This is by the far the best thrift store around. I have never been one to shop at thrift stores but my hubby started showing me great deals that he had picked up at thrift stores and he peaked my interest. I was amazed at all the great stuff I found at amazing prices! Some of the things were name brands like Bebe and Calvin Klein, I have found things with tags still on them and never worn and also things that have been worn maybe once! My daughter had to wear a white dress shirt and black slacks for a class at school. I was able to buy her 4 or 5 outfits to pick from for around $30! Who can beat that? I have also found great deals on black Blazers when we needed to wear them to work as part of a dress code. I had about a dozen I had found at Superior, all reasonably priced and fashionable. Excellent, helpful staff! Don't stress about buying large items here. They help you with EVERYTHING. I with a few reviews that the prices are high on the high side on their clothing and household items, but most of the furniture pieces are a steal. And the staff are amazing. I have lived in Stockton most of my life, and when Superior Thrift came around, I said, "Wow, this is something new! They've got everything from vintage items to new items. Me and my wife can spend hours in there just looking through all their treasures. Over the years, I have especially appreciated Superior Thrift providing valuable coupons toward a purchase. Sometimes the coupons would be on my grocery receipt. Now I rip them out of the Neighborhood Shopper coupon I receive in my mail. I didn't have much time here, since we needed to be back in town at a certain time to relieve my babysitter. But in the 15-20 minutes I spent here I found a lot of treasures. A Pochacco box for $1.97, my daughter got some Disney crayons for $3, my daughter picked out a cute GAP top for her little sister for $4, I found a Raffi CD for a $1.97, and a couple more things. I liked that when we were in line and more people started getting in line, they were quick to open another register. Great customer service. I can't wait to come back and spend more time. It is such a shame that I don't live in Stockton because I really adore this place. First of all, it's way cheaper compare to goodwill and salvation army. You can find a top for $1-2.99 at superior thrift store. The place is huge compare to San Francisco thrift stores so there are tons of selections. There are lots of vintage stuff and they are not overly priced. The workers were nice and they provided good service. It's hard to find parking though because there were a lot of people. I heard that a lot of people goes there on a daily basis. My friends and I went on a Wednesday at 1 AM and parking was still horrible! I heard there's a 20% discount on thursday if ur a student. I personally don't really like this thrift store. Their selection is huge, but the quality of the clothes is not that great. They have a lot of older/more worn out clothes compared to other thrift stores. I try to give this store multiple chances, but out of all the times I have went, I only bought 1 thing from there, but the 1 thing I bought is an absolutely amazing jean jacket. When I can across the jacket, I instantly fell in love. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here, but if I'm in the neighborhood, I might stop by. read more

Always have something I want when I walk in, they seem like they constantly restock so I can come in one day to find things and a couple days later and find even better items. I've found very cute pieces for extremely cheap which is always fun for a dedicated thrifter. They have very in-fashion and name brand items, which typical thrift stores don't usually have. I hadn't been there in awhile due to the better prices in Modesto. Now that's dried up, so I can be disappointed without wasting as much gas. I think the buyer for this store is tired of working. Who is going to buy rows and rows of the same book about Grand Ol' Opry? The draw used to be the unusual and even mass produced things from long ago. I never saw two of the same things at the same time. Now, I'm seeing so many of the same things on the same rack. What saboteur-store buyer purchases hideous flowered jeans with 10 in each size? So few people can wear them and it's just mean to the public when those who shouldn't, wear them anyway. The mediocre stuff has really jumped in price. The last 4-5 times, I saw stuff, but it was overpriced so I left empty handed- AGAIN. read more

Ok so, I've been second hand shopping since I was in high school..my thrift shop fashion days. Really, though, you can find some really good deals for less and still in top-notch condition. You can score really unique, vintage housewares and clothing. Well anyway, I thought they opened up at 8am so I showed up this morning to get my thrift hunt on at 8:15. Yea that early because whenever I go when everyone else goes there is no dang parking and there is nothing good. There were 3 cars in the lot and people were standing outside the door. Really?? It's not open yet?? More cars pull in and they go stand outside. Two other trucks and a Lexus drive in, and out gets a family. A nice Mercedes Benz pulls in, out come 2 little ladies, and they go stand outside. Man, this is getting critical...they're on a mission, too. I best go stand outside before they swoop up the good stuff. So the doors opened at 9am and everyone walked in like they were still half-asleep..I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a frenzy going in like Black Friday. I mean, we did do all the standing & waiting outside for the shop to open..it would have made it a little more exciting at least :p Anyway, I found some good stuff and I think going in the mornings is your best bet. read more

