basically refusing to get assistance. I asked if she could call someone over the intercom to bring it she said no I can go get. So I sent my daughter twice to get it come to find out the item was never on the floor, one of the men employees had to go into the back and open a box. The funny thing about it is the manager didn't care to see if the problem was resolved, she was acting like she was so busy getting the carts and baskets in order, the store was very empty. I'm big on customer service no matter the location, and being a manager customers expect better. read more

Great selection and convenience of the only reason why I gave it two stars. Truth is this place it's not a nice shopping environment. The cashiers talk disrespectfully about you in other languages. For example a cashier called me an alcoholic in Spanish because not knowing i speak spanish. And.... Please... don't forget one item while you're getting ran up in line. I do understand how frustrating it is but every once in a while it's your job to wait. There are few bright stars there in terms of staff. For the most part if you do need food conveniently, this place is adequate. Buying a deli sandwich for $4 and not being able to find lettuce on it is still beyond me. The chicken, fish, and pork are good price. Beef... Mehh. Relatively clean store, relatively competitive prices. It's a great store. The staff needs a major of adjustment. Oh and there flowers are all narcotics prices. Thought I should throw it out there sense Valentine's days is coming up. Enjoy. read more
