We were sent an invoice, paid it by check, and then told the amount was incorrect and to send a second check with the correct total. We were clearly told the first check would be voided. Instead, both checks were cashed, resulting in over $2,000 being taken from us improperly. We have spent the last four weeks trying to recover our money. We call constantly and are told the same thing every time: "Someone will call you back today or tomorrow." No one ever does. At this point, we are being completely ignored. Worst customer service I ever had. First, they took over a month on something it should've taken 2 weeks. TRAVIS the one who did my estimate was very rude and unprofessional. Second, I got my car back and still had a broken light and lastly he is constantly calling for me to pay for the light, where my insurance already issued two checks of the total of $519.44. My family and I had a frustrating experience at Superior Body Shop that I feel compelled to share. From the moment we dropped off my car, the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was left waiting far longer than expected for them to even acknowledge my presence. Communication was non-existent; I tried calling multiple times to check on the status of my car, but I was met with either long hold times or no response at all. When I finally did get through, the answers were vague and unhelpful. To make matters worse Michael is dismissive and rude. Update to my review....while repairing another part of the car at a different body shop, they showed me where Superior Auto had not correctly seated the fender into the front bumper, with the front fender edge protruding up around the headlight. I was able to pay the competent body shop to repair the earlier Superior Auto Body shoddy and incompetent work. I took my hand mustang to superior after they were recommended by a lower and body shop. I discovered the guy Bragg so much about how good is a Shop isn't pointed to the awards and certifications on the wall, and it kind of sold me. I agreed to let them work on my car. My GT 350 has blue stripes in the center of the vehicle that end in the front bumper. They assured me that they can do the job. They took almost four weeks to finish the job, and when they called me to tell me that it was ready but not the stripes we're not applied correctly. They told me they will make it right and they did the second time around the play the stripes correctly. I recently noticed a run in the paint in the front bumper, which they had to repaint due to the damage. This kind of prompted me to write this review I would not take my car there, end of story. read more

I think it has to do with the aluminum construction of many exotics, including Porsches, but I'm not sure. The cars on the lot were mostly Porsches, and Range Rovers. I bought my car there and thought I could trust their judgement. I had the worst experience with Hani Ano at Superior Body Shop in San Carlos. Here's why: 1) Incompetent staff that did not have my file ready, despite my insurance and myself calling several times to confirm 2) No acknowledgment when I came in and he was yelling at his employee for a payment of $500 that had to be made to a client, but they didn't know who it was for (this was with me present there) 3) Hani Ano providing the worst customer support by making false accusations of what I knew (e.g., I shared what I thought the damage was part of the hit and run to my car and he said I should have known). As someone who hates to see unfairness and people taking advantage of others, don't go. And if you do, please do your research so you don't get scammed. Being in an accident is stressful enough, and they did the complete opposite of helping me. My 2014 Audi S5 was broken into and there was damage to the passenger door and the front window pillar were damaged. The work was good quality overall, but there was white residue all around the trim that does not was off. The repairs took over 4 weeks to complete. When I received my car there was a white spot on the new leather seat that was not there before. They tried to clean it off of the seat and were not able to remove it. I was told that they would have an upholstery person remove it for me at a future date. Also the weather stripping that was damaged was backordered and they were going to put it on when they received it. Meanwhile more then a month later I called to heave these items completed and superior does not want to respond to my request to complete the work. This experience dealing with the adjuster was a series of complete unorganization, lack of communication and the feeling of being over charged every step of the way. I made them mistake of asking Range Rover for a referral when my car was vandalized, they gave me their in-house body shop, Superior Body Shop in San Carlos. Sadly the experience and end result was not what I expected considering my insurance company was charged over $18,000 to repair scratches around the car and hood. After waiting 6 weeks to get my car back, the 20 inch crack on my windshield was still there. After an uncomfortable conversation with the adjuster about them not knowing it needed to be replaced even though we discussed it from the beginning, they sent me on my way to deal with my insurance company and start the process all over again. I received a phone call this morning from the company implying that I deliberately left without paying for the wheel alignment which I authorized. I was told there was no balance however he said the person that checked me out was new and did not know there was a balance however I should have known and paid her anyway even though neither one of us know how much. The fact that he implied that I tried to cheat them is insulting considering the fact that I waiting 6 weeks to get my car, charged $18,000 and left with my car still not fixed. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and would not recommend this company to anyone. Sorry for venting but I wish someone warned me. read more

