The ones I've tried from other places are usually smooth and easily spreadable, but Handy's is more chunky with noticeable bits of fish in it, so it's unique to me. I also like their mini sweet potato pie, which I believe is seasonal. The one thing I didn't care too much for was the tri-tip. Even if the cut you're looking for doesn't come pre-marinated, they will marinate it for you if you ask! We ended up purchasing the La Carniceria Meat Market brand meat seasoning to use on the carne picada while grilling and it was superb. We started with the steak tartare, which was probably the best tartare we've ever had. The butcher's bread nearly stole the show--we ordered two of them and will absolutely be coming back just for the bread. For entrées, I ordered the 12-ounce thick-cut New York Wagyu. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, and ranks among the best New York steaks I've ever had.
