I showed up here with my buddy as a last resort looking for some late night fun in Southwest Portland A couple weeks ago and I think we got there at around 10 PM it was packed but a lot of fun. I thought the service was very good and the food was decent for a bowling alley. I also left my phone there by accident and I was able to get in contact with the owner by calling them when they weren't open, and I got my phone back, you know what losing your phone is like. Went here for a company event with my team today and had a great time. We went back and forth between the laser tag and bowling for most of the time. The laser tag is wonderful! They have a fun and challenging arena that has a lot of places to develop a unique strategy for your team. The facility was well maintained and all of the vests and guns we in good working order. They had several different game modes to keep things interesting. The guy running the laser tag was was really helpful and great at his job. The bowling was fun, however there were some technical issues with the screen showing the scores. Luckily the info is also on the smaller screen where you enter the information. Lanes were decent, and the ball selection was good. I wish it was more organized by the size and weight, but overall not a huge deal. The arcade was but lacking in my opinion, with 50% of the games being a somewhat scam to try and win tickets. The games were fairly well worn as well, with some out of order and others that should have been. Not very uncommon for an arcade to have these issues though. I was there on Sunday afternoon with my son. The place was empty, there was only one lane playing. We got a lane, and started playing. I ordered food for us. Hamburger with tots for my son and calamari for myself. Hamburger came plain with nothing on it! I mean just meat and a bun. I had no idea I had to ask for ingredients, and waitress did not offer it. So we had to wait until she brings side of vegetables and mayo for my son. My calamari was the worst I've ever tried. It felt like I am eating very salty cheese sticks, but not calamari! I read others' reviews on their food, and now I understand that their food is awful. Will never order food there again. And will try to go to new Sunset Lanes instead, where food and service are exellent. read more

Went to SuperPlay on fourth of July with two other people. They had a deal, 30 dollars per person for unlimited bowling. It was pretty fun and we played until we got sick of it. Bowling was like any other bowling place. Nothing too special. They also gave us $5 arcade cards to play and win prizes. They had dumb prizes but the cards were free anyways. I think I got invisible ink and smarties. I never actually used the invisible ink though. read more

I should've know better. I had a bad experience at SuperPlay a year ago but I made a mistake of giving them another chance. A huge mistake. This place seems always understaffed and service is slow. There doesn't seem to be good communication among staff. I made a point to stop by the evening before the event and ordered and prepaid $95 for 4 large pizzas for take out around the same time next day. SuperPlay literally had a 24-hour notice. When we walked in next day at pick up time, our order was not ready. SuperPlay had no clue about our order. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes before our order was handed to us. They never offered any discount or partial refund for their lateness. And on top of that they gave us 2 wrong pizzas out of 4 that I had ordered. It was very disappointing that our party elsewhere was started late because of their lateness and some people at the party did not get to eat because pizzas especially ordered for them were not given to us by SuperPlay. Kids had fun but EXPENSIVE. $30 for 2 hours bowling, $25 for 3 cokes and awful cheese sticks and pretzels with cheese, and $25 for 3 single-play laser tag passes. I did get three $5 game cards with the bowling so that helped a bit. I'm admittedly biased, though. I usually avoid places like this because they're nothing more than a money trap fueled by rambunctious kids asking for this, that, or the other. Had my 9yo's bday party here and it was great! Super organized, friendly staff, and we didn't have to do anything except show up. They decorated the table for us and everything. The bowling alley was really nice and the lanes were great; however, the reason for only 3 stars was that it wasn't tremendously busy and the food and drink service was sooooo slow. We had to wait about 20 mins to get on a lane and then we played a whole game (with 7 bowlers all on one lane) before receiving the pizzas we ordered then maybe 10 to 15 mins later we received the wings we ordered. If we decided to bowl only one game we would have had to stay afterwards to finish eating. Anyhow, overall it was still a good experience. I'd still go back to give it another shot. read more

