Hank's Excavating & Landscaping was awarded a contract through the City of Belleville in October…read more2022. The contract stated that the company had 25 days to complete various parts of the project and they should have the manpower to start and complete the project within 2 weeks of accepting the it. They didn't start until almost a month later, November 2022, and they are still not complete. They have road signs still blocking the street and left damage everywhere. The video I have of the project, from December 2022 and February 2023, look exactly the same. The Mayor and The City Engineer said they didn't have any control over when companies start projects or when they have to be done. We have been on the news several times about the work, the damage, and the timeline. The Mayor stopped answering calls and emails and left my elderly parents to handle their own city contract. It has been a horrible experience, dealing with this company and the City of Belleville, and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Our neighbors had to join us in a complaint, both to the company and on TV. At this point, I just want them to complete the project, in its entirety, and issue a formal apology for the time it has taken. The City of Belleville and Hank's Excavating and Landscaping should be ashamed of themselves because the residents of Belleville deserve better.
