I'm a regular at this location because it's right next to the gym. It's clean and the employees are super friendly and hard working! Aldi finds come in kind of slowly at this store. After the weekly ad posts it takes a few days for them to stock the new products. Discounted sticker items are sometimes available even in the middle of the day, which is nice. This location does get plants, unfortunately something must not be right with the shipment speed or conditions because the plants are usually mangled and half dead. When the money trees came in a few weeks ago they were all in cold shock, but being sold at normal price. read more

Yay! This location finally has added new, clean shopping carts. I like the selection of food items that are available (I already know which items are priced much lower than other grocery stores). And well now about the service, it's a hit or miss with friendly cashiers, today I had a cashier that did not acknowledge me, just started ringing up my items and honestly why do the cashiers feel the need to rush thru the transaction?? Most of the cashiers at Aldi's tell me to put in my debit card in the machine before the transaction is completed, so annoying! I will continue to take my time when checking out. read more

first and last time being in an Aldi. one thing that i noticed about this aldi was how un-organized it was. i was overwhelmed and honestly just felt disgusted. the fruits were all in boxes unorganized and things were knocked off shelves. the overall reason for my complaint was when i bought these bagged frozen grapes and let me say i had i guess high expectations but again let me say it was so gross. keep in mind only ingredient was grapes but when i opened the bag it was solid brownish grapes that were all slimy and covered in very odd white stuff. overall just don't go to this aldi :( read more

This was our first visit here in many months. We stopped in to get what you just can't find at Sam's. We needed cilantro, gluten free bread, cookies, stuffing, fried onions and pasta. ALDI is an interesting store concept. The chain originates in Europe (Germany, I believe), where their shopping markets tend to be smaller; and their inventory a bit more specialized. Over the past decade or so, ALDI has taken this concept to the USA. You'll certainly notice a few similarities and differences to the larger chain grocery stores out there; which I'll go over here. So first of all you'll notice is their shopping cart model. You have to "rent" a cart... for a quarter! You heard me. The carts are chained together with a locking mechanism attached to each cart that unlocks when you put a quarter into it. To get your quarter back, you chain your cart back to the others in the cart pen, and your quarter is released. This is an interesting spin on the honor system that works surprisingly well and you almost never find the parking lot with carts left abandoned here and there. And don't worry, if you do not have a quarter, you can go into the store and ask for a cart. You also have to bag your own groceries. The second thing you'll notice is the size of the store and the smaller number of products they sell. ALDI's tend to be smaller than traditional grocery stores; and whereas most larger stores can sometimes sell up to 10,000 different products, ALDIs tend to sell approx 1,200 to 2000 at most. The result is a targeted shopping experience that moves the customer through the store quickly. The third thing you'll notice is they sell a lot of brand names that you probably aren't familiar with. ALDI has a lot of in-house brands. This helps keep costs down, but don't be fooled. Their in-house brands are often as good as IF NOT BETTER than many of the big brand names. You'll notice they have some good brand-name items too, but their prices tend to be higher on those. Their produce is almost always fresh, and locally sourced in California. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. They even have a decent wine selection with some pretty highly-rated wines. There are a couple of annoying things that I have to deduct a star for, and that's the somewhat limited and variable supply of items you might grow attached to. An example is their in-house brand of unsweetened iced tea that they had for the longest time in the half-gallon jugs, but they no longer carry as of a couple of years ago. This has happened to a few items we really like for some unknown reason. Come to expect the variable nature of some of their inventory. Secondly is the store's location. It's tucked away on Hospitality Lane in a plaza and isn't very easy to find. If you've never been to an ALDI before, stop by and browse around. I'm sure you'll find it interesting and it might just become one of your favorite stores. read more

