This review is specifically for the Chinese traditional breakfast at the Hot Deli inside the 99 Ranch Market, as it seems this is the only place serving Chinese traditional breakfast in the region. Overall, the quality is so so, therefore try if you're adventurous. The salty soy milk was ok, but the Chinese donut sticks inside seemed to have been refried multiple times. The egg cake was cold, it was a good concept to wrap the minced pork but overall, not impressive. The service was ok, from the cafeteria style counter, it was just a little hard for me to hear what the lady was saying most of the time. Seating area was clean when we were there. read more

We stopped by Ranch 99 market in Artesia to get fruit for the drive back home. The store is clean and well stocked. Parking can be a bit tight at peak hours. My colleagues picked up some freshly baked bread which were soooo good and fresh!! Everyone here is very helpful and friendly. I had asked a gentleman restocking a shelf if he could tell me where to find some sichuan peppercorn and he walked me over to the aisle where it was located at. Food: They have a bakery and a deli with hot Chinese food and BBQ Pork and Roast Duck. I grabbed a Portugese Egg Tart at the baker and it was ok. Kind of bland. There is so much to see here in the grocery aisles. It can be overwhelming unless you know what you are getting. They do provide free frying service for fish. I highly recommend the Tilapia deep fried. Delicious! Service: The employees are nice and if you need something from them you have to go find them because this is not an American style grocer which is part of of the experience. Go explore! Ambiance: All 99 Ranch seem to be taking on upgrades this is more modern feeling like an HMart or other Asian grocery store except this one caters more to Chinese and Indian market ingredients. read more

I went to a seafood counter around 6:30pm, bought some shrimps. When I received the shrimps, I felt the weight is not even a pound, but the sticker said 1.255lbs. And when I put it on the scales, it was only 0.8lbs. I told the fishmonger, who served me, to weight it again and put the right price on the sticker but he refused to do it and kept saying the weight is right, and if I want to complain I can complain to a manager. I went to a cashier and called for a manager. It took a while for the manager to come out but he took care of the issue. I attached pictures of the weight and price before and after it got fixed. The fishmonger name is RUBEN. He was so rude and not cooperative at all. and after talking to one of the cashiers, there has been a a lot of complain about his bad attitude and rudeness. I have been to this store for so many years and see their service is from bad to worse, most of the clerks are not professional at all, especially those are in meat and seafood counter. read more

Market is okay, although it is really pretty large I don't often find what I am looking for, not sure why. There are a few areas that I really do like about the market. When you walk in and head to the left you can find some fresh bread at the internal bakery. Go to the right and you have some take out food. At the front of the market just next to the cashiers you can normally find snacks and items on sale. Not a fan of the seafood area or actually the rest of the store. I like the deals at 99 Ranch market. They have good sales every week and I like to stop by to see. They have varieties of veggies and fruits, and I especially love the seasonal fruits. 3 stars for the Ranch 99 dim sum & them catfishing me. The dim sum looks great on their IG and everything else I've had at their hot deli has been reasonable. I had stopped in close to 10am on Sunday. $4.99 scallion pancake roll with beef: nice amount of sliced beef, needed a little more sauce, and way too much cilantro. The bread was nice and flaky. $3.99 shrimp roll: the Hubs said it was the most overcooked shrimp he had & the dough / noodle was on the cusp of overcooked as well. Pass on this IMO. $3.99 sui mais: you get 4 of the smallest sui mais on Earth which were overcooked and could be because I got them at 10am...but still doesn't change the size. $2.99 cruller (yao teow): crisp but unsalted. All in all not horrible but definitely won't be getting dim sum again at 99. As far as getting dim sum to go, A&B dim sum in Lucky Seafood is still my go to. The quest continues... read more

That worker at the customer service desk is evil and have a stuck up attitude. I am concerned about a missing item and would like to report the incident. The employee sitting outside smoking seemed to be watching me as I put away my chart. I believe I may have left something on it and forgot. I approached the store manager to inquire about a box and was met with a less-than-friendly demeanor. I am worried that the employee might have taken the item, and I hope the management will investigate and address any potential issues. read more

I typically shop at H-mart but came here today to try out different meat options. While at the cashier, she asked if I wanted bags. I said "yes,please." After paying , there were no bags for my $123 groceries. I told her i asked for them. She said 20 cents. Now I had to break cash versus having them paid on my card. When handing her the cash, I repeated to her that I did advise her, this is HER mistake. No apologies . This location has greatly improved over the years. My family and I have been coming to this 99 Ranch for years. I remember browsing the aisles when I was younger, looking for snacks and treats and asking my parents to buy them - now I browse through the aisles looking for snacks and treats and debate whether I really need them at all. Service is about the same - I've never really had to interact with anyone other than at checkout, so it was never a big issue. People sometimes have bad days and they're not as friendly as on other days, but my items get checked out and it's usually fine. Like I mentioned, the store has had some improvements over the many years. It is much cleaner and the aisles are well marked now. While I can still roam around looking at stuff and browsing - I don't actually have to because the aisles are clearly labeled. If need be, I can quickly go in, find what I need, check out and leave. But, it's always much more fun to look around and see if there's anything new I'd like to try. Plus - the crane machines at the front of the store are always fun to check out and spend a few minutes at. read more

