My favorite produce store....my dogs and hubby loves it when I shop here. My hubby is a total fan now!

Been going there for almost 10 years, but just saw this place for reviews. I buy most of my produce there. I especially love buying seasonal items in bulk, then freezing or dehydrating them. Super prices - even ridiculously low prices in season - and great quality and selection. We are so lucky to have this place so close by! I have nothing but good stuff to say about them! read more

This is my favorite place for fresh vegetables. We got the best corn and watermelon I've ever had in Arizona. It's a drive from me but worth it. Also love the Thrifty Ice Cream at the one in Apache Junction. read more

The main reason that Ranch Market is great is because of the price. It's cheap, you almost can't find cheaper produce around town. However, it comes with a price. The produce quality is hit and miss. One week you may find great deals on grapes, but the cauliflower that was on deal starting two weeks earlier is still there and in pretty bad shape. So you can stock up on the grapes, but you have to pass on the cauliflower. That's sort of how it is. That said, if you don't mind shopping like that, you can get a ton of fruit and veg, like bags full for $20. The other thing is they don't really do organic options at all. I've found that some of their produce (rarely, I should say, does this happen) but I'll examine the label and see that it's actually organic. But it's just by happenstance, they don't have an organic section or options. When it does happen though, it's a great deal, you can get it for really cheap. But more often than not, the produce is not organic and is not local. The oranges in the spring are almost always from Mesa though, so that's nice. So it's sort of like the dollar store for produce. You can get some great deals, you just need to be willing to pick through things and figure out what is decent quality. Beyond the produce, they do also have a nice selection of cheeses and dry goods, along with local honeys, salsas, soup mixes, etc. Those tend to be a little more pricey, but it's nice to be able to buy local products. Overall, I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. I'll err on the generous side and do 4. What makes me want to vote it a little lower is the overall produce quality, the fact that most of the produce is not local, and that there are few, if any, organic options. But I suppose all that comes at a price, and that's what Ranch Market is really good at is keeping the prices low. read more

This market in a word is fantastic. I was directed here by my boss after she found out I had to buy loads of veggies for my dogs dehydrated food. In my particular case, I prep the food as soon as I get home and start dehydrating right away. Some of the comments that I noticed was that the food spoils quickly, that is true of what I had seen, which is why prepping the food as quick as possible is great. Just a few days ago we went in and bought over two dozen packages of strawberries for 3 for $1 and chopped and blended for strawberry "ice". Had we left the strawberries in the fridge for a while yes they would have gone bad quickly, but as they were we hardly had to remove anything for bruising. Another tip is to pay attention to the prices, some items have amazing deals each week: 99c for a head of cauliflower this week last week it was 1.99. Some items are a great deal and other as kind of iffy but it is always worth popping in for the weeks veggies. All in all stop in and you wont be disappointed! read more

Excellent! Friends told me about this store and I should have listened sooner! There is a wide selection of fresh fruit and vegetable at very reasonable prices! Unlike my grocery store experiences, both tasted full of flavor and garden fresh. It is my first time in a very long time I've bought a fresh pear, plum, apricot, etc. and it was sweet, juicy and most excellent. My only regret has been I did not listen to my friends early. I love this place! Where else can you find clamshells of blueberries for $.59? Last week they had peaches for $.69/lb. I always stock up and freeze what I can. Watch what you grab because you can end up with some over ripe items but it's worth the couple of extra minutes for the excellent deals. read more

Even if you don't live in the east Valley, it's worth the time and gas to buy your produce at the Superstition Market in Mesa. The prices are low and for the most part, the quality is good. Today I got cranberries for $0.50 a pound. Sweet potatoes were $0.49 a pound and yellow onions just $0.39 a pound. The markets have weekly specials and prices are rarely what the supermarkets charge for fresh fruit and vegetables. Check them out and start saving on your family's food bills. The staff is friendly and helpful. We eat really well all year, thanks to this market. read more

Everything is old the tomatoes was rottin the cashier with the tattoos had really bad body Odor and I seen her scratching her private area I grossed me out and she callled me over to check me out with my purchases but how am I going to have her handle my produce when she was singing for lost treasure in her pants 45 seconds ago first and last time going here ..! read more

