Got a gel pedicure & dip manicure on Wednesday. The total was $119 which I thought was pretty expensive but I was the last person in the nail place and they were trying to close so I just decided to not ask questions. By Friday (2 days later) my nails were already starting to chip and crack. It is now Sunday (4 days later) and this is how they look. Usually a dip mail lasts anywhere from 3-4 weeks where I usually go. Very disappointed that I spend wya more than I usually do for nails that have lasted me 4 days. Also- forgot to add. The nails have been disintegrating off as well. They will chip and then continue to disintegrate (ex. The pointer finger in the first picture). read more

Do. Not. Go. Here. After 2 hours and multiple re-do's I was DONE. This is a dip mani with tips put on. They were thick, lumpy and felt like almonds glued to my nails. I asked for white and got a yellowy-gross "white". Apart from the trash mani, the lady continually got up to answer the phone during my mani. I counted 22 times. I'm the easiest person to please and it takes a lot for me to complain. THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE TIMES I DIDN'T MIND. Save yourself the trouble. Go to Serenity Nails in Highland. read more

I rarely treat myself to get my nails did but so glad I did this time. I called late on sunday night and they were kind enough to stay open late for me. I had an nail emergency, if there is such a thing! I needed them to look good for a conference I was speaking at and was flying out the next day so I needed it done last minute. It wouldn't have been so last minute but I tried to go the the place at the rosedale mall the day before and left because I waited over a half an hour in cold water and the place was filthy. Don't go to the mall, come here instead. Less wait and it's really clean and the service is great. They have been voted the best nail shop in st. paul this year and the owner takes great pride in her shop. I got my gel nails about 2 weeks ago and they have taken a beating with all my travels, lugging around heavy suitcases. Every time I banged them I was sure they would crack or come off but NOPE they are so strong and every one is still in tact! The polish too is still shiny and looks brand new, unbelivable. The prices are reasonable and considering how long they are lasting, even a good deal. I also got a pedicure which was done fast and well. They said to call ahead if you want to come during lunch they will be sure to get you in/out in time. I'll be back soon for my fill... My mom went here for her bi weekly gel pedicure. The lady working on her decided to start peeling off my moms gel polish without the whole soaking and wrapping to loosen it first. My mom, in slight pain asked her what on earth she was doing. The woman told her that's how they do it. There was a woman sitting across from them with toes wrapped removing the gel so she knew that wasn't the case. Anyways, the woman ripped off part of moms nail and when confronted the woman said "you came in like this" hey went back and forth and then my mom was called a liar by staff member. Manager jetted off to the back and was nowhere to be found. Mom finally walked out and they had the nerve to say "you're not paying?" Nope. She sure didn't. She's now having to go see a podiatrist. SO bad! My mom and I came in here last weekend and I've been so annoyed that each day I remind myself to get on Yelp and let people know! This is mainly because I chose this salon based on Yelp reviews and don't want that to happen to another yeper! Both my mom and I had a pedicure and I also had a manicure. My main gripe is just that they do a bad job; they BARELY clean up the cuticles and forget about scraping off the dead skin on the heels, etc. It was just a very lackadaisical job. My manicure was a mess and chipped by the next day. The two women that did my nails, at the same time per my request, were very sweet and kind and did indeed fix a broken nail of mine, but overall the job was lacking as by the next day I felt like I needed a mani/pedi to recover and clean up all the dead skin everywhere. It should be known that I live in New York City and nail salons here are cheap and awesome. I get my nails regularly done at a place that charges $15 dollars for a pedi and $7 for a mani and my nails and feet sparkle for weeks after. I think the problem here is that Minnesota just has very little competition for the salons to work hard and offer fair prices. My mani/pedi was $37 and my mom's super sad pedi was $25. The guy that did my mom's pedi was completely checked out and seemed annoyed that she did not want the spa pedicure. We wanted a treat for my visit home and instead we were both bummed out. I finally got my first pedicure. As a 23 year old, I can finally say I feel like a woman. I have nothing to compare my pedicure to, or any salon to compare Super Nails to, but I think everything was great. My pedicurist was super friendly and efficient. We laughed a lot together, even though I couldn't understand what she was saying for the majority of the time. For my 'spa pedicure' I got my nails painted, a nice foot/leg massage, cuticle cleaning, scraping of my heels, and a whole bunch of other stuff that made my feet look nice and smell nice, even though I had no idea what she was doing. All this for $25. The location itself was nice, tucked inside of a strip mall between Walgreens and Byerlys, and it's close to my house. The inside was clean, and I was watching other employees clean after each customer, and they did a good job of that too. All in all, these people know what they're doing, do a good job at it, it's not overpriced, and although there was a definite language barrier, I enjoyed myself and I feel like my pedicurist and I bonded. read more