My local 99 Ranch!! I love this place. I always come here to stock up on the asian cooking essentials and pick up any ingredients I need for whatever asian meal I have planned for the week. They have pretty much everything I need. I also like that they have a bunch of Asian candies and snacks that they seem to regularly rotate in and out. They'll often eventually discount them too, so sometimes I wait it out although this puts me at risk for missing getting them at all. Very impressive ice cream section as well, with a lot of flavors, varities and brands you really won't find elsewhere. They have great variety of pretty much everything, and the pricing for everything is often pretty cheap or at least very fair, in my opinion. Sometimes I see things I consider a bargain (i.e. I see their ground beef on sale a lot for like $2 *_*). Typically it's been easy to get in and out, but there has been the rare occasion where check out lines were super long. Parking is ample, as they're in a plaza with a bunch of other restaurants and stores. Sometimes the closer parking will fill up, but you should still be able to finding parking further away. read more

Crying in 99 Ranch. The shelves were neatly organized, but the hot-food deli was DISgusting. Cashier wanted to use her filthy gloves to play with the money and then serve my tofu slop -- nothankyou! Grabbed some Pokey for the long drive home and the line was redic. Couldn't grab a manager (or two) to help out? On my second cashier now and she was none too happy when I insisted on zapping my bits with the gun instead of swiping across the sea of e-Coli infested counter. That's right, bish! Going to preface that this was not the largest 99 Ranch I have been to, but post remodel it has gotten so much better. When you walk in you see they have a bakery and half of the individual pastries are 4/$7 and the milk breads are buy 2 get 1 free so not bad deals. They also have coffee, but no boba if that is what you need in your drinks. The produce is clean and well organized. Most everything is already prepackaged so you can grab it and be on your way. The pantry and frozen sections are well stocked. They do have some stuff in the ready to go refrigerated section, but it is mostly breads and buns. This is my local 99 Ranch Market. The seafood here are usually fresh. I like to get salmon fillet and shrimp here. This is also my go to spot whenever I want to cook pork belly. The produce are usually fresh. The chips and snacks section is not that big at this particular location. I've been to other 99 Ranch with more variety. For those who haven't been to this place or any of the other locations, 99 Ranch Market has been around for ages carrying a variety of Asian food produce. Inflation has put the hurt on consumers everywhere but you gotta do what you gotta do. Came for some fresh clams to stir fry for dinner and came out with a cart full of other produce. It's similar to H-Mart without the extra 10% bougie tax...but that depends on your location really. There is a small food court selling combo plates of Peking duck, char siu pork, fried rice, etc. the char siu pork is delicious. Service is ok, about as good as a grocery store can get. But it's no Trader Joe's if that sums it up for ya. It's clean, and well stocked. The frozen section seems a bit small. They also have a rewards program for points. read more

My go to 99 ranch since it's the closest to my place. Lots of selections, can get fish and have them fry it for you so you don't have to at home. They can also clean and filet your fish if you want. Lots of produce and meats too. The ones I always buy from here are the snacks and different flavor beers! Always hits the spot for me. This location also added a new restaurant which was descent. The team members are hit or miss, but then again it's a grocery store so they focus more of getting you in and out of the place. The staff at the fish frying/cleaning station is good though. I haven't been here in years but couldn't tell they underwent a renovation at first glance. Near the front, they have an aisle of claw machines like the ones at Round 1 arcade. Across from it is the food court. I was going to go to the one in Anaheim, but there was more traffic on the way there. The parking spots here are on the compact side. Hopefully, the crab tastes okay because it was significantly cheaper here than at the Korean supermarkets. I would say this is your typical 99 Ranch Market. They sell fish, meat, all kinds of seafood, fruit, vegetables, drinks, a variety of sauces and noodles. Although I must say a lot of the items ranging from produce to basic ingredients are very overpriced. It is a relatively good size store. They provide carts and hand baskets for your convenience. Like other stores, you must bring your own bags. My main grievance however is the parking lot of this place, this review is mainly focused on that. Well let me start by saying the parking lot here is HORRENDOUS!!!!! Firstly, the parking lot itself is pretty small and this supermarket is situated in a little plaza surrounded by restaurants and other stores. So if you can imagine, parking is a nightmare!! Each parking space is basically designated for compact cars only, meaning don't think about parking a Hummer or a Ford 150 you will have a hard time. I also always see people take up 2 spaces which can be really annoying. And do not I repeat do not even think about coming here on the weekends you will not find a parking spot. One aggravating issue that I have had on multiple occasions is where people have carelessly opened their car doors so hard, they hit my car with no regard. In one specific incident, I unfortunately did not see the ding on the handle of my passenger side door until I got home. The culprit didn't bother to leave a note or anything. In another incident: I had just pulled into a spot and right after, this lady and her daughter pull in next to me. The lady opens her driver side door so aggressively and fast that she smacks her door against my passenger door. I hear the noise it made and I look at her, she glances at me, and quickly walks away before I could say anything to her. Smh... Lastly, the shopping carts in the lot are scattered everywhere like a scrabble board. I guess because there are no corrals in the lot, people will literally discard their cart anywhere they want so be aware. I am not a very frequent visitor to Artesia but this is a very generic 99 Ranch Market. It is the same as the one in the Southern part of where I live. You can get some really nice food and drinks here. This is also a safe location as well because one of the 99 Ranch markets has been a dangerous place. You get top quality foods here at a decent price. I sometimes come here after a day of going wild and partying at Coachella. I like how they have some nice boba drinks here but unlike the one in South San Jose, the drinks cost a lot less. I love their bakery as well because I am getting a good price for the food. This is not a very busy 99 ranch but really worth the trip if possible. Drawback: I would plan accordingly here because you will not find everything you need here as stated by other reviews. read more
