They were quick to respond a fix a portion that needed a little more care. They inspected one year later and called several times to make sure there were no issues. On July 14th of 2026 I had a brand new driveway installed at my home. I have owned this home for…read more31 years and finally went from a gravel driveway to asphalt. They ripped up the old driveway that had the gravel, leveled it out. There were around 10 or 11 guys including the owner. It looks beautiful. We had a few estimates and decided on Fossett's. Neil the owner came down and did the estimate after my wife explained what she wanted done. He listened and made a few recommendations and so we agreed on a price and a date. They came down around 7:00 A.M. and were gone by 2:00 P.M. They did a fantastic job and Neil the owner stayed and worked with the crew the whole time. We were home and he kept us posted on what was going on. His crew were very friendly and really worked hard on this. We had some refreshments in the refrigerator in the garage so the guys could just help themselves to the gatorade, water while they worked. I just provided a plastic container for them to thrown them the empties. He has a very polite crew. I would recommend them anytime. By the way, the price was good also.

The last time we had our driveway sealed (which is a large driveway with cracks, lawn overgrowing…read morethe sides, and in places weeds growing through it) we had a company come and they did a fantastic job. They did a thorough job edging it, they filled in the cracks, and they pulled the weeds. They also charged us almost half of what Egan charged us now, though that was in 2020. That company doesn't appear to be around now, so we looked online for reviews and after getting several went with Egan. Their estimate seemed detailed enough (we had also asked for other quotes to do other things besides sealcoating) but when it came time to actually lock it in we discovered that the low number wasn't the correct number. We had to add another number too, which made the job a lot more (though still less than the others). Arranging a time to get it done took four calls spread over several days, but they finally showed up. And their work was less than spectacular. Yes, the driveway is mostly black. But they missed some spots along the edges; they didn't bother to fill in any cracks; they actually applied the tar over weeds in situ (sort of like those online pictures of highway striping crews painting right over roadkill) leaving black plants sticking up; and they didn't edge everything properly first and part of their tar was just brushed on dirt which was on top of the driveway which instantly peeled off a day later. Now, to be fair if I had to do this all myself (not a fun job) I doubt I could have done it much better. But for $1400 we expected more. In the future I will make sure the contract clearly specifies crack filling, full edging, etc. Since their quote was the lowest and most of my driveway now has sealcoat on it I can live with it. But I will likely look elsewhere next time as you get what you pay for. Maybe our previous company spoiled us with amazing service?