Busy little joint, but very accommodating with a very nice staff! This is now my new nail spot. I've been lost for a few years now, but this is it. I've been what I would call a regular here since mid 2013. I've had most of the people do my pedicures and manicures, but I found Diana 2 to be my favorite, and she knows what color I prefer! She takes her time and I find my gel manicure lasts much longer when Diana 2 does them. She also did my last pedicure and my feet looked fantastic when she finished. This place gets busy, so I've gotten into the habit of making an appointment. They can usually take me same day or the next, but walking in can be tricky, even at 11:00 on a Monday. I had a Gel French mani and the very sweet Courtney was my nail artist. She did an excellent job, my nails looks fantastic. If you want a great gel mani go to Super Nails Spa and ask for Courtney. Friendly staff but the attention to detail was lacking. I had acrylic nails put on last week and the technician nicked my cuticle with the dremel/filer which is still not healed and the fill was so far away from the edges of my nail that it looked like the nails were added over a week ago. I had to go and have them filled already the next day by a more experienced salon. I did appreciative the shoulder massage I received while my nails were drying but that was the only thing that brought this review up to 3 stars. read more

Do Not Go Here! Total Rip Off My daughter, two grandchildren and I made a same day appointment. Gel mani/pedi for us and the little girls mani/pedi. Nice enough people but poor product, application and understanding of what was wanted and expected. Cracked within two days and returned for new manicures. Commotion and a change to a different person doingmy daughters nails because she was Questioned as to how it happened. Mine cracked again in two days. I walked out with a bill of $270 for laughable luxury??? Please be aware that this is a dirty little and crowded"spa" with poor customer service. I contacted Lee about my disappointment and did not receive a response. Would you go here on this recommendation?? Service and cleanliness are my priority after an actual good job. Got a manicure today, had them take off my fake nails off. She didn't grind my nails down at all, instead lifted them up a little bit and peeled them off. I verbalized several times that it was painful and pulled my hand away several times. She said that it was going to be painful. As she was on my last thumb I said something was very sharp and poking me to which she handed me the tool she was using as said "you do yourself then". Once my nail was off I noticed that my thumb was bleeding and that the nail was torn. She continued the manicure and never soaked my nails or pushed back the cuticle. Not to mention my nails are all uneven and some are long while others are short how I wanted them. read more

When Chimeren raves about a nail salon the way she did, I'm going to take notice. My travel plans fell through, and I was overdue. The main draw is that it's in my favorite strip mall. Plenty of Convenient parking, and I've kind of had it with Rosedale Mall myself, only thing left for me is Big Bowl. I walk in and a guy greets me, asks what kind of nails I have and to pick a color. It's my first experience with the gel nails and they use the Harmony/Gelish brand. Turns out Ben is the one who will do my manicure. He is very meticulous and gentle with a file. I've been sliced before by people who file like they're in the Indy 500. After it's over, he sprays my hands with alcohol. I'm thinking this is different. Then I'm brought over and told to dip my hands 4 times. Part of this is a paraffin wax, and an arm massage. $30.00, and my sparkly white gel polish looks great on hands that no longer look 90 years old. This is crazy. read more