My family & I use to really like shopping here. After today, my family and I won't be back. I'm not going to pay for something, especially when it's $6-9, like a workout tank top (not a sports bra) a TANK TOP, unless I can try it on first, all clothes fit differently. I had 6 or 7 different tanks, I went to try them on & was told I couldn't because the tag was Pink! WTF!? Ok, no problem. Be careful in the parking lot and keep a eye on your car, they have a lot of theft. We had to put an alarm on our suv because someone came in the back window, ripped our stereo out and tossed everything around (they were parked next to us in a primer grey Honda, we thought is strange that they got into their car so fast and took off when we were walking to our car). read more

Definitely the best thrift store in the valley. I usually go out a couple of times a month and never leave without a cartload of stuff. Tons of clothes that are well organized and reasonably priced. Great kids clothes section. Furniture section is small but you can find great deals. They also run coupons on the back of Safeways receipts to save you even more. I do agree that parking is sometimes a pain but it's worth it. Just bring hand sanitizer for after you're done! read more

Great spot about 3 mins away from outlet thrift and found that this place is huge. All I can say is if you can find something in outlet thrift this place should be your next stop. The price is fair over all but I do think they should do more discount tagging that way they can sell more stuff out of the store quicker. I feel that if they just drop the price by a 25% or more I was willing to grab it and buy it. Since I found the same item in outlet thrift for cheap. Sooo.... usually i would give them more stars than this. BUT let me explain. Ok so, went by yesterday for a look-see and there's a line at the fitting rooms... but NO associate to be found,. She finally comes out the bathroom- rubber gloves and all- and has the nerve to give US attitude. Myself, and the lady ahead of me politely ask for a room, and this old broad cuts us both off- mid-sentence- and points angrily 'right there'. As if WE are inconveniencing HER. So I call and complain, but the manager honestly seems to give less than 2 craps about what I had to say. To top it off: The selection's not all it used to be since more and more dealers found out about it. You just KNOW they're re-selling the stuff, the way their carts are packed to the ceiling. Its SO annoying. They aren't even gonna wear the stuff. Need to take those grubby paws elsewhere. THIS PLACE SELLS A LOT OF FAKE MERCHANDISE. THEY DO NOT DO ANY CHECKS. THEY PRICE AS IF THEY ARE AUTHENTIC, KNOWING THEY ARE NOT. ACTUALLY NO ONE THERE KNOWS FAKE FROM AUTHENTIC. BE VERY CAREFUL. This place is very expensive now. They think they are a boutique. Their prices were reasonable until a nice pair of jeans are up to either $14 to $49.99. Nice shirts are $14 if not higher. This company owns other thrift stores that I used to shop at. Those others have raised their prices as well. They are a FOR PROFIT thrift store. That means they give a minimal amount to charities. They also use the disabled veterans as a way to get donations, which they overcharge for. We have decided to shop in other places like Nordstrom Rack. At least for $50 you get something new. A little high in price but they do have nice stuff and some of it is brand new still in the package, they have everything including furniture. You can get coupons from the back of receipts from winco and Safeway which is pretty cool if you remember to keep those receipts. They do not accept coupons shown from the smart phones which is not so cool but eh. They have their clothes sorted by size gender and type it is very easy to find what you're looking for. Went here for the first time today bc one of my kids had a cheer competition out here this morning. It's a big thrift store with lots of womens clothing. I guess you can say their "better" clothing is located in the front but its literally chained and locked to the rack so you can't remove it.. I thought that was interesting.. They had true religions and Marc Jacobs clothing there but it was like $30 for a pair of true religions. I know they're worth way more than that but I look for a better deal on them at a thrift store.. They also had a lot of knockoff designer bags like Louis and Gucci. Didn't interest me bc I've got the real thing.. So moving on... There were lots of interesting "characters" shopping here. One woman in the aisle told me she hadnt showered in god knows how long but felt fortunate bc she found $30 and now could shop for new clothes bc all she had was the outfit she had on....ok... Thx for sharing.. I was on a mission to find designer clothing at great prices.. So after scouring the racks I came out with quite a few jewels. Long sleeve shirts and short sleeve shirts are not separated so if you are looking for them in 2 separate sections don't bother. I came out with some cute Anthropologie sweaters, jcrew And some cute designer clothes for my girls as well. The store was clean overall and even had furniture, kids toys.. I didn't get to look all the way through it. One thing I found odd was that upon entering the store there's a security guard standing there staring me down with my youngest sleeping in her stroller. I felt like I had to explain I had my sleeping child in there just to get by and get in the store.. ! Not sure why he was looking at me like you're not allowed to bring strollers in or what? But after seeing clothes chained down maybe they're afraid people will use a stroller to steal clothing? The line moved fast for checkout and the sales girls was very friendly and efficient, If I'm back in the area I will definitely be back for more bargains. I used to go for the polo shirts that my husband wore to work....and the unique t-shirs with the bands my kids liked, but since retirement and with kids gone, I go for myself.