Worst repair shop I have ever been too. MARK aho is a joke of a owner and gave us our car back with more damage on it then when it went in. DO NOT take your car here! We were lied too and our car repainted and pushed back becuase their crew kept hitting out newly black painted car and would not tell us until we called in to find out what was going on. We constantly had to call them and fight to get ahold of Mark and our service person Perdro. SUPERIOR NEVER CALLED US TO GIVE US AN UPDATE FIRST, IT WAS ALWAYS US AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO CALL US BACK. That's becuase they were trying to hide how many mistakes they made and damage they did. When we actually when to pick up the car, cuz they said it was done, we showed up and immediately noticed all types of new damage to the car with no explanation or concern from the shop. Mark Aho was suppose to come out and talk with us, then we got the run around from the front desk person and Pedro saying "he was in a meeting" at first, them he stepped out and won't be back until later. We ended up taking the car as is without taking to Mark and Mark never call us to follow up on the new damage or even compensate. We knew he was inside because Pedro kept having to run I and check with him on how to compensate, he wanted to only give us $500 off!!! For multiple pieces of the car with new damage from them taking it apart for paint. We are appalled and have never been treated like this before and still dealing with all the aftermath as of oct 2022. read more

While skiing at Mammoth mountain my car (a 2018 Audi S4) was hit by a snowplow that was trying to clear the parking lot. (To be fair, there was so much snow that the cars were all completely buried.) It had some pretty extensive damage to the driver's side doors (front and rear), the rear bumper, sensors, trunk, and many other things. I originally took it to Caliber Collision, but they recommended I take it to Superior, as they are a VW group certified shop. Hani at Superior was great to work with. He kept me informed of what was going on the whole time, and helped me work with Mammoth on the payments. When I picked up the car I looked for any signs that it had been repaired. I couldn't find anything. The paint match was perfect. The lines and seams were indistinguishable from pre-accident. Really top quality work. I've seen some of the negative reviews here, but I had exactly the opposite experience and I would definitely go here again. read more

As a small business owner, I attempted to discuss an out-of-insurance claim for damages caused by our company to another vehicle. The quote provided was 33% greater than one provided by another local shop. Both quotes include OEM parts, high quality paint and skilled technicians at licensed locations. For the sake of simplicity (as this was easier for the individual to whom we caused damage), I attempted to move forward with repairs. Upon discussion, Mark agreed to remove the "covid contamination' fee ($200) that is standard service elsewhere. I confirmed the total; this is when Mark pivoted. He told me a confirmed total was now not an option (even though he had an opportunity to FULLY VIEW THE CAR). I was told an exact amount was undeterminable because he was uncertain if there was damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle. He refused to provide even a range, aside from potentially doubling the original estimate ($2677). Additionally, I was told that the vehicle would be 'at least' a week for under 15hrs of work. My experience here felt slick and like a poor sales pitch that changed by the moment. I would not use nor recommend this company. read more

I should have probably read the Yelp reviews before agreeing to drop my car off at this body shop. My car was literally held captive for 2 weeks and 6 days... Similar to Hans review below, if you are going through insurance to have repairs done on your vehicle: DON'T DO IT. Background story: got in an accident, insurance company will cover damages, I picked the dealership's choice assuming that my Range Rover would be in good hands. Little did I know, I would be going in a very tiresome battle with this body shop just to get my car back. -100 No communication at all. They give false promises to you, saying that they will contact you before they get any work done. They don't even bother working with the insurance company and assume they can fix anything that they want. -100 Immaturity. It got to the point where I had to escalate the situation to the manager (?) of the store. Frank was rude to my insurance company (3 way call) and made false accusations. He did not have good documentation on his end, and just tried to beat around the bush when I asked him for pure facts. The saddest thing though, is that all their employees are the same. Sonya, the girl who was supposed to handle my claim did NOT communicate with the insurance company and authorized fixes without approval. When I wanted to speak with her on the phone, the people at the front desk would divert the situation and just hang up. Steve, who works at the Range Rover dealership, is the middle man who acts like he knows what's going on, but in reality, doesn't. His main body shop isn't even at this location, but yet, my car was driven to this facility?? He eventually just stopped all communication with me because his text exchange with me were catching him in a lie. As for the repairs of my car: It's in better condition than where it was before, so I have to give credit to them for that. Overall, just glad that I got my car back...and never coming back here again... PS: I noticed gas stains over my leather. I'm quite mad, but at this point, I would probably just go get it cleaned elsewhere. read more