I am a die hard Aldi Fan but this store is at the bottom of my list. The store is always a mess, they have empty boxes everywhere, there aren't ever any employees on the floor to answer with questions, and the employees at the register are rude. I had two horrible encounters with the red headed manager Amy and because of that, I'll only come to this store if i absolutely have to. She has an attitude every time i see her & you can tell she gets irritated every time someone approaches her. As a manager, they should be the ones with the welcoming smile and always willing to help & she is neither of those things. Another thing that bothers me is that they don't fill things when they run out so i have to spend the extra 5 mins to hunt someone down to ask if they have it in the back. They usually do so this shows me that they are just too lazy to bring items out to the floor as they run low. I would much rather drive the extra 20 mins to go to the Redlands or Riverside location than to deal with the people at this store. I can see Aldi as an up and coming supermarket. Don't forget your quarter or you won't be able to get a shopping cart. But, you will get your quarter back when you return your cart. Some people hate it, but I think it is an amazing idea and it eliminates the employees having to go outside in this heat to bring the carts back. The market prices are very low, significantly lower than your average Ralph's or Vons. This had been my go to market for the past two weeks since I've discovered this place. The fees things that are different is the paying area. The cashier will put everything back into your cart and then you will have to go to the bagging station to put your groceries in boxes or bags yourself. I don't mind this at all, but some may find this to be a nuisance. Also, the market does not have everything you will need. I don't mind the 25 cent deposit for a cart because so many people leave them scattered around and it prevents that. I don't know how much longer it would take the cashier to place your items in a bag as opposed to the cart but I don't mind bagging - I do it at self check-out stores. Aldi reminds me of the old fresh and easy stores. this location is the first one me and my hubby came to. we nosed around and picked up a few items. They do have some great products especially that there cereal brand made with no synthetic dyes or high fructose corn syrup which is a plus for me when i buy cereal for my kids. Don't forget your 25 cents for your basket deposit you will get it back. Bring your own bags and they have a little table top area to bag your own groceries. There produce is sometimes hit or miss because sometimes it's a little over ripe. There organic milk is pretty good. This place is super cheap and actually very clean! While it doesn't have the variety of a regular super market, it has a decent selection of foods and products. Their generic brands are extremely affordable and I think this is a great place for those looking to save money and not skip out on quality. Be sure to bring a quarter with you because you need it to check out a shopping cart! However, if you bring a cart that was left in the parking lot back to the queue, congrats! You just made a quarter!! When you're checking out at the register, the cashier doesn't bag anything and there's no room for you to bad at the register. Rather, there's a "packing station" at the front of all the registers where you can pack your foods either into your own grocery bags, purchased grocery bags from Aldi or boxes that they usually keep around (think Costco style). I like this place for produce and salad. They have fresh fruit and very fair prices.Bananas are .40 per lbs, celery and baby asparagus were. 19 cents. As soon as you walk into the store on the right side there is an ad with current deals or next week's deals. They have plenty of vegetarian items and their organic selection is good as well.Everything here is off brands that I have never heard of. If you do not mind this you will enjoy it. I am not a fan of their meat it's always to dark or is seasoned funny. I bought seasons taco meat that made all of my families stomachs hurt. I recommend you bring a quarter to get a shopping cart. It's exciting to have an Aldi in San Bernardino. I usually shop at Stater Bros., but I kept hearing excellent things about this place, so I decided to drop in --I'm glad I did! Right as I walked in, I noticed how neat everything appeared to be. While I was strolling around, I took a look at the prices, only to find that they were all mostly decent for the quality of the food. Also, I think it's great that there are so many affordable organic products. The store is set up to where it's very open and easy to find things. I was on the hunt for a specific container of hummus and pita chips to go with it (this is serious business!). I found the pita chips but unfortunately, they were out of the garlic and parmesan flavored ones, so I settled with the original sea salt ones. I came prepared with my own shopping bags and a quarter that I keep tucked away in my wallet. The layout takes a moment to comprehend with multiple product categories stocked on each aisle. Once it sinks in, it's a remarkably fast way to find what you need. If you're willing to make a few changes to your meal planning, say, a granola bar after lunch instead of a candy bar, you can find everything here for almost a steal. Everything about ALDI screams "efficiency" like the rent-a-cart corral (return the cart for a refund of your quarter), house brand packaging with multiple barcodes so the cashier doesn't have to play Hide 'n' Seek with an elusive UPC symbol, and a communal bag-your-own-groceries table that keeps the check-out process flowing. It's all very European and already a stunning success in the eastern USA, parts of the South and in the eastern reaches of the Midwest. If it catches on with otherwise habit-bound Yanks west of the Mississippi, ALDI could sweep into all 50 states, then head north and south of the border. I would only go here because instacart pays me well to shop there but I avoid this one as much as I can now. They clearly hate their jobs here and take it out on the customers. ZERO people skills, they need better training or just need a whole new team of people. Their produce also sucks, almost always has mold and only looks fresh 10% of the time. Their egg section is ALWAYS dirty with cracked Eggs all over the place and the associates are so lazy that they don't clean it up and it looks disgusting. The Turk are 44 cents a pound cheaper, on Wednesday took the receipt back to the store as it says on website to do they wouldn't refund the difference, asked to speak to the manager & he still wouldn't refund the difference. I usually get all my groceries from Sam's Club, where groceries are cheaper than at any other grocery store, but many ALDI prices beat Sam's Club! I will never shop there again! Chris's customer service was unbelievable. I used to shop there daily, literally, on my lunch break. Today I went in and Chris literally and rudely threw my items in the basket, then when I proceeded to push the basket to the designated bagging area he rudely and loudly stated "you need to bring the basket back" so I advised him that I would move the other empty basket so he could use in the meantime time. He responded loudly and rudely again "yea but imma need the basket back". After I finished bagging I moved the basket back, as I told him I would. And he yelled to me as I am walking out "you talking shit on the phone you should have been saying it my face". I will old him to "shut up and focus on your job". I turned around and returned my purchase! I don't spend money in stores that treat people this way. To add, I have noticed before that he primarily treats African Americans badly. I love aldi prices and products. I've been to Aldi in the San Fernando Valley and they have people sanitizing carts and that gives me peace of mind during this pandemic. Here, they do not follow that same process and its very nerve wrecking to visit this Aldi anymore simply because it seems they are not take the health of their customers seriously. I prefer going Aldi's instead of the bigger stores just for the simplicity. Most of the aldi brand items satisfy my needs when it comes to their generic versions of chips etc but the soda is nasty. Also be careful when buying anything. A lot of times I've gotten home only to find out a small part of my purchases are at the expiration date or past it which really makes me mad. My fault for not looking but it be nice if they pulled them off the shelves. Lines are usually long but that's any store I guess. All and all great prices and some what friendly staff. read more

