Today was my first visit at Superior Smiles Dentistry. I filled out all forms that needed to be filled out prior to my appt online, so im sure that helped with checking in. Finding this place was easy, especially since I live in the area. There is tons of parking since this dentist office is located in a beautiful shopping center. All staff wss friendly and they seemed so comfortable with each other which made me feel so at ease. I was going to give only 4 stars at first only because I had to return at a different time for my cleaning, that same day but none the less I had to leave after seeing my dentist and returnin an hour. But when i did return for my cleaning, the hygienist was awesome. I felt she took her time, explained everything to me, and did my cleaning the best I think I've ever had. Amazing dentist! The office itself is really nice but the staff and Dr. Kaur is the cherry on top. We get treated like family. Lucy is the best, she's always has patience with my daughter and is very gentle! Short wait time in the waiting room! I've been a client for several years, but the office has become extremely overbooked. If I need to cancel or reschedule due to an emergency, the next available appointment is often 6-9 months away. The office appears to be taking on too many patients and can no longer accommodate existing ones when needed. While the service itself is good, the long wait times make it no longer worth it for me. Would not go anywhere else! First off Doc is a wonderful and compassionate person while also getting business done...I am extremely sensitive to pain and have had bad experiences with other dentists. Plus you have the incredible two Ms Lucy and Ms Evelyn just amazing in their own rights. Put that together with an awesome front office and you also should only go here for any of your dental needs! Each one of my kids has more issues and pain now than before they went to this dentist ! They all have pain and sensitivity and each cried after their visits with her! I thought it was just because going to the dentist in general isn't fun but it was more than that. She was rude, dismissive , and cold. She made them feel they were dramatic and ignorant. Half of this job is hospitality and to make your time there feel calm and soothing. Especially with children. Unfortunately she isn't interested in making anyone comfortable and her staff follows suit. read more

Wow! What an amazing dental office, the staff are kind and prompt and very professional. The dentist herself Dr. Kaur is amazing, she's patient, kind, and listens to my concerns. She is a very very sweet person! I'm prone to being nervous and she is always so calm and kind and listens to me. I've had work done by her now twice and she is gentle and meticulous. First of all I felt like I had two different experiences The front off badger me, for insurance reasons, which were out of my control and did not do what they said they would do. Which was super frustrating and annoying. If its out of peoples control there is no reason to badger people or be flat out rude. Going into my appointment the dental exam tech was very informative, kind and gentle. Dr.Kaur came in and looked at my teeth and said what I needed, she was very straightforward, and told me everything she was doing. The dental hygienist was very patient, informative, and talkative. Which was nice because I was nervous. She answered all my questions thoroughly , which I appreciate because there is not a lot of people like that now and days. The dental assistant was good too she informed me of everything she was doing which was great! My family and I have been in search of a good dentist. I believe we finally found our dentist after having some bad experiences with two other ones. I had my first cleaning today and let me tell you. Not only is the facility spotless (restroom included), the staff is amazing. Shoutout to Evelyn, possibly the best hygienist in the Kern County. She was knowledgeable, caring, friendly and professional. I cant recommend this location enough. My wife had the same to say about Superior Smiles Dentistry and Evelyn. Prior to making an appointment I asked if they would see my 3 year old. They say yes so I made the appointment. We waited a long time to be seen. People being seen that barely got there. While we were waiting for more then 30 min already. Once we get call to the back the dentist stated we don't treat someone he's age. Why would they schedule us an appointment? If they don't see children at 3 years old. Then the dentist said ok will schedule you a 6 month check up. This doesn't make sense at all if they don't see someone his age. They also billed insurance for cleaning which never happened. read more

I was recommended to Superior Smiles Dentistry by my manager after having unbearable tooth pain and I can't thank her enough. Dr. Kaur is so kind and will ease anyone nerves if you have anxiety to go to the dentist like I do. The staff were amazing and very thorough. I was able to get in same day and they recommended me to an amazing place to have my root canal and were able to fit me in the next day to complete the process. I just want to say how grateful I am for Superior Smiles Dentistry. I had been stressing about my son needing general anesthesia to fix the cavities in his two front teeth. Which was recommended by his previous dentist. I am so glad I decided to take a chance and go see Dr. Harsimran Kaur. Her staff is just the nicest and she made us feel so comfortable. She allowed me to be in the room while she treated my 5 year old son which meant so much to me. The best part is she did not need to use general anesthesia or an injection. She has the most advanced technology and we were in and out in an hour. This included his x-rays, exam, cleaning and treatment. Do not take your children here! Both times that my 6 year old son came here, we have encountered an unpleasant visit. First, the dentist. She was unfriendly. She was impatient by way of her gestures, i.e. taking deep breaths, looking away, does not exert "motherly" effort to try to make my child at ease (Okay, not her job) and even walked away a couple of times because my son was scared and crying! Apparently, she does not like to deal with little kids issues. Second, Dec. 7, 2022. This time, from both the dentist and the dental hygienist, named Chris (hope I spelled his name correctly). They did not care about their demeanor or the way they acted towards the poor little patient and the impression they projected to me as a parent. The patient is a 6-year old, who has not frequented a dental clinic for Pete's sake! I thought my boy's reaction was normal -- anxious, but not unruly. He was trying to follow instructions tearfully! My boy accidentally bit the hygienist. Wow, but his reaction seemed over the top. He did not get bitten by a rabid raccoon to start acting like it is not part of the job! Maybe, it was his first, but hello, job hazards! I apologized for my son, but he did not even acknowledge. He was in a hurry to escort us out and be done with us. As for the dentist, she was the same cold-hearted specialist. As soon as my boy closed his mouth, she walked away taking those deep breathes of annoyance as usual. No friendly goodbye, but "just pay for my services and leave". What happened to bright shiny white teeth and perfect smiles that dental clinics promote? I suggest they put a sign that says, "We accept 100% cooperative children only" or "Warning: We give bad attitude to uncooperative children". That way, the paying patients' expectations are managed. We will not be coming back here. We highly do not recommend! read more
