Unlike a lot of Mexican stores, Superior Grocers has a high standard of cleanliness. There is never an overwhelming smell of rotting meat such as there is at other Mexican stores(which I won't mention here). The produce is fresh and lasts a long time in your refrigerator. I went into the supermarket to buy a small, premade 5-inch cake for a personal occasion. I chose one that was mostly white but had three strawberries and three blueberries on top. I politely asked someone from the bakery if they could remove the fruit, smooth out the top, and add a few dots of white frosting to finish it off. There were four bakery employees standing around, laughing and chatting, and it took them about five minutes to even acknowledge me. When they finally did, I was told they couldn't make any changes because the cakes were "already like that" and that the decorator was about to leave. However, I could still see them in the back, continuing to chat instead of helping. This was a very small request and would've taken less than five minutes -- I know because I ended up doing it myself at home with some whipped cream. It turned out just fine. What's disappointing is the lack of effort and care. The bakery team clearly needs a reminder about basic customer service and attentiveness. read more

I had a positive experience at this store. Customer service at the bakery and at the register was very helpful. I tried their deli ready to go food and found the chili relleno was excellent and the mac and cheese was good. The chicken enchiladas were below average since they didn't use enough cheese, and the sauce wasn't anything special. The crab salad was OK with peas and celery, but they should have used better quality mayo. I will go back for the chili relleno and the mac and cheese. P.S. Depending on your microwave's power, I recommend cooking it longer than the instructions recommend. Be sure to stir the mac and cheese during the microwaving. Baking the mac and cheese probably would give you better results. I hope my two cents review helped you. read more

Where do I begin. Just moved from Irvine to San Bernardino and I didn't know most places around here didn't have meat departments where you can order meat by the pound. So I did my research and found this place. So I went early today and ordered meat. I had ordered chuck meat and it was on sale for 1.99 a pound. The whole time the guy at the counter was so rude and not very pleasant at all but I was like maybe he's just having a bad morning already. Well I go to check out and I was like what the heck why was it so much?! The meat guy charged me 4.99 a pound, he had charged me for the wrong meat. I was even more mad because when I was ordering the meat he had asked me "this one? And I said yes". Super upset that I had to over pay 10$ for something I didn't get. I asked one of the guys who worked there and he was able to help me and I got my money back (Barbara the cashier was awesome and so helpful), again thank you to Manuel for helping me. Make sure you check your tags people! This was not okay. I get you're annoyed but over charging people is not okay. I will definitely be calling corporate today. read more

Unfortunately, management doesn't seem to care how long you wait in line to pay for your groceries. With only 2 registers open, one cashier waiting for the manager and 4 employees in the manager's bullpen talking, the 2 lines just grew and grew. I had to leave my few items in the basket and leave. 5 stars for the chips, seriously. I only go for the chips. Whenever we go there for Mexican, this is where I go, but as another stated.. 3 stars for the service. While the place was clean, lots of Hispanic food choices to be had, there were only 2 cashier working, with a group of 3 young ladies chatting away in full view of the long lines that were in obvious viewing range. Finally one came up to a register, but she did not turn on her light or wave anyone over. And yes, she was open, because I rushed over to her once I saw her ring up a customer. Everyone else just stood in line and stared. I know they don't make a lot of money for that they do, but they could at least pay attention to the customers. Smile even. The more attention you give, the better you get rated and the more positive your word of mouth is. I have not tried the meat department as of yet, since I have only seen negative reviews of them, so I am petrified to go there... I would end up mouthing off at them and looking like a xenophobe...ewwww read more

I've been coming to this store since pandemic started(feb2020) and let me tell you absolutely Awsome . The manager does a very excellent job on keeping the shelves stocked and I love the diversity in the employees. Everybody is always willing to help and by far I can tell that they genuinely care about their customers my favorite part is that the produce is always fresh.keep up the good work . Went in and shopped for a bbq I was having and forgot my credit card at home 2 minutes away. As soon as I told her I would b right back she called for her employees to put my stuff away. When I got back she laughed as she told me that she already put my stuff away. Very rude manager. Never again at this place. read more

They have a great selection of Mexican products. Their carne asada is great, and their deli is delicious.

Grocery store always has fresh veggies, the pan dulce is fresh and soft, the meat is tender and good to. My favorite is the pastor. The grocery store is pretty clean, and has decent prices and deals all the time. read more