So I got a mani/pedi 5 days ago and I'm in shock - my nails still look amazing! I chose bright coral polish and expected chips to show up in a day or so but as of today, I dont have a single chip - even on my fingernails. I'm absolutely floored at how great they look after a full 5 days!!! The pedis at Supernails Spa are pretty nice. They have awesome massage chairs and a TV for you to watch. The technicians work fast and they seem somewhat hurried. This isn't a place you go to chat with your technician - they are there to get you in and out ASAP. There was a bit of a language barrier and I had some trouble getting them to use the fragrance free lotion I brought with me but it all worked out ok. Like I said, this isn't a place you go to be completely pampered but a great nail salon to go to when you just need to get a great mani/pedi without breaking the bank. It's a technical vibe versus spa vibe but that's ok with me! The only reason I knocked it down a star is because they don't use entirely hypoallergenic products (lotion) and they dont have all the latest colors. They have plenty of colors to choose from, just not all the latest OPI and Essie collections, which quite a few salons do. Tip: They offer student discount and other coupons on their website. Came for a deluxe pedicure on an early Friday afternoon after reading the positive reviews here. I get my toenails did approximately twice a year (if that) and I truthfully have been to only a handful of nail salons in my lifetime. Nonetheless, this place impressed me. There were only a couple people there when I arrived. I was seated in a chair immediately and within five minutes Lam was working on my feet. By the time I left, all but two of the ten chairs were in use. Almost everyone else appeared to be a regular. Lam was super friendly and immediately asked me for my name and introduced herself. That was about the extent of our conversing. She did ask only once if I wanted a manicure (my fingernails are a hot mess) and I declined - there was no pressure which was awesome. English was not a problem. The deluxe pedi lasted for about an hour (super thorough) and with the extra I paid for a design (a cute flower with a rhinestone) it came out to $40. Kinda pricey but totally worth it. This will be my future pedicure place. Efficient, friendly, clean. I anticipate my pedi will look good for several weeks - the girl sitting next to me remarked that her french pedi lasted almost a month. I usually treat myself to a manicure about once a year. They cost too much and I don't have the time. But then I decided that I was wrong and it WAS all about me and my hands looked awful. Normally I go to Juut but it costs so much and takes a long time. So I tried Super Nails. I had seen them before when in the strip mall and figured if the Byerly's clientele hadn't run them out of town yet, they must be okay. I read the few reviews I could find and they were all good. It was hard to understand the guy who worked on my nails but they look AWESOME and will for 4 weeks cuz I got the gel polish! I can easily say that I am Super Satisfied with Super Nails and will definitely be back. read more

THE WORST SALON I'VE EVER BEEN TO! That goes for service quality, product selection, ambience, customer service, and especially cleanliness. Today I had the worst pedicure of 20 years of pedicuring. I have been there a few times for nails and have not been impressed, today sealed it with the feet. Starts with choosing a color - their polish is sitting in their front window, old and faded. I was here a year ago and they had the same old bottles of pink that faded to yellow. They add chemicals to thin it and keep using it. Customer Service - rude, inattentive, and super chatty with their co-workers while not paying attention to my feet in the slightest. I had to point out to her that my toenails were crooked (like, super crooked) 3 times and finally filed them myself!! She then told me that they charge $5 for callous removal and I approved. But then she spent a mere 20 seconds on each foot while chatting with her coworker. I finally told her if I'm going to pay extra for callous removal, please remove my friggin callous! She looked at me like I was crazy. Salon - they DEFINITELY DO NOT STERILIZE! I was disgusted by the overall cleanliness. I visually noted that the pedicure tubs were not washed between appointments, the utensils were thrown back in a group basket, and - ewwww - they reuse the paraffin wax! They even keep the used cotton balls that remove polish in a big jar. And you sit in "massage" chairs that are old, torn, and broken. At this point I probably should have gotten up and walked out. But I didn't and the remainder was just as bad. I'm not a very confrontational person, so having to file my own nails and repeatedly tell her my callouses weren't close to gone, was not normal for me. If they had been nice it would be hard for me to post this. But they weren't. Learn from my waste of 2 hours and spend your money somewhere else! read more

Just got out of this establishment with a friend where we both got pedicures. The lady that did mine asked if I wanted a luxury pedicure and I said yes. Let me tell you, if you absolutely have to go to this place, do not and I repeat, DO NOT accept the luxury pedi! It's a total waste of money, I have had way better at other nail spas. Then it came time to pay, why is she charging us $70??? It was supposed to be $60 as I'm the only one who accepted a 'luxury' pedicure! This isn't the closest salon to my house but I was here and had time to kill... So here I am getting a pedicure and manicure and I have to pay extra for them to remove my nasty calluses? Why? Isn't that why I get pedicures every two weeks?!! If they'd spend less time gossiping in the native language and put that attention to detain into what they're doing maybe it would be a petter experience. Went here to get acrylics on before my wedding (2 weeks early to make sure they did them right--thank goodness). They got to me quickly which was nice but as soon as my tech sat down she acted like I was a huge inconvenience. Kept looking at her watch and phone. She never prepped my original nails (cutting the nail or cuticle) so when she put the acrylics on she kept cutting me with the dremel (sp?). When I'd flinch shed ask if it hurt, I'd say yes I'm bleeding because she's cutting me and then she kept doing it! Don't go here to have a new set put on if you want to keep your natural nails. I had a pink and white done here (on their recommendation) about a month and a half ago. I would have given them a 5 at the time. I got lazy and didn't get my fill done on time so asked them to do a new set today. I ended up walking out because the nail tech literally ripped about a third of my left thumb nail loose (the whole right side of the nail) trying to take off the nails (I was bleeding). The so-called manager kept trying to explain why it happened (supposedly pink/white is harder to take off) but in 10 years I've never had someone rip part of my nail off removing artificial nails. Heck, I've never even ripped part of my nail off taking them off myself. So don't go here if you value your natural nails. read more

