He had his graduation party a couple weeks ago and we thought it would be a good idea to get catering from here. We got a 20lb tray of carne asada and a 20lb tray of the pollo asada and we were not only very disappointed but really embarassed. We had over 50 family / friends / coworkers who I had bragged to about how good their tacos were and the meat was subpar at best. When I think of pollo and carne asada I imagine well spiced, cut up grilled steak and chicken. I got 2 X 20 lbs trays of tasteless tan and brown pellets. No sign of browning, grill marks or taste. Some might argue it wasn't really meat. Just ruined the stuff... Guacamole was good, the flour tortillas and chips were pretty good, but when the main protein(s) suck, the event can't really recover. Service was relatively nice. I am so puked out because I trusted them. Coughing up over $500 for their garbage to feed people I love, I can't help but take it a little personal. Never going back.

The average price in Michigan for organic Cauliflower is under $5. Hollywood is going broke right now and trying to keep a float by over charging their customers. I used to go there because of convenience and the prices weren't that bad. Now I can't even run there if I forget cheese because it's so overpriced. It's very upsetting that this company is taking advantage of their customers.

This place carries some of the most exotic items that you won't find in a regular store or sometimes in your region. I saw cocao pods! This was so wild to me because I've always seen these mainly in the south. The store has some of the most fresh finds, liquors and wines, produce....and so on! So, although they had many many products from my mother land I can't say I'm running back here. The store is small enough to keep an eye on expired stuff! Rotate! Fortunately I had bacon at home and although it didn't have tocino I managed without it. I was also able to find papel para pasteles and the string! So they got an extra star for that and calderos! This place not only carries Mexican and Puerto Rican groceries, but also foods from Central and South America. I bought a package of frozen pupusas which are a delicacy in El Salvador and my mom bought some real Colombian coffee. They have a variety of different Latin American foods although I was disappointed that there wasn't a bakery. However I must say this. DO NOT let the neighborhood deter you. It is quite awesome and the people who work there are Colombian and very nice too. If you're ever in the area, give this place a try. You'll be amazed.
