Originally there was horrible wallpaper on the walls which we removed ourselves. However, the glue that was behind the wallpaper would not budge! I called Al and he came over the same evening (on time) and looked at my walls. I immediately knew that he was the guy for this job. He knew exactly what needed to be done and didn't try to sell me on anything extra. Also being I am about burst at the seams with a new baby, I needed this done asap. Al worked with me on getting a quick estimate which was very reasonable and I scheduled immediately! Originally it was going to be a 3 day job and it turned out to be only 2! I had given him some paint swatches I got from Home Depot and he bought the paint and everything. The walls were smooth and you'd never know there was wallpaper there before! It's like I have a brand new bathroom!! I definitely want to do more work around the house and Al is going to be the first one that I call. Al and his employees' work ethic is top notch and that kind of experience is hard to find! So do yourself (and your home) a favor and just use Gallo Painting! I found the staff extremely helpful- even after I told them I was there for a remnant or supersale mark down for a basement. I take in dogs, and they're not all housebroken when I get them, so whatever goes on the floor, i want to be able to throw it out in a year without feeling bad. I was not a high end buyer, but they treated me like one. I didn't find a really cheap POS for the basement (i was really hoping for some god aweful pattern they were stuck with, but no luck), but I did find a great 8x10 rug for my diningroom that I was really excited about. Not at all what I went for. I have wanted to paint my house for a while in cool greys and pale blues you see in all the magazines, but between my warm wood toned furniture and terracotta tiles, it would never work- UNTIL I FOUND THIS RUG. I've been looking for years to find something to suit my traditional style that could bring in the warm clay tones with the blues and greys I wanted. I am so thrilled. They rolled it up and brought it out to my car. I was concerned it wouldn't fit, but I could have gone even larger becasue they re-rolled it the short way. Even if it didn't fit, they would have tied it to the roof for me. I loved this place. I could have spent all day here. The prices are reasonable, the rugs middle of the road good quality- no $20,000 hand woven stuff, but a lot of good quality at reasonable prices in the $200- $500 range. Not a lot of junk/low quality, if you're looking to spend under $100, you're pretty much out of luck for anything much bigger than a bath mat.

Not only were they about $1,000 less expensive than the other companies we looked at, they were very friendly and accommodating. When our kitchen cabinets and our master bathroom vanity were installed and it was time for the countertops, they were able to come measure, and create the perfect countertops in less than a week! And I say perfect countertops because everything was AMAZING! They were able to cut one piece to fit around the corner!! Everything fit exactly to measurements! And they even matched up the veins in the quartz so that it looks like it flows from the island across to the wall cabinets! But the master vanity is the most incredible of all. We ordered a backsplash with it for the 2 sides with a wall, and they surprised us by matching the backsplash piece to exactly match the countertop in terms of the stone's patterns!!! We have been in the home improvement business for over 40 years and have never seen that kind of perfectly matching stone before!