My deluxe mani-pedi was the nearly the worst I've ever had (the worst award belongs to Colleen & Co, but that's another story). I was rushed through an expensive gel manicure at the same time I was getting a "deluxe" pedicure! You haven't lived until you've had to balance an electronic UV gel drying machine on your knees over a tub of water while getting your feet filed at the same time. It was almost like I was being punk'd by Ashton Kutcher, I have never seen anything like it. Both technicians KNEW I was uncomfortable, because I point-blank told them that I had a fear of water and electricity mixing, but they clearly were more concerned about "quitting time" than they were about my comfort level. To top it off, the he/she technician giving me a manicure nearly sprained my wrist while "massaging" me and I had to wear a wrist support for a day and a half. Nearly a week later, it still hurts Instead of having a manicure at a table, I had to keep twisting my arms to one side so that the technician could work on them - extremely uncomfortable. The whole experience was a joke, I am still kicking myself for even paying them $75 for this torture. Shame on them! Other annoyances included cold water from the get-go (I requested a "warm up" twice and finally gave up trying to explain the difference between warm and cold water), there was no sea salt additive to the water (supposedly included with Deluxe) and zero dry time for the pedicure as they were closing shop for the night. Normally, the pedicure would dry during the manicure, but as I said previously, I had the manicure while sitting in a pedicure chair - so no dry time. While I am at it, I must say that I am extremely tired of hearing Asian nail techs converse in Karen or Cantonese, or whatever their native language is - it reminds me of a Seinfeld episode from years ago where Elaine discovered that the Asian staff was ridiculing her in their native language during her pedicures. Bottom line - It is RUDE to speak in a foreign tongue in front of an English-speaking clients. Period. Coupled with a crappy service, well, I am NOT a happy camper. Bottom line - I left feeling more stressed out and in pain than I was when I came in the door. I even waited a week before posting this review to calm down, and since I am still upset, here it is. Trust me, I would rather buy a UV machine from Ulta and do my nails myself. I will never set foot in this place again. read more

Blood, dirt, and nails worse for then when I started. I went to Supernails Spa for the first time this weekend. I joined my Mom and sister for Mothers Day. While I am a guy, I have had my nails done regularly so I have an idea of what makes a good manicure. There really was no highlight to this visit. The technician cut my cuticles so harsh and far that 4 of my fingers were bleeding. She did not buff my nails but instead used a board that left deep and noticeable scratches in my nails. She slapped on the clear coat while my nails were still bleeding and never made mention of the injury. After I left I had to remove the polish, wash my hands several times to clean out dirt and dried blood. Then I had to wear Band-Aids because the cuts were so severe. I was appalled at how I was treated, the condition of my nails, and potential infection she has left me with. I would never recommend this location, this staff, and highly recommend to go elsewhere. read more

Worst nail salon ever! I have had three different techs work on my nails. 1st experience they couldn't get the lengths correct on my nails and would get frustrated when I would ask for them to file the nails so they matched 2nd experience I was there for over two and a half hours. I believe I was the first customer of this nail tech. At one point I had two different techs working on my hands at the same time. I waited 6 months to go back for my 3rd and final time. During this experience I could see the acrylic was bumpy and did not even cover an entire nail. When I would question the tech I was told they could start all over. Not wanting to be there for 2.5 hours again I just let it go. When he was done painting my nails I asked why they had streaks and was told it wasn't his fault but it was mine for choosing a poor color. I've had acrylic nails for years and this is by far the worst set ever. I will never go back and hope others do not waste their time and money on this salon! read more
