Instead, he installed a 4-pronged Range receptacle instead of a 3-pronged Dryer receptacle. This resulted in twice delaying the installation of a new dryer. On Nov. 4, the electrician came by to install a 240V Dryer receptacle outlet. The installation was done and the electrician was paid $139. On January 26, 2017, a washer/dryer unit was delivered and planned to be installed by the installers from where I purchased the unit. However, the installers noticed that there was an incorrect receptacle. I contacted Twin Lakes Electric about this, and he belatedly explained that a 3-pronged power cord, and not a 4-pronged cord, was needed for the receptacle he installed. This was something he didn't explain to me in Nov. during the receptacle install. A new appointment was set to have the dryer installed again. However, I noticed that the prongs on the 3-pronged dryer power cord did not line up with the openings on the receptacle. I contacted the electrician again to let him know this. He came by and noticed that he had installed an oven/range receptacle instead of a dryer receptacle. This explains why the initial installers stated that there was the wrong receptacle on the wall. The electrician informed me that I would have to wait until the following Monday for him to replace the incorrect the part. After intervention by the Condo Mgmt. company, the electrician came by and installed the correct part. I requested a partial refund of the cost of the receptacle install because of the resulting delay. He told me to send him an email and he would take care of it. As a result of his mistake, I had to pay an additional fee to the maintenance crew to install the washer/dryer unit. In essence, I have paid twice for the install of the washer dryer unit. After emailing the electrician twice requesting a $40 refund for the incorrect receptacle he installed, he responded by saying that his policy is to not issue refunds but to complete the work to the customer's satisfaction. He acknowledged in the email that while he knows that I am not satisfied, he feels that the work is done and that there is nothing further to be done by him. I replied informing him that his response runs contrary to what he said - he lied - and because of his mistake I had to pay an additional $40 for the install. He has not replied to my last email. If I could give a 'zero' star rating I would.

Chuck was patient, gave my projects and desires his full attention and he offered much more creative solutions than the other two contractors I met with (and he's just a fun, witty guy!) He's not shy about waving you off projects that could open a can of worms in an old house and be more trouble than they're worth. Niglio's prices were phenomenally better than their competitors and it didn't take terribly long to get the work scheduled. Chuck Jr. and his assistant Keith spent several days at my home and also scheduled a couple of return trips to make sure all the projects were completed to my satisfaction. That "creative gene" runs through both father and son, because Chuck Jr. made some great suggestions on site that were better than my original ideas (e.g. the type of motion-sensor lighting under a deck). They were neat and strived to do minimal damage in areas where they had to cut into walls. It was impressive how these guys went "the extra mile" to give great service on things like bringing me the right bulbs for an antique light fixture at no extra charge - and even nailing down some loose treads on my deck stairs! Chuck Jr. also diagnosed a power outage issue with my heat pumps that had nothing to do with their work. His breezy "We got you!" attitude was wonderful. My only nit-pick would be communications with the front office - information and questions I passed along often didn't seem to make it through to Chuck Sr. or the field crew (unless you can get to Tina, the mom I think? - Tina is ON it, LOL!) I got great value for the price and Niglio's efficient and excellent work has greatly improved my living experience in my home.

Prices aren't the cheapest, but they do a great job, are quick, so I think it's reasonable. The first time I worked with David Williams himself - my fridge's outlet kept going out, and then coming back on. David walked through steps to test the outlet, the circuit breaker, the grounding circuit and some other tests before he would come out and charge me. It was a nice touch. Trouble shooting took a few trips out, but he was very easy to reach as we tested. Next they came out to fix some really dangerous wiring in our attic after our roof was replaced. Installation went fine. The last trip out they installed new recessed lighting in our living room and a new chandelier and a two dimmer switches. We bought the chandelier, but they provided the recessed lighting. In all cases, dry wall is repaired to flat surface ready for painting - but they do the painting themselves. Jobs are generally paid for by service, not hours, so you know what it will cost up front - baring any surprises when they open an outlet and find that it's been wired to two circuit breakers by the pervious owner, or your attic fan apparently has 2 sources of electricity ...

After 8 days of working on my panel (was supposed to be an 2 day project) and many lies and a lot of hidden costs, the i spect ion failed miserably. They canceled the inspection several times and lied to me about it. After ten days, failed inspections, and cancellations, I finally hired a great company. Also, I had to keep giving him cash to get equipment. Then lied and said he did work he wasn't paid for. He also lied and said the permit coasted 500 dollars and I later found out it was only 50 dollars. He also lied and said I didn't want to pay him when I had paid him over 400 in cash. He also lied to my credit card company. I even had to give him gas money. He showed up late, stayed way past a comfortable time in my home, and would leave and not come back without notice. DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY IN YOUR HOME. My house could have caught on fire, or worse I could have been electrocuted had I touched the live wire he left. A true scam. No integrity. They owe me money. They tried to ruin my reputation with my bank. If you do hire them, make sure you have everything in writing like I did. Text messages and I have cameras in my home and recordings of the interactions. They scammed me out of money and ten days of my life.