Had a chance to try this place with our colleagues Friday afternoon . We took a package that's hourly charged which includes bowling / laser tag / arcade . The place looked bit old but tidy . Go to big als or king pins. Bad service. Went to this place for bowling. We were told there was a wait despite there being lanes open. We were told a 30 min wait. We decided to wait and grab a couple beers. After an hour I went up to check. 2 guys looked at a clipboard where I clearly saw our name (not crossed out) and two other names below me (crossed out). I proceeded to ask "did you call our name" and the guys said yes. So I asked when and they said "15 minutes ago". That upset me as how did they have people crossed out so quickly if they had just called out our names 15 minutes ago. My partner also stated he never heard our name get called. We were just sitting at the bar. No disruptions. The manager took care of us and got us a lane quickly. After a few minutes of getting the lane I went back to the bar to get beer. The manager asked me how the lane was and I said thank you. I overheard a man at the bar in a jersey ask her if we had just not heard our name get called. The man and the manager had a small chat but assumption was that we were being blamed. I don't blame the guys at the bowling desk. I blame the system. I love coming here on the weekends with my family. The overall value is good and we always have a good time. That being said, they are always terribly understaffed. The booth to check in for bowling never seems prepared to deal with a line of more than 2 people. Trying to get food when they are even the slightest bit busy turns into a 15 minute wait just to order food. We will keep coming because it is close to the house but it would be great if they could figure out a way to be a little more efficient. I needed to find a laser tag venue for our church's youth group. After contacting three different places in the Beaverton area, Superplay was the winner with the best value. Mike was prompt to respond after I submitted an online inquiry form. He called to give me the details and he was so personable, friendly, and easy to talk with. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. Only a $50 deposit was required, and we paid the rest the night we were there. When we got to Superplay, we got everything that Mike promised we would in our discussion. For a group of about 20 adults and youth, we got three pizzas and bottomless beverages for an hour, and unlimited laser tag games for two hours. They even have a hummus pizza option for vegans. We were treated with great respect. I am so pleased with the customer service and Mike is just as awesome in person as he is over the phone. The laser tag games were super fun -- many different game options to choose from. Instructions were clear, staff were relaxed but maintained order and rules, and equipment were quality. I am sure I made the best decision booking our event at Superplay. The night went very smoothly and all the youth had a really good time. SuperPlay has forced me to redefine my terms about bowling ally food. It has been my experience that bowling ally food is horrible. The one exception being bowling ally's on military installations. . My son having just made it to the US after living in Japan all his life was struggling a bit and so I took him out for some father and son time and came across SuperPlay. The staff were very friendly and quite helpful even when busy. They gave my 6 year old a tour of the Arcade, Bowling Alley, and even showed off a game of Laser Tag which sold both him and myself. We had a blast and would give 5 stars if they weren't having a few technical difficulties that day which were being resolved. The server Michael served people around us until we finally spoke up. We asked if there was a limit to an order because we were confused as to what would make him say that. When we asked questions about different drinks and what type of liquors they were made with he simply said "do you want it or not?" I ordered calamari and chicken strips, the calamari came burnt with only 7 dry edible pieces not any of the two sauces it advertises to come with slim lemon slice not wedge and chicken strips my girlfriend ordered which was 1 1/2 strip because they cut them it and it was super dry too. Super small soomthies for drinks all for a grand total of $35. The bartender taking the order was rude even when I gave her a $5 tip. Went to play in the arcade multiple games are out of order. In the end, our date night was horrible we ended giving our laser tag cards back not wanting to come back again. Would have given no stars if I could. Awful choice for a kids party! The staff had no idea that my kids party was even taking place do to a communication error on their end which caused the kids to be bored until I let them do arcade first they were also short staffed which lead me to setting up the tables by myself. Their arcade cards were gone befor I could even finish setting up so kids were bored again until I added more money to all their cards just so I could finish set up. They teamed a bunch of older kids up against the 3rd grade birthday crew for the two rounds of laser tag that lead to the kids not even having a chance to win. One of the great things about having a party at an establishment is they kinda run the party for you which makes a stress free party however that was not the case even with me expressing my dissatisfaction throughout the party the staff still didnt take the initiative to step up. This place is really great for bowling. We enjoyed an "All you can bowl" night for a flat set price that was about $15 or $20/ person with the shoe rentals and all. It was open till after midnight, with great enthusiastic music, nice big screens for the music videos, and high tech modern bowling control panels all digital programming with nice themes and bowler photo display! ramps are a push on the panel. The place was not crowded on a Friday night, and it was very clean. Yes the waiting staff can do better, especially with the place being not busy, but oh well, I had no complaints about that. We enjoyed bowling here, will return if we had the chance. I highly recommend it. read more