My best friend was there this morning doing her normal grocery shopping she does every 2 weeks at this store and was asked to leave because she is very pregnant. The store manager came up to her and said "so it looks like you're ready to pop would you mind leaving so we don't have to clean up that mess." Ok yes she is close to being due but she hasn't been having labor pains or experiencing anything yet that would denote being close to being in labor fully yet. I find it very rude and unprofessional that they would ask a long time customer, over 5 years, to leave just because she's pregnant. This will not be the only review i will be posting on this store. I will also put this all over the east valley sites for facebook, to let every expecting mother know they are not welcomed in this store. read more

Love that they don't consistently spray their veggies! Great prices, and they seem to have "sales" too. I have seen pricing on things like bell peppers that were great, then went to fabulous!! Plus nice people work here. Another reason I shop here is in the entrance area is a fabulous coffee company with a super friendly gent who offers all the variety of coffees you could want at great prices, much less than the big Seattle based co.! I would suggest shopping here AND they open early! read more

The AJ location (here) seems a lot less crowded to me. I've been to the other one where I simply walked out on a Saturday when I was almost fighting people to get to items. Not the case here. Again, as others have stated, most everything is good to go, ripe, upon bringing it home. So, be careful if you are planning a week's worth of groceries and buy stuff that goes bad before you get to it. Otherwise, what a freakin' bargain! Last time I visited, right before the Superbowl, I filled a cart with veggies for under 20 bucks. That's insane. Would have been 50 or 60 at Basha's or Safeway. They added a new coffee bar which I haven't tried yet, but it looks modern, clean, and cool. Just another added bonus for me driving further to this one and not the Mesa location. read more

I love this place, as well as the store in Mesa off Main Street. People are really nice, friendly, very helpful, even when I show up just minutes before they're about to close. Produce is so much less expensive than what's sold at regular food stores. I'm a regular Wal-Mart shopper, and while my local Mesa store is great and I buy everything else there (except Bananas), but it would have cost me over $35 at Wal-Mart to for the same things I bought from SRM last time I shopped there. Fruits and vegetables are so healthy for me, and because of SRM, I'm able to afford to buy a whole lot more. I make a point of telling everyone I know about the prices at SRM. read more

I love the 3 P's, produce, people, and prices. This is the freshest produce I have found for really good prices and the people who work here always seem to have a good time. If the produce is in season, the prices are just right. They also have a good selection of locally produced jams, snacks, and honey. read more

We were looking for a place to get less expensive organic produce than the local grocery store. This market was exactly what we were looking for. The produce is very fresh (may be the reason is will spoil if not used in a couple of days) and they have a well rounded selection of fruits and veggies. The customer service is very helpful and friendly. They also have a great selection of local honey. read more

What can I say I still love this place, but have had a few issues with them as of late. Now I understand that there are times of year when things are in season so they will be fresher but they seem to offer a lot of sub-par items. Like the green peppers! Seriously they needed CPR the last four times I was there. But the prices, great customer service and location always keep me coming back. Just hope the people supplying their peppers get it together. read more

It's hit or miss. The produce is almost always prime, but the prices are very flux and that definitely bothers me. I mean, fluctuations are typical, but to an extent. It can get a little out of hand here, sometimes. Outside of that, the staff is usually decent and friendly, the place is clean and check out is quick. read more

The newly remodeled and reorganized Apache Junction Superstition Ranch Farmers Market is my absolute favorite place to stock up on all of my produce. They have started to carry more organic options and I got three organic seedless watermelon for a dollar last week. They were very sweet and juicy. They also carry local tortillas breads and a variety of other cooking needs. Also check out the discounted section if you're an avid baker. I picked up a giant box of bananas for around $3 and went on a banana bread and banana muffin journey that left all of my friends and family very happy with my skills. They also carry a variety of fresh herbs in the Cold Case so when you want to feel like a real chef you can get fresh herbs to add to your favorite dish. Check them out !! :-) :-) read more

Okay, so it can take a little time to find the "best" -- and the produce generally isn't visually the best but the quality and price are still way, way above anyplace else. I go here often because it's close to my job. Most of the items I get are fairly decent, but the other day I picked up some nectarines which weren't that good when I got home. Also, as I was looking over the cherries I noticed they didn't seem to be of good quality so I decided against getting them. I don't get much here cause the quality of the produce seems substandard to me. read more

The hrs of this store are not the same as the one in mesa..The hrs are Mon- Sat 7:30 -6:30 and Sun 8-5:30...

This is an incredible market and a true gem in the east valley. And at pumpkin seasons they have the biggest and best!

best place in town to get yours veggie fix on. if u are a juicer you will really love this place. or if you are into home canning and drying your fruits and veggies, u can buy by the case. AWESOME! read more
