Very unpleasant experience. I had an extraction with bone graph that required a follow up appointment to have stitches removed. I called 2 days before my scheduled post op to come in bc stitches were loose. The entire office was unavailable due to updating servers. Couldn't contact anybody until finally an office assistant called me back and told me to go to another dentist. Keep in mind I already paid for the post op appointment. I called the other dentist I was referred to, and they were also out of office until the following week. Then had to spend $283 at another dentist to have stitches removed. No reimbursement, no apologies, nothing. Terrible experience. read more

I thought Dr. Riar was excellent. I go for regular cleanings, but this last time had chipped teeth, which needed crowns. Dr. Riar did excellent work, and there was little to no pain, despite the drilling needed. I'm writing this the day after all that work was done, and am feeling perfectly fine. I don't think i've ever had a dentist that was this good. He's very professional. Also, let me say that Dr. Riar has a very good "bedside manner." He is very personable. In addition, just from my experiences at Dr. Riar's office, I see & hear that he keeps up with what is going on in the dental industry. Again, a very professional person, who definitely "takes care of business." Who could ask for anything more? read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. ATTENTION ALL: DO NOT go to this facility. This was a horrible experience. Originally I went to see this dentist for a pain in my tooth and ended up paying over $60 for the examination which is what my insurance covered however he referred me to another specialist where I paid another $180 just to do x-rays and send me right back to this dentist because I now have a cracked tooth which before I walked out of this office originally this "Dr" Riar told me my teeth were strong and then went back to tell me that they don't have the technology available to really look into the problem area so when I got sent back to this dentist, they tried to tell me I needed an extraction with a bone graph which is over $1300 and is not covered by my insurance and is an elective procedure so when I went in for the appointment this morning at 8 AM, which was my second day that I needed to take off of work which turned out to be for absolutely nothing again. "Dr" Riar himself denied my care because I refused the elective procedure and told him I did not want that. I just wanted the extraction. He went on to tell me and use profanity that if I don't get the bone graph, he doesn't want me to come back a few days later because it will be a shit show so then I started returning the same energy and using profanity back which he did not like very much and he proceeded to tell me because of this whole situation, he is now not going to do anything for me. This was one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had so basically if this doctor wants to refer a procedure and you don't take it then he has the right to deny your full care and leave you in pain like I am now so now I am in the process of looking for another dentist and getting my problem taken care of and hoping to have better luck, but this is a warning to all of you do not use this dentist. My family all went here and they referred me to this facility and now we will all be going elsewhere and I recommend you do the same. UPDATE: I have already been seen by another dentist who stated in his opinion a bone graph is NOT needed but even if he felt it was I would not and should not ever be paying $1300 for that and if I actually do need one once I meet with the oral surgeon then it'll be in the neighborhood of $200-$400. So as I said DO NOT come to "Dr" Riars office. He did me a huge favor and now I will get better HONEST treatment somewhere else. Hope this helps others stay away from this place! read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Unfortunately, in order to leave a review, I had to select one star--consider this star a warning, not praise. Do NOT go to this facility. My brother, a cancer survivor, went in for a procedure that was recommended after his prior appointment. Instead of providing honest, professional care, this dentist attempted to fraudulently alter his diagnosis in order to justify unnecessary procedures. This is not only unethical, but dangerous. As a cancer survivor, my brother cannot risk infections caused by careless or negligent dental work--yet that is exactly what this office was prepared to subject him to. On top of this negligence, the dentist attempted to charge outrageous, unjustified fees. When we refused, his unprofessionalism escalated--he used profanity, displayed hostility, and completely disregarded the basic standards of patient respect. Naturally, the energy was returned. This is not just bad service; this is fraud, negligence, and exploitation. It is absolutely disgusting to think of how many patients may have been pressured into paying thousands of dollars for procedures that were never necessary in the first place. In today's times, every dollar counts--and people deserve to pay doctors who are attentive, honest, and worthy of trust. We will be filing a formal complaint with the State of California and pursuing legal action. Patients deserve to be warned: always get a second opinion if you've been treated here. They don't even deserve the one star!! I have gone to this dentist for a couple of times and felt it was pretty good until yesterday. Never in my life have I ever heard of a professional using profanity to discuss a treatment plan and try to FORCE my husband to have unnecessary and costly procedures recommending opening a line of credit to get the work done. When questioned because the insurance and other dental professionals stated the procedures were unnecessary, this dentist decided to be rude and unprofessional to my husband! NO ONE deserves to be treated in such a manner!! If you work in a place to service people, then your focus should be just that! Take care of them and this place CERTAINLY DID NOT! It was a waste of time and money for my husband and luckily we were able to get the care he needed by another office that not only confirmed what we had been told but also made sure to treat my husband with the respect he deserves just as anyone who is asking for help should get. They only give you a 5 minute grace period to get to your appointment. If you don't get there within five minutes of one, your appointment is they cancel your appointment and you have to go back home. I was two minutes late and they were warning me. I had two minutes otherwise I was going to be canceled. Not a place to be recommended . You never know if you are going to be seen or not. Because you might be two minutes too late. read more

They cancelled appointments because they said they arrived a minute late without paperwork. Was submitted online. Appointment times are not exactly what they text you or tell you. Although they give you different appointment times it doesn't mean that is what staff explained to me via phone. Dentist was great however I'll find a dentist who's office does better scheduling and relaying information. read more

Very disappointed. My mom went here as a new patient & they did a full mouth xray without checking the frequency limitation with the insurance & called my mom 1 month after to pay for the xray since the insurance didn't pay them. As a former dental employee, we always checked frequency limitations w. insurances to avoid inconveniences like these. My mom also kept calling them regarding her deep cleaning that her insurance said was approved, but they wanted to charge her the full amount when the insurance was going to cover some of it. I was extremely nervous when I had found out that my previous dentist was retiring. If you know me you would know that I cant stand change. I know this is normal for most people but not me. After my first visit and then my wifes first visit my mind was at ease. This has to be the best dental office that I have ever dealt with. At first, the staff was amazing. I scheduled a 6-month appointment for cleaning in advance. They called me 2 days prior to my appointment stating they no longer take appointments on Friday! Really, when was this decided? And, they were not accommodating to reschedule my appointment. Whatever, I went to another dentist office and was told that my filling needs replacing... I just have the same filling replaced at Dr. Riar less than 18 months ago. I believe the "new" dental office because I am constantly digging food out of my back teeth. I'm not sure if it was the material he used but my filling didn't last. read more

Today was my first time going to Dr. Riar for a consult on a implant procedure that I thought was necessary due to a dental debacle some yrs. back by a different Dr. Fast forward Dr. Riar indicated that the procedure I thought was going to be necessary nor implant was necessary and that he would just file down a the crown on the tooth that became the issue of concern . The diagnosis of my situation not only saved me time and money it saved the un-necessary pain that I would have had to endure both pre/post procedure . I just had my appointment with Dr. Riar today . It was a wonderful experience. The bottom front 6 teeth were in horrible shape. They were worn down from age and grinding my teeth at night.