A new market in town that offers a large range of goodies at very low prices, from fresh produce to household necessities like laundry detergent. They have many workers here, all of which are extremely friendly and helpful. One of the coolest service they have are the shopping carts where you place 25 cents in the slot to unlock the cart to use and when you're done you just lock it back up and get your quarter back. The veggies and fruit are definitely cheaper but limited. Everything is limited. No name brands here. It kind of like a nicer 99c store. You won't find everything you need at Aldi's so you'll end up going to a regular grocery store anyway. What I didn't like and didn't realize till to late, was that the checkout girl requested the cart next to her and I thought she was putting the groceries in the brown bags I purchased, but only putting them in the cart. Got to the car and had to bag my groceries in the parking lot. I think Food for Less is a better bargain one stop grocery store. read more

I came here after a workout session at 24-Hour Fitness; not a good idea because I wanted to leave with everything in my arms (I had forgotten to bring my own bags). The store is awesome. You can find produce for super cheap and good quality meats for sale where at another grocery store (such as Stater Bros.), the quality might not be as good. I was stoked to buy a dozen avocados @ .45 each! I also saw a whole pineapple for under $2. They have a good selection of cheese, even specialty cheeses (i.e. Creamy white cheese rolled w prosciutto). Their meat selection is decent too, offering chicken, different cuts of steak, and even salmon). However, don't come here expecting to find everything on your grocery list. The amount of grocery items is very limited and you won't find your favorite brands. But what they lack in variety, they make up for in the prices. The store itself has plenty of parking, clean and spacious aisle ways, and helpful staff. They also have some sort of money-back guarantee on their products that I don't know too much about, but it is available if you need it. read more
